    Good stuff I love how you explained it with explaining what the part IS and it's FUNCTION. Man I ask some journeymen or master Electricians and they get all pissed off like I'm testing them bro in just trying to learn. Lolol 😢

    Thanks. What happens if you run the HPSodium bulb slightly under its rated voltage. I have a choke ballast for 240 V and our supply is 208 V. So the voltage across the bulb is almost 10% lower. Will the bulb last longer or lasts less

    As said in the video, the capacitor is optional... It's function is to adjust the 'power factor' if this is not done you will have a higher electricity bill for running the same lamp with no extra light output , perhaps about 20% higher I think ?

    Can you run 2 lights/lamps of one ballast and is there away to bring down power usage even more making them more efficient in power consumption.

      It's not a good idea because it lower the efficiency but in case you need that you have to buy a special ballast

    • @electricalengineeringplane6620
      @electricalengineeringplane6620  2 года назад

      Thank you for your question, but the answer is no ,you have to use ignitor which works as a starter for starting the lamp
