      @doszl Месяц назад +1

      always hard to predict, likely to be isolated convection in the south, slight change in wind direction they will miss land

      Weather has so many variables it seems no amount of current computing power can predict precise outcomes.. they do their best though

    Since when does 26° warrant a red label?! That’s just silly.

      @Denathorn Месяц назад +4

      I think it represents how far it is from the average, so, 26 is unseasonably warm and a very high temperature for May when you take into consideration the average is about 11 or 12

    Lots of people in the UK didnt know the Northern Lights were happening because the media didnt report it strongly. Now I see why looking at this report. Afraid to say they misread things including the public mood.

    Classic Uk summer weather pattern. High pressure slowly migrating East introducing a Southerly airflow with increasing heat followed by a breakdown from the Atlantic lowering the pressure thus triggering thunderstorms along the boundary. Hence the term “three fine days and a thunderstorm”

    • @Jamesthesnail
      @Jamesthesnail Месяц назад

      I’ve never heard of that term before, where have you heard it?
