Well presented and easy to follow information, as always, Alex.
Very many thanks Alex, the Aurora lights are being seen very well indeed here in Somerset, excellent too!! Another brilliant day today, tomorrow too, and depending just far the rain is on Sunday, may also be fine then! Thanks a lot and thanks to all at the Met for your work. Take care everyone.
More Aurorae incoming
Thank you, Alex
Met struggling with predicting these Sunday thunderstorms
always hard to predict, likely to be isolated convection in the south, slight change in wind direction they will miss land
Weather has so many variables it seems no amount of current computing power can predict precise outcomes.. they do their best though
Can see the Aurora very clearly right down from the south coast!! Thanks Alex :)
🎉 from Kent!
Hello
Met Office - UK Weather
I saw the aurora from Devon
Since when does 26° warrant a red label?! That’s just silly.
I think it represents how far it is from the average, so, 26 is unseasonably warm and a very high temperature for May when you take into consideration the average is about 11 or 12
Not in North East cos it's rare
Personally, for me, that is VERY hot 🔥 🥵
It's too warm for walking dogs
@@dixie3058 Like hens teeth! :D
Cool rules
Lots of people in the UK didnt know the Northern Lights were happening because the media didnt report it strongly. Now I see why looking at this report. Afraid to say they misread things including the public mood.
How come bradford has moved into lancashire 😂
Look at the dot, not the word.
The dot is where Bradford is
Why do we get a government message at the end, I want independent advice from the met office please.
hey alex, i watched you on chris tiktok
Classic Uk summer weather pattern. High pressure slowly migrating East introducing a Southerly airflow with increasing heat followed by a breakdown from the Atlantic lowering the pressure thus triggering thunderstorms along the boundary. Hence the term “three fine days and a thunderstorm”
I’ve never heard of that term before, where have you heard it?
Sort your map out please atleast show capitals of UK
