The worse situation I ever got into with Viruses many years ago I was using McAfee back then, I will never use it but its great to see people like you showing us how to uninstall the rubbish. Thanks for the video, keep up the great work.
So if mcafee knows everyone uninstalls their programs, why can't they get the hint. Lol. These programs are all intrusive and should be removed immediately.
You said it. I have tried to remove it multiple times from my Asus laptop but it refuses to get uninstalled. That way it is more like a pesky virus than an anti virus.
I have always been suspicious about computer viruses. The easiest way to sell antivirus software is to script and spread viruses from the antivirus developers themselves. Job done, revenue received.
Thank you so much for helping me get rid of this thing off my computer. It keeps shoving randomly timed pop-up ads asking me to renew the subscription.
Whilst my laptop was getting fixed, The team who fixed it decided to put McAfee on it. (I was going to download Avast, Way better.) It expired and not I can't delete it off... Thank you for making this!
Easy to follow walk through, but I'm wondering why you didn't mentioned that Microsoft Defender should automatically be enabled after McAfee has been removed (though not always - that could be another video in itself) .
If I got a laptop with this pre-installed, I'd make sure Windows was activated and then just do a clean install of Windows ... I don't trust companies like this one bit ...
Thank you for providing the MCPR download link as the McAfee support website sometimes stays forever loading, so they can keep their program stuck on your computer of course!
@@Britec09 I used the free firewall and antivirus which I think is pretty good, but the PC was lagging and I thought I would uninstall ZoneAlarm to see if that was the culprit. McAfee didn't use to be a pain to remove like that. now that it is i would say that's a good reason not to use it. It left some process'es on my nephews lap top and it won't let you kill the process or delete the associated files. keeps saying need admin permission even though he is on the admin account. interesting none of the McAfee process'es show up in autoruns or process explorer as malicious. I tried to tell him not to ever install McAfee but he didn't listen.
If you think McAfee is a fat deep install, try uninstalling Norton. I'm looking to do that now and their tool doesn't delete all of their hooks. I have to waste time searching for advice on this pop up or that PUP when I notice them. And for some reason these companies wonder why they lose customers?!

When you have to use a tool to uninstall something it is garbage.
I have to agree lol
The uninstaller tool is mostly used for that special case of when another AV detects McAfee or whatever as an installed conflict.
Mcafee is garbage...
So if mcafee knows everyone uninstalls their programs, why can't they get the hint. Lol. These programs are all intrusive and should be removed immediately.
Mcafee was originally a scam. There are so many articles and I believe there is a documentary on John Mcafee's whole life.

Even Avast does not do much. The only saving grace is, Avast can be uninstalled easily.
Easy to follow walk through, but I'm wondering why you didn't mentioned that Microsoft Defender should automatically be enabled after McAfee has been removed (though not always - that could be another video in itself) .
But what happens to the program you download to remove it? Is that easy to get rid of if possible?
