Sitting at this party
Wondering if anyone knows me
Really sees who I am
Oh it’s been so long since I felt really known
Fragile in the morning
Can’t hold on to much of anything
With this hole in my hand
I can’t pretend that we always keep what we find
Yes everybody splits apart sometimes
Living in the wake of overwhelming changes
We’ve all become strangers
Even to ourselves
We just can’t help
We can’t see from far away
To know that every wave might not be the same
But its all apart of one big thing
Oh it’s not just me, it’s not just me
It’s not just me, it’s everybody
Mercy is the only
Cure for being so lonely
Has a time ever been more revealing
That the people are hurting
Oh it’s not just me
I guess it’s everybody
Yes we all bleed the same way
Oh it’s not just me, it’s not just me
It’s not just me, It’s everybody
Oh it’s not just me, it’s not just me
It’s not just me, It’s everybody

I BELIEVE IN WEYES BLOOD SUPREMACY ❤️
Weyes words!
@@Nyika1203 😭
@@Nyika1203 hahahaha
I don't believe in the word Supremacy, but i believe in Weyes Blood
Amén ✨❤️🙏
Her voice, especially this beautiful tune, reminds me so much of The Carpenters, it’s uncanny
Joni Mitchell too
Yes thank you I couldn’t put my finger on it
I thought the same! ❤ so beautiful
I seriously turned on the radio and thought I was hearing Karen Carpenter’s voice until I googled the song. 📻
With a sprinkling of Carol King on top 💜
She has such an elegant, fluid voice
Her style reminds me of Karen Carpenter
Don't say this often, but that's one of the best songs I've heard in my life
Karen Carpenter has left us but you came to look after our hearts and ears. Thank you for being here. 🙂
I feel like there's a little Laura Nyro in there too.
And Carole King
And Joni!
@@pigeon67 Agreed. There was an attention to harmonic development in '70s songwriting (especially in "soft rock" and "singer-songwriter" songs) that has been largely out of favor for some time. I'm excited to hear that showing up more in Weyes Blood's songs, in songs from Feign Jima's EP "Funny How Things Turn Out", in the decidedly retro stuff that Drugdealer has been recording, in the Paul-Simon-influenced writing of Andy Shauf... I'd love to know of more. :)
This deserves way more attention. It's very rare for a talent like this to come around and sound so timeless. Beautiful.
Lyrically, I have never needed something more. I’m standing completely still in my kitchen, transfixed
This song feels like a life i haven't lived yet, its so warm but distant and familiar
The unexpected chord changes give the feeling (at least to me) of a sudden shift in perspective to something new and far away from the safe harbor of the established tonality
Wow! Beautiful voice! Karen Carpenter immediately springs to mind👏👏👏
Weyes Blood with more opening credits to a 70’s movie music. Love it.
Unbelievably good songwriting! Multiple listens and attempts to crack the song’s immediately familiar yet endlessly idiosyncratic code reward without apparent end. And then multiplied by that pure, subtle, confident voice singing such deeply pertinent words-Jesus, man! I may be even more hooked than I was by Titanic Rising. Not since I first heard Hejira and couldn’t listen to anything else for a year have I felt like this. I’m afraid the full album may induce some kind of Infinite Jest-like stupor!
very relatable song, expressed so beautiful, ethereal. weyes blood, reminding me of a mermaid who is a myth but she actually exists

Thanks for writing this out! One line correction: it should be "But it's all a part of one big thing," not "But its all apart of one big thing."
It's not just me - I'm sure a lot of us needed this song today
If Natalie isn't singing at my funeral I'm not dying.
so beautiful if I didn't know who this was I would have thought this was Joni Mitchell. This is very much inspired by both sides now its so amazing. One of the best songs she has done. Weyes blood is amazing
This is officially my favorite new death metal song.
i really love how she's not that too much popular yet her songs are so underrated and literally more talented than other artists nowadays, she really deserves a grammy.
dude who cares about grammys nowadays. It’s crazy to me when people bring them up like they’re worth something
@@rohoznikbutcher4330 Agreed, can't believe anybody still gives a shit that actually cares about music... They've always just been a lowest-common-denominator popularity contest. Would be great if there was a musical award that just awarded talent and artistic integrity.
Maybe there’s a reason she’s underrated. Maybe there’s a message only some are privy to hear.
@@Backpackguy12 I suspect it's purposeful, she has no interest in being Taylor Swift.
I have to admit I was a bit nervous Natalie couldn't follow up the last LP with something equally good or better...thankfully she has proven me wrong. This is fantastic and I'm going to try really hard not to burn myself out on this before the new record comes out.
Seems like you don’t have faith in her as an artist. Yikes
This feeling exactly, Titanic Rising was such a masterpiece, that I still listen to every day.
I agree. And while one could certainly argue that this sounds exactly like _Titanic Rising,_ that doesn't bother me one bit. You know what they say: If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
@@hahatime12 Not necessarily. Sometimes great art can't be recreated, matched, or topped. It's just like how people felt that "US" and "NOPE" couldn't hold a candle to "Get Out."
Honestly, Titanic Rising was a masterpiece, and her work with Tim was pretty good too. Most fans just cross their fingers hoping the next album can give you similar feelings.
Can’t get over the album cover
THE best album is coming, AOTY already
So hard to come by music that sounds like this these days, so lovely
I was just on my way to pull up some George Harrison to listen to, and this popped up. Same vibe. Thank you Natalie.
ok the intro is basically the ending of titanic risen/rising?????? i have chills
Man, this new album is gonna emotionally wreck me. I just know it.
incredible as expected, I can’t wait for the new album
Weyes I seriously am obsessed with your music, I can't explain just how much I appreciate the style and aesthetic of your music. It gives me vibes that some songs of the 70s, 80s, and 90s had and that is my kind of music! There's nobody doing it like you now 💕
While you're waiting for the rest of this new Weyes Blood album, you might enjoy the first release from Feign Jima. Pretty great first EP, with some songwriting and vocal style reminiscent of some 70s singer-songwriter gems and 90s alternative: ruclips.net/video/PcdWX-HnUtY/видео.html (I stumbled across them on Bandcamp and have really been digging Funny How Things Turn Out.)
@@markproxy Thanks for suggesting this, I just checked out that EP and loved it!
@@Inth3V0id Good to hear! I think Jamie-Lee Fanning is super talented - rich, nuanced, emotive voice, relatable lyrics, and a natural feel for melodies that let her soul go where it wants to. Plus she has a great band backing her up.
Her voice is just amazing. Adore her
i am obsessed with her haunting yet reassuring disposition
New music from Natalie. The sun shines for us.🌄
If modern pop music treats chord changes as if they are a scarce resource, then Natalie Mering is the one stlll driving a Humvee. Her command of advanced functional harmony rivals Jeff Lynne.
How did the queen die? Weyes blood is so alive
Karen Carpenter of our time- we are blessed to have this talent ❤️
The second the drums kicked in heavily reminded me to the intro of the song Coney Island Baby by Lou Reed. Listening to these two songs back-to-back are a treat
What a gorgeous track and YES I DO NEED A NEW WEYES BLOOD ALBUM IN MY LIFE 🌌
Weyes blood coming in clutch with another banger
Her music has changed my life 🕊 🕊 🕊
Mind blown. That voice is gone straight to my heart.
My ears experiencing exquisite voice of an angel
Instant pre-order. That violet colored vinyl is 🔥
Here I was thinking YT was playing me some obscure Karen Carpenter or Anne Murray track. Then I see this was just released. Damn.
i was genuinely crying while listening to this...it's just that i luv u sm and ur music 😭😭😭 u never disappoint and i love the production of this song sm 😭
Nova era começando e só quero deixar meu registro aqui, Weyes sempre arrasando 💖

The world’s heart captured in words and music. Loooove Weyes Blood. Reminds me of my dad who passed, beautiful timeless music 😿
I'm sorry for your loss. You'll see each other again someday.
It's incredible. I can't wait for the full release
I LOVE the vocals being so high up in the mix. It sounds like Natalie is physically singing directly into my brain.
I swear that @WeyesBlood really made me travel through an undefy cosmic place, made me arrive to an Aurora of retro vibes (can't say 60's nor 70's) and then meeting an euphoric rainbow of velvety chorus, voices and strings. Please Natalie, release that album nowww
Glorious in every kind of way!
That was gorgeous.
Soothing and goosebumps.
Fantastic. Cannot wait for the new album. Can't wait for your US tour leg!!
I'm going to see her open for Beck tomorrow night!!! Can't wait!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Just wow, this is absolutely beautiful.
I'm so ready for this new album!!!
I feel like she was onto something with Titanic Rising.... like when she said "a lot's gonna change"... so this time I will be paying attention! Beautiful song
i cant describe how much i need this album to drop
September is officially opened. Thank you dear.
It's AMAZING! Love u Natalie 💙 Come to Brazil soon pls 🇧🇷
I really, really need this album to drop into my life.
She's an astonishing talent, but how does she know so much about me when we've never met?
bcoz it's not just her, it's everybody
Beautiful voice. Genius songwriting and arrangement.❤
This song is healing my soul
Im no longer a self-centered person because of this song. Thank you Mother Natalie
I am SO EXCITED for this album
Heard this on the radio while i was in the shower yesterday and thought Who Is This?.. convinced myself it was some old Heart song. Beautiful voice and great production. I am definitely a new Fan!
Vocals are fucking immaculate. Holy Christ.
I am so glad I got a chance to see her at the EARL in Atlanta. What a talent! Amazing
Holy mother mary of joseph... thank you Natalie!!!!
Wonderful, I've been waiting for this new album for at least two years. I'm so happy, so happy. It is simply magnificent. I could never do without your voice again, but I knew that since you met in 2015. 🌸💮✨💖
Thank you for your hard work, Natalie. This single is *chef kissed*
It is unfair to compare her voice to anyone else's. This is a genuine cornucopia of voice, instrumentation, and production. Deeply polished.
Not to mention, loving and sincere.
It takes many years of work and practice for a team of people to pull off something of such professional kindness together.
ethereal fantastic and timeless
Thank you for this queen😭
WAAAAAAH THE LONG WAIT IS OVER!!!! TITANIC HAS FINALLY RISEN😭😩🙏🏼
So ready for this album
I can’t wait for the album I claim “god turn me into a Flower”
First song I've heard from her. Time to check out the rest of works. Love finding new music that is good.
her last two albums are a good place to start ✨
Her last album is the best album of 2019
@@petegittins91 Thanks Pete, appreciate the suggestion! So far been digging everything I've heard.
@@laylamain4418 Nice. Definitely going to check it out. Thank goodness my super duper underrated album released in 2020. ;p
I wish I was discovering her for the first time again.
absolutely stunning, as always 🥺✨

Te amo weyes blood, eres lo mejor q m pudo pasar este año
My Queen is Back 👸🏻
Lovely voice 🌟
“mercy is the only cure for being this lonely”
I melted to heaven while listening to this
A MULHER VOLTOU !!!
BRO THIS IS SO GOOD
The chorus is calm and no highnotes. This is different from that depressing album Titanic Rising. This is the healing album that we've always wanted.
Interesting, I didn't find that album depressing at all.
