  • She's going to go down all the aisles! Checking out prices on stuff we buy like Chai Tea, chicken, tomato soup and kale. A few bananas are on the list as well...and we can't forget broccoli.
    We have to get a looney to release the shopping carts...don't worry we'll get it back!
    It will be fun and an adventure in a Class C plus, bigger than a vanlifer (Van Life) but smaller than a truck Super Class C. We'll scout out places for future visits to Alaska (there will be 4 of them).

    Our Class C is built by Thor Motorcoach on a Ford F550 chassis. It's a production build Magnitude model XG32. We tow our red Jeep Wrangler Sahara behind it. We've made some modifications to it so that we can boondock comfortably. Lithium batteries, Victron 3000w multi-plus inverter, dual alternators charge while traveling and mods to the water system greatly enhance it's boondocking capabilities.
    Our extreme completely custom 5th wheel is built on a semi-trailer chassis with air suspension and air brakes. Completely loaded it weighs 42,000 lbs rolling down the highway. And we do roll down the highway nearly every week. You see, we believe that if your home has wheels they should be used.

    Power system:
    3250 watts of solar with Panasonic panels
    30.1 KWH of Lithium batteries
    2- 4K watt Magnum Inverters deliver power as if we are on shore power
    2- 4K watt 240v Cotek Inverters deliver additional power for our LG Mini split HVAC and stove
    Coachnet is our roadside assistance company we use but hopefully we don't use them too often. LOL
    We are not sponsored by Whataburger but I do enjoy them anytime I can get my hands on one. They used to be just out of Texas but they have expanded.

    Thanks for the tip on the PC Chai. I've never tried it as I just automatically go to Tazo. I'll have to give it a try. We love broccoli too, but, have been eating broccolini a lot more lately. We sometimes take a trip to the US for a couple of days just to do a bit of shopping. We love finding groceries that we don't have in Canada. Also, Campbell's soup is no longer made in Canada. It is all made in the US. They do have a Marketing HQ and Distribution Centre here in Canada. The cans do say Campbells of Canada and they also say Designed in Canada. Hmm, does that mean the product or the labels or both? Interesting!

But, because most people still order food, produce, etc., in Imperial . . , they can also post the prices in pounds, ounces, etc... Because of inflation, chicken has gone through the roof. Thanks, Terry. That just really threw us off because we were expecting everything in metric... so we had to readjust back to imperial! Lol. Funny.

      @@bigtruckbigtravels You're welcome. We use a mix of both systems: the forced, official one (metric), and the one normal people use in their everyday lives (Imperial).

    Well lookie here - someone found their "Happy Place" 😃 That store is HUGE. Not sure what that other vegetable was you were smelling (I think it was a veggie) - I will have to go back and turn on Close Caption to see how you say it and what it is. The candy aisle is for me! Chocolate covered raisins, cranberries, blueberries - actually anything covered in Chocolate works for me! That seemed like a bargain for what you were able to get. When I saw that gallon of milk... I was scratching my head since you are not in Orion how would you fit it since the frig is much smaller. Anyhow, thanks for letting us tag along... keep enjoying yourselves!

      Oh, she was in her "place" all right! We have a small but full sized fridge in Curiosity. It's amazing what Sondra can pack in it! We were smelling Durain...it's a weird fruit and smells bad!

    Great shopping trip, but I have creator question, does youtube de monetize because of the background music in the store?

    • @bigtruckbigtravels
      @bigtruckbigtravels  Год назад

      Thanks for the question. We're not doing the channel for monetary gain but if the "background music" heard in a video is incidental to the video story then YT does not have an issue with it. In other words, if the music heard in a video is background and not the "point", main feature or subject of the video then YT doesn't care about it and you're ok to use it. Now video a concert....well, you'll get dinged for that one!

    • @RVLifeSoaringTogether
      @RVLifeSoaringTogether Год назад +1

      Early on in my channel I had videos get dinged because of music playing on our car radio and another in a restaurant.

    • @bigtruckbigtravels
      @bigtruckbigtravels  Год назад

      @SoaringTogether that's interesting. I've never been dinged for background music on any of my videos. Now, the music is definitely background because we're talking over it.
