Congregated in his hat,
A crow, a scavenger type,
California redemption provides him with his rent,
Room and board inside a fifth of comfort,
As the wind penetrates his bones,
His mind keep focused,
Tidal waves of sound catapulted,
From his horn wail like lovers,
The coins don't drop consistent as does the mercury,
His meter slows realizing a zenith,
Hes reached perfection,
No one did see him die,

Agreed. This song is about a homeless (?) guy playing tunes to make enough to buy a pint of Anchor Steam (Anchor being a brewery in S.F.). Then he dies. Really sad track for me because I was homeless for a bit myself and witnessed two of my friends die in the cold.

If they really wanted to have it be No they'd have actually named themselves No Effects or had done it No FX, but lo and behold they spell it as NOFX. So take the fucking time to capitalize and show these great musicians some damned respect.

Not just music to make money, the bum "a crow" a sacvenger type, "California Redemption". CA redemption is a recyling denoting for cans and bottles each one being worth a nickel in redemption payment at a recycling center.
@Deratian you no nofx stands for no fucking straight edge do you? if you go to the original website you can read a story of melvin explaining their first tours and how they got the name, they didn't had any inspiration and just called themself Nofx, looks beter then no effecs in my opinion

nofx ripped their name off from another band called negative fx. i've heard it all... no fucking x (x as in straight edge), no fucking xtra, no effects... but the fat mike and the rest of the band only explain it saying they ripped it off and it that it doesn't mean anything more than that
