  • Join me for a walk around the world's northernmost capital city: Reykjavik! Covered in snow and ice at the end of a long Icelandic winter, Reykjavik may be chilly, but it's a truly wonderful place to explore - and under the winter sun, we'll explore everything from the city's Viking origins to its most spectacular modern landmarks, and admire beautiful natural landscapes too!
On our walk around Reykjavik, we pass countless fascinating landmarks, just a few of which include Alþingishúsið, Reykjavik Cathedral, Austurvöllur, Tjörnin, the Monument to the Unknown Bureaucrat, Alþingisgarðurinn, The Black Cone Monument, Víkurgarður, Aðalstræti 10, Grjótaþorp, Gröndalshús, Ingólfur Square, Reykjavik Harbour, Austurstræti, Austurstræti 22, The Prime Minister's Office, Menntaskólinn, Statue of Jón Sigurðsson, The Stone Pier, Harpa Concert Hall, Kollafjörður, Arnarhóll, Statue of Ingólfur Arnarson, The House of Collections, The National Theatre of Iceland, Prikið, Laugavegur, Skólavörðustígur (Rainbow Road), The Penalty House, Frakkastígur, and Hallgrímskirkja.

This is a superb WalkNTalk about my past 60s childhood abode, but - for the sake pf my 97yr old icelandic mother - it would be really useful if you added an actual human-typed caption track (English) for the hard of hearing as google AI auto-generated captions gets ALL the Icelandic names or words wrong! Takk and Sjaumst!

Hvítt fyrir jöklana og blátt fyrir hafið og himininn og rautt fyrir eldin (eldfjöllin og slíkt) er það ekki rétt? En annars frábært vídeó hjá þér eða ykkur.
