I am not, strictly speaking, a huge fan of Jordyn Wieber's gymnastics - oh, she 's excellent, but I don't go so much for the power gymnasts, I prefer the Kyla Ross type - but this routine deserves to go down as one of the all-time best in the sport. The choreo matched the music and the music matched the gymnast perfectly. It's a real pleasure to watch, every single time.
I wish the judges would give these girls more credit for how the choreography fits the music, sure Gabby had just as high of a D scor and Aly's was higher but Jordyn's choreography was AWESOME and her tumbling was difficult too and I feel like she never got enough credit for the combo of the two :p
Her legs were nowhere near 180 degrees on her gogean. She did the same thing in 2012 qualification but that time she got the full 3 tenth deduction which was the nail on the coffin in terms of her qualifying for all around
She actually got just as much bonus for doing the jump out of the third pass as she did for doing a front layout. And the jump was much more consistent. Jordyn's difficulty was one of the top in the world, it was the two per country rule that unfortunately spoiled her chances. Such a shame, she's an excellent gymnast.
I will never not look back at all these women knowing how much bullshit and awfulness they were living through. It breaks my heart for them all. Such warriors.
Saying that Gabby didnt medal in an event final doesn't exactly prove your point that she only won the ALL-AROUND because of a lucky day. She is an ALL-AROUND gymnast not a specialist, smh dummies!
I never felt that Gabby Douglas was a good enough gymnast to win the all-around in 2012. Her performance was ok. I honestly felt that Aly and Jordan should have been the ones to be selected. Looking at Gabby's performance from 2012 and 2016, yes, she has good form but when it comes to the small things and me of course being picky, I think Jordan should have been with Aly, all the way. No question.
If Jordyn had been with Aly, Viktoria would unquestionably be AA champion. As good as Jordyn was, she did not have the start value to challenge Gabby or Vika that day. Her bars were shaky and her beam connections were terrible (not her fault, rather her coach trying to be too clever with strange connections that never got credited internationally). I'm not a fan of Gabby's gymnastics, and still think her bars were overscored that day, but she was the only one of the 3 that had the potential to beat Vika.
I don’t understand this viewpoint AT ALL. Past performances have nothing to do with anything. You have to be the best on the day and Gabby was the BEST. Period. No one was “selected”. They earned (or didn’t earn) their placements. Stop downgrading peoples accomplishments just because your fave got beat.
Do you even understand gymnastics? Gabby has a higher D-score on 3 out of the 4 events and Jordyn's shaky bars and beam (at least in 2012) would've have prevented her from grabbing gold or silver. Probably would've won bronze. As for the event finals Gabby's d-score on bars couldn't challenge the medalists and she fell on beam, it happens. She wasn't lucky in the all-around she hit 4 routines in the TF prior to that and she rose to the challenge. Olympic Champ without a doubt
She could have EASILY beat gabby for gold, she was the reigning world champion for crying out loud! Gabby was not the best all-around gymnast in the world, as proven in the event finals where she failed to win even one medal, which is something that hasn't happened since the 1940s. If she was truly the best in the all around, she would have placed in event finals too, but she did not, proving she was not the best but simply had a lucky day
No, Jordyn really couldn't have touched Gabby or Vika that day. Her start values on bars, beam, and floor were just too low to touch Gabby that day. She would've been battling Aliya for bronze. And yes, Gabby failed to medal in event finals, but so did Jordyn...

Jordyn still has the cleanest, single best triple to stag I have ever seen! her twisting form was just amazing
Her form is indeed great. I still prefer Cheng Fri triple twist though 😉 they are epic
Santiago Pazos I love Cheng feis but I also really loves Shawns. Even tho her steps are huge and uncontrolled, the form in the air is beautiful.
the song is Wild Dances, by Ruslana
Love it! She dances and she's right on the music! Great musicality!
Maybe the best she's done with that new routine she connected the triple to the stag nicely and her gogean made it around enough to be credited
Her legs were nowhere near 180 degrees on her gogean. She did the same thing in 2012 qualification but that time she got the full 3 tenth deduction which was the nail on the coffin in terms of her qualifying for all around
@@vjj1764 This gogean is very near 180 degree, better than the ones she did in olympics
It actually was okay here but still somewhat deductible
Ahh! I love her so much! :) She has such an upbeat routine.

1:41 you can see the judge smiling :)

It breaks my heart for them all.
Such warriors.
Love this routine so much!!!!!!!! GO JORDYN
Really amazing how she tumbles from one corner of the floor to another corner. Along with what else she does on the floor.
I loved her floor routine here, but I love her floor routine more in day 2.
Does anybody else think she's like the Shawn Johnson of 2012. Well supposed to be...
In terms of hype, yes.
Amazing!
beautiful.
that was almost flawless omg
Unbelievable!
love the ending!
She so good

She is my favorite gymnast and gabby Douglas
Her first two tumbling passes were just like Moors but her leap was different at the end.
These ladies do somuch-fully trained. It's cool 😎
I freaking love her to death!
They were saying it was possible for her to move ahead of Gabby Douglass since she has a high start value.

Jordan and aly would not have won gabby had more difficulty and was better than both. You're disgusting
Great Routine!
even though the song echoes is sound even better
This music is slightly different from her Olympic choreography... you can clearly hear the difference 0:44 - 0:56
what is wrong with the music playing. It's not jordyn's fault, but it may be the stadium's echo
Possible for her to finish first. She ended up getting a 15.250 which tied her for first with Gabby Douglas.
To get a score on the 16 range. I think that's what they were talking. :)
To score high
whats the name of the song ?????? please ! :)
shes so cute in her routine and then u see her mussled :0

possible for her to what?
should have been a 15.3.
uh k do you think people care?
nope, aly won gold
I really hate that stupid echo.
