Director of this film, Farhan, is the sibling of Gully Boy director, Zoya. He's also the director of the film Lakshya, whose song ' Main Aisa Kyun Hoon ' you reacted to, the Hrithik one. Both siblings pretty much nail every piece of cinema they make.
And he is also the actor in the movie Bhag Milka bhag, and zindagi milagi doobara (which was directed by Zoya his sister) the ones you reacted to :)

Don 1 & 2 are good. Don 1 a bit kitsch but quite enjoyable to watch. Don 2 more in the style reminiscent of the Bourne movies.

What worked was the fact there was an ingenious twist in the end unlike the original.
Don 2 is slick with some good action but the plot was well okayish... Still one time watch...

Don was actually Amitabh Bachchan's movie from 1978, which was remade in Tamil in 1980 called Billa starring Rajinikanth.
Don was then remade in Hindi in 2006 starring SRK, which had a sequel (The trailer which u saw here). Don 3 is expected to release in 2020.
Billa was also remade in Tamil in 2007 starring Ajith Kumar, which too had a sequel.
Surprisingly, Billa was also remade in Telugu in 2009 starring Prabhas (Bahubali actor).
Since we have so many film industries, with different sets of target audiences, movies get remade most of the times. And it is fun to see the perspective of each rendition. Some even have different storylines and plot twists.

It is a sleek movie and this dialogue was in the original movie that it is not only difficult but actually impossible to catch Don which is one of the most memorable dialogues of a very memorable movie. Here Don is used in the same context as Don Corleone (like mafia boss is called Don in India - italian word not indian). Don the remake starred SRK and this is a sequel to it called Don 2.

A super cool action thriller. One of those rare films that's commercial, but not extremely over the top. SRK is brilliant as DON. Very charismatic and stylish. Do watch this for sure!

Don was originally written in 70 by the writer duo Salim-Jawed. Salim is father of Salman Khan and Jawed is father of Farhan khan who is a multi talented producer, actor, director, singer. He remade Don in 2000's with the original script Salim-Jawed wanted for the original Don. He was also a co writer in Don 2 which you were confusing with Sahrukh Khan

Talaash was one of the next movies I watched. Completely caught me off guard.
CHAK DE INDIA is the next SRK movie you should react to. He's a brilliant actor. And yeah definitely a Shape Shifter. He's won 14 Filmfare awards that's like equivalent to Indian Oscars which is the highest for any Indian actor. Get ready to be blown away by the phenomenon that is SHAH RUKH KHAN.

Yes this movie is on the lines of MI & James Bond. Don is based on the original 1978 Don movie starring Amitabh Bachchan, which was a superhit! Most of the characters are same, just revived in a different time. I'm personally not a fan of SRK but this franchise is entertaining for sure.
