Although you can seldom get a seat after waiting 40 mins. BECAUSE its been discovered by All the airline pilots who earn 200K per year and stay at the big hotel down the street. Facts!
Back in the day 98 to 2000 had $5 all you could eat and drink pig roast, real pig roasted + (EIB beer) on Sunday NFL days. ..then free bbq Burgers dogs and sides on MNF. Those days are long gone.
As a local…I’ve been there many times! Usually to meet up with other local friends for the cheep beer and food. Had a friend from out of town stay in a room that was more like a suite with a separate small living room area that had a second bathroom attached to it. Very nice room for the price.
We were starving and Village Pub Fish and Chips hit the spot!! Parked just feet from the entrance to Ellis Island..very convenient for us..wish we would have scoped out the place a little better..love your info for sure..Love All You Do for Us and Vegas ❤
☆☆☆☆☆OMG You had me at unstocked Mini-fridge!! I'm SO THERE! Almost the entire Strip rooms have No Mini-fridge and microwaves anymore unless you PAY 30 dollars more per day. Thank you for this vlog I am a believer now. Ellis Island here I Come ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We haven’t stayed at Ellis island, but we go there every time we visit. The BBQ dinner is awesome, we have always had good luck on the slots and the owner keeps making improvements, we notice every time we go.
Wouldn't choose to stay there, but I love EI's restaurants. Last year I wound up eating at the Village Pub six times in a 5-day visit (stayed at Treasure Island), and was kicking myself that I didn't get to either the BBQ or Front Porch! Really good food at excellent un-Vegasy prices.
I adore Ellis Island. My first trip to Vegas I visited Ellis every day of the trip, and my last trip to Vegas I went twice. I would be hesitant to stay at Ellis because the rooms are pretty mundane and I like the action and vibe of Fremont street but when I do Vegas I have to visit Ellis. It is a low rollers dream. I love doing afternoons at Ellis, play craps for a few hours and do dinner at Village Pub before kickstarting the night. $5 craps and $5 blackjack are gems of present day Las Vegas. In addition, the staff at Ellis keep their own tips, so they have lots of motivation to provide good service and you know when you reward them for it they get to keep it. The craps dealers at Ellis are fun and charismatic and I've always had good drink service at the tables and machines.
So now that I've subscribed, I have found that you are a wonderful, warm, funny and intelligent tour guide for all of us that are thinking of moving to Vegas. You have a wonderful personality and you're becoming a friend to many of us! By the way, I don't know how tall you are but you oftentimes are less than an inch away from the top of the doorways in some of the hotels that you go in...Anyway, thank you for your videos and being wonderful!
Damn 115. I can get rates at the D. Golden Gage QQQQ Almost always at like 50-60. Including any fees. Not counting QQQQ no resort fee there. It just seems a bit high for Ellis island.
@@kellyj5389... you aren't wrong about that, especially it was week days ..... you can even get $35 plus resort fees in some caesars casinos @ the strip, all you gotta do is get player's card & play a bit ....
Love this place. Village Pub restaurant is super affordable and big portions. It is a really short walk to the back of Horseshoe where the tram is so you can get to any place on the strip relatively quickly. Not much of a sportsbook if that is your thing but does have a place to make bets.
Last time I was in Vegas I stayed at my timeshare which was just around the corner, we had breakfast there the first day and enjoyed it so much it was our go to place the whole trip. Love the videos.
I really like the casino- I just feel like for the same price you could stay at nicer places around town and then just come over to Ellis Island for some food and good gambling.
The pool area is very charming. Definitely a throwback to the 1950's, 1960's, where, as you swim, you get to breathe in car exhaust. I remember swimming in a motel like this in the 1970's, and having whole families stare at us swimmers as they got out of the car. :)
It has been 3 years since I visited, but had phenomenal good luck on the slots! One evening it was past midnight and the security guard was happy to walk me to the garage, which was much appreciated.
Never stayed at Ellis as a hotel, but visited the restaurant/brewery many times. The value there is unbelievable considering how expensive Vegas is these days. Ellis is the best well known hidden gem!!😂😂 Oh yeah, and another great video Jacob. Keep em coming.
If they keep their prices unchanged, it'll help them fight off the mega-resorts. If I ran a huge one like Excalibur or Circus Circus, I'd be nervous about this hotel's affordability. And what's with hotels charging "resort fees"?? That's just obscene and greedy.
Hi Jacob - I enjoy watching all your videos. I've been to Vegas many times, but you showed alot of places and things I never knew was there. Great information for anyone who is going to Vegas. You also are hysterical too. I laugh so hard watching these videos. Keep up the great work. Bob
As always, great video Jacob. Very surprised the Ellis Island has such a high resort fee, for being a non-resort, only a motel sized pool and small hot tub 😮. We have been to Ellis Island for for and some gambling, which is always well a great value. But based upon your review of the hotel side of things, that part of the house doesn't some like a good value. We agree the staff have always been friendly and helpful with great service, that a lot of casinos just don't strive to provide.
I was there for five nights in late May 2023 and was completely satisfied. The room was great. The restaurant food was basic but tasty and inexpensive.
I love gambling at a casino... my first trip to the bellagio is a golden memory... from when I first turned age 21. Nowadays, there's no way I can afford that sort of champagne taste. No-gimmicks blackjack and craps with those minimums sounds so nice. And it's not like I can't go to the strip if I need that nice poker room the bellagio has. If I ever get a chance to take a real vacation again, I will look into this. Thank you for the video.
I have stayed here 3 times, and never had a issue. My friends and I love the Frontyard, we start our day here for brunch. To save money on ATM fees, i usually walk next door to 7-11 and use the Atm there, much cheaper.
Great review. Love Ellis. One big thing I felt was missed is the dealers keep their own tips and actually enjoy seeing you win. Even when I was losing, I had a great time
You totally understated how great the BBQ is there! I have been going there ever since way before the BBQ opened and it has been top-notch since day one. FYI, the lodging seems like a motel because it was a Super 8 motel for many years and the casino didn't have its own lodging. It is THE place for karaoke! Unfortunately, that means that you will wait at least 90 minutes in between songs if you are a karaoke veteran. I actually met my wife there 25 years ago!
The best bang for your buck around. I love the Ellis! Your review was excellent but the only I would of said is the energy on the casino floor at night is great. Lots of locals hanging out having a great time.
Congrats on the 200k. I subscribed back after I first went to Vegas in 2013.... I remember you doing the Pawn Plaza when it opened back in the day.... All the best from Scotland....
I've had good experiences at the E.I. Love the free parking! So close to your room, too. Good cheap, beers. They used to give you a free growler with your room but looks like that's no more

Even though I had a bad experience with an employee on my last trip, I keep hearing about the food. The bbq I've been told is some of the best.. two separate taxi drivers said it's a good place to get food. I'll stop back in!
Multiple electrical outlets by the desk are a bonus for me. I have stayed at so many hotels/motels that have done renovations but still have few if any power outlets near the desk where you are probably going to work at.
Went here back in 2016 when on a roadtrip. Stayed here for 2 nights and I really liked it. Cheap, clean, close to the strip, there'a 7 Eleven right next door, which is nice too.
Great place to gamble! Close enough to the strip where you can walk. 5-dollar Black Jack, can’t find that on the strip. Great and accurate information. Thanks!
I know this is an old video but it popped up for me today. I would love to stay at Ellis Island. I like the casino and location. Unfortunately, I just can’t. It’s too run down. If they remodeled the hotel and put some actual money into it, expand their pool deck etc…. I would definitely stay there. They are remodeling their Casino AGAIN but completely neglecting the hotel. I hear it is because they don’t feel they make much off the hotel and they choose to cater to locals. But it’s a missed opportunity because if they rebuilt the hotel they would stay full in my opinion.
Great video! And I’m used to the tent dwellers… I’ve been in Santa Cruz for about 6 years, and we’ve got them everywhere here too. I’m actually planning to move to the Vegas area later this year. Looking forward to exploring all the surrounding areas!
I use to work at Ellis Island back in the 90's as a slot attendant. The place was somewhat of a dump back then. But the tips were good. Lots of locals would go there to gamble. Their biggest draw back then was the chicken and ribs special at the front outdoor restaurant. Metro Pizza is still there, but I didn't see the brewery next to it. One night when I was i was off work, some friends and I went there for Karaoke and Drew Carey and the staff from his tv show were there also. He sang one song and then left.
Ahí Jacobo ahí me gusta , Keep up the good work , I don’t have to see the full video , Seconds away watching , I gotta say , Your genuine and a hard worker , And always keep 1 hundred real 🙏🏼

Excellent video Jacob! We haven't stayed or even visited Ellis Island in the many years we've visited Vegas but will make a point to next time! We enjoyed seeing the basic room you showcased and even though it's small, it's clean looking with the basic essentials one needs. We were shocked that Ellis Island actually has 5 places to eat/drink in their establishment - our recent stay at Main St. Casino only has one and it was closed during the week we were there, so that sucked. Love the fact Ellis Island is not a major corporation, still family owned which is inviting to us. Question for you..... have you visited the few rooms that have a balcony? I don't think anyone has showcased a balcony room at Ellis Island before, at least whom we watch. Do you know if the balcony rooms overlook the parking area?.... thanks for your great videos!
I stayed for a weekend and I agree that this is a gem. Great value for tourists on a budget. Great value for food and drinks. Look forward staying there later this year.
Coming to Vegas in the summer, staying a block away at Paris, looks like a great place to try low-stakes craps live for the first time (never seen a craps table in a UK casino).

Great Video ! ... Great beer ! $ .... A couple of years ago I stayed at Bally's (now Horseshoe LV) and this was just a long block away. Really enjoyed the beer and canopy open space and the $5 craps. ! I'll have to consider staying here next time, looks fun, for me ! 🙂
You must not be a coffee-holic or you would have shouted out at 02:07, free coffee! This is a disappearing perk, pun intended. I stayed back when it was a Super 8 Motel, no resort fee but also no Front Yard, then. It does seem much nicer. I'd love to know how it compares to Silver Sevens, which I hope also improved since I stayed when it was Terrible's. Thanks for your fair evaluations.
My work crew and I stayed there a few times. Great place! We sat on the brick wall outside the pool innthe parking lot. Hanging out, drinking beers, and smoking stuff. We met the same homeless lady everytime. She was super cool. One morning as we were leaving our room, a beautiful young lady was walking down the hallway, and asked if we wanted to go back into the room and have some fun. We suttered something like "Uhhh ummm, sounds great, but we have to go to work." She said, "Ok, maybe some other time." She was super model beautiful. Our jaws were on the floor.😳😰😱. So, yeah there is that element too. The bbq is pretty good.👍🏼✌🏼

hands down best breakfast I've had in Vegas since the 00's ...not kidding.
I agree. the bbq restaurant is also great.
I stay there a few times when it was a Super 8 franchise. Cheap and convenient to the Strip. Free parking is a big plus.
Used to walk by this place everyday on my way to work on the strip. thanks for posting.

I hear the dealers there keep their own (KYO) tips. I love that. If you get hot playing table games, you can really make their day!
I always stop in Ellis when I'm in Vegas.. LOVE Village Pub food quality/Quantity
Last time there turned $40 into $150 playing Blackjack..

So, yeah there is that element too. The bbq is pretty good.👍🏼✌🏼
I stayed there a couple years ago, and the value for the week was amazing!!! Can't wait to get back in October!
Awesome!
Looks like your living the dream Jacob ❤
