fun fact: camila did make a song with Cashmere Cat with add. production from SOPHIE called “Love Incredible”. She could’ve joined the “hyperpop” sound a lot sooner (this is one of my fave songs on Cashmere Cat’s album “9”) but with this new song I fear she’s already too late.

Yeah, hyperpop is more or less dead. I’m not going to say that it died with Sophie but it was always going to be hard to recover from losing her. PC Music is over, Charli XCX is going in a more old school direction, Gecs are dragging their sound out of the genre, if they were ever even in it. Spiritually, maybe, but not practically. It’s very possible that Hannah Diamond stops making music with PC Music gone. She already slept through most of the genre’s history, doesn’t seem like she cares too much, as much as I deeply love her work.
I don’t think it’s even going to be absorbed by the mainstream. It feels like it has dead ended.

I was hoping to hear how you felt about the new Kings of Leon track after having their first single from this new album in your best tracks. Personally, wasn't too crazy about it. Also, new bbno$ song slaps and, while it's not a single, this new Blu DeTiger x Magdalena Bay song is one of the catchiest bangers of the year so far.
