This is soooo LOVELY! I have bestfriend in the Philippines for 13 years already. Her phone is quite malfunctioning and outdated, and so i wanted to buy her an iPhone as well. Growing up my Mom made us open the wrapping on gifts carefully making sure that we didn’t rip it up . This was done so that she could reuse it again for Christmas, birthday and any other occasion she might need to wrap a gift. She also kept ribbons and bows. She would iron out the wrinkles and lines where it had been folded and then she rolled it onto cardboard tubes that she saved from whenever she finished up a roll of wrapping paper. Occasionally we rebelled and “accidentally “ tore the paper so it couldn’t be reused, but generally it was only the ugly paper that got ripped up and crumpled before going into the trash. We also had cloth bags similar to what Amazon uses for gifts that she sewed using fabric that had various themes or prints related to the different holidays. If she didn’t make a gift bag she would just wrap the gift using the fabric like wrapping paper.
