    The reason why Leicester won the league in 15/16 , he left and the clubs struggles , and then chelsea won the league in 16/17 , the reason why france went to the finals in euro 2016 and finally the reason why france wins the world cup in 2018.
    And he he has the heart to say that it was the teams effort.... when he plays a HUGE role. As an Arsenal fan I respect this guy alot. I mean he is so skilled but he is humble. Top lad. Would want a player like him if I was a gaffer.

    Along with his ability to read the game, it's his endurance and his stamina along with his agile physicality which allows him to change directions so quickly while jockeying people. He is also a very quick player tbh. All of those things help him a lot.

    KANTE is an intelligent player, he does more than what the other players do. I finally found someone like me as an example. I would never give up, read the ball so well, super fast but the problem was I wasn't fit as him

  • @loyal77blue
    @loyal77blue 6 лет назад +20

    You mention his ability to steal in on the blindside. This is mainly due to his fantastic anticipation. If he were not thinking one or two steps ahead, more often than not good players would sense his presence and evade Kante’s clutches. Anticipation and positional sense is key to Kante winning back possession.

    • @loyal77blue
      @loyal77blue 6 лет назад

      Additionally, timing plays a significant role to steal in and win clean possession of the ball without fouling.

  • @toddmg
    @toddmg 4 года назад +3

    Kantes acceleration is fast as lightning... The first two to three meters, wow. I wouldn't
    be surprised if he could dunk a basketball. Also has elite anticipation and a delicate,
    precise feel for defending. Love the guy.

  • @einc70
    @einc70 6 лет назад +41

    Mid field central is a key position to the game play. He distributes the ball. Position players for counter attacks, temporize timing. Look at Zidane. This is why they call him "Maestro" in Juventus. You master the position you bring rain and clear sky at every turn. Yes know your position well. Your strength.

    He's the main reason the France world cup team play so well. I notice this right away when I first watch the France team play. And right away, I thought France is going to win the world cup because the team moves the ball so well and they also have good forwards to top it off. Here is the reason he's so effective, he puts the team first and he plays for the team, not for himself. He doesn't hold the ball and tries to show off his skills like many other players do.

    1. Smart positioning helps him win the ball e.g. interceptions
    2. Puts body between body and player
    3. Rarely goes to ground unless he knows he can get the ball
    4. Tackles with MOMENTUM on players' blindsides so they don't see him coming
    5. Chases a player or gets back into position if he gets beat

    Good high level analysis. One note. - Kante didn't play CDM for Leicester or Chelsea (he pretty much did for France). He's a box to box ball-winning midfielder, he's not the kind of guy you have sitting ahead of the defense like Jordan Henderson or Nemanja Matic. He's all over the field based on the situation. Neither Leicester during the title win, nor Chelsea since then have had a pure CDM.

    I love Kante's work rate and he's one the best in the world, I agree with the narrator that he's similar like Makalele's role except i think Makalele's role more defensive and Kante did that role against City recently!

    This is the type of guy Chelsea should build around for the next 5-6 years. He could be one part of a Terry/Lampard/Drogba-style core that brought the team so much success.
