Jordan Weekley I like your analysis for both. Sadly, most show Sibes are diluted silvers now. When I showed them decades ago they were almost all black and white or red and white with distinct markings.
Most people do not realize that when you are judging Best in Show that you are not judging dog against dog. You're judging the dog against the breed standard. You're looking for the perfect dog of that breed. You want the dog that comes closest to the perfect standards established by the breed standard as was set by the AKC.

The bulldog seems very sweet but it makes me mad that his breed standard has become so distorted. You can hear his impaired breathing over the judge’s mike. I’ve known a few English bulldogs and they all had health problems and died before they were 10.
I agree. I do wish they would take the health of the dog into account when setting these standards. It's appalling
Absolutely! You can’t even see nostrils. This is such a shame.
But then, while it is banned nearly everywhere else, in the USA they still dock tails.
It really is sad. While I support ethical breeding and preservation breeding 100%, there are some breeds that have been continued for wrong reasons. However I have seen some excellent breeders breed bulldogs where they don’t have nostrils that are slammed shut and they’re functional dogs.

@@Javien.Spruce they aren't hating on the dog, just the fact that it has been bred improperly, giving health issues. I think bulldogs are adorable but they don't deserve what breeders have done to them, that's all.

If I decided to buy a pure bred dog, it would def. be one of my top breeds on the list to buy. I would look to see if there's any in a shelter first but Pharaohs are awesome dogs!

That? That's nothing. There was a bichon that won one year who went just total zoomies fluffball when it won. I believe that dog knew it and no one can tell me otherwise.

I know all these beautiful furbabies are professionals, but you gotta love when the dogs just act "doggish" for a minute, like this little one did....shaking his fur, of course right after his handler smooth it all out lol, and giving a goooood stretch. The audience really enjoyed the "aaawww" moment, too.

The Golden Retriever is my absolute favorite dog breed. Whenever a dog show is on, I just hope and pray that the Golden Retriever is the Best In Show. It's never happened, but hopefully, one day it will.
Ikr? A Golden was my first dog, always rooting for it. They always get into the finals, but never win!
@@miniwolfsbane2407 It's a mystery, isn't it? Golden Retrievers are sweet, smart, beautiful dogs that are great with kids, and other pets, including cats. They make great family dogs. Everybody loves them. This particular Golden was very popular with the viewers of this dog show. All of the dogs have their own special charm, but there"s just something about Goldens that makes them real eye-catchers. I thought for sure that it would be the Best In Show this time. I hope one day to adopt one or two Goldens. I have cats, and the fact that Goldens get along great with cats is a real plus.

Bulldogs always snort. There's nothing wrong with that as it is just they way they are. I've had them for many years. Living span is between 10 and 12 years. Also it is one of the dogs who can not swim.

Kaylee Kat It’s sad these breeders are the ones represented. I’ve seen so many breeders, more times than not actually, breed gorgeous bulldogs that can function. Most assume all show breeders are the same when they’re really not.
Jill Webb Nah fam. It’s cruel to breed them. I’ve worked at vet clinics and have met many veterinary medicine students and I haven’t met one yet that agrees that bull dogs should continue to be bred.

Its very common with trainers and in show. Its not usually kibble or a dog treat but usually something long they can bite off, like string cheese.
Lots of handlers use hot dog so it’s not as gross as it seems. Unless they stick it in the dogs mouth and then in their own mouth like she did 😂

I couldnt believe it! Usually they just skip right over the bulldog on tv. We have an 8 year old bulldog so we are a bit biased but Thor really is THE perfect looking bulldog.

Muscular, his head isn't absurdly oversized, the underbite isn't so exaggerated his teeth stick out, he doesn't have a permanent blep going, agreed. He's just a little bruiser and I love 'im.

For a few months now I have been searching tirelessly for information on how to start investing. I even paid $400 for a course that I now regret. Keep it simple in the beginning. Buy something, like an index fund, and hold. Educate yourself in the meantime and elevate your risk tolerance over time.
If you trade without the proper preparation, you're most likely to lose your money. Identify the buy/sell ratios and identify the market leaders and most importantly. Diversify! this will help you spread the risk
Even with the right technique and assets, some investors would still make more than others, as an investor, you should’ve known that by now, nothing beats experience and that’s final, personally, I had to reach out to a market analyst for guidance which is how I was able to grow my account close to a million, withdraw my profit right before the correction and now I’m buying again

My consultant is *MARTHA ALONSO HARA* I found him on a CNBC interview where he was featured and reached out to him afterwards. He has since provided entry and exit points on the securities I focus on. You can look him up on his social media services if you care about supervision. I basically follow his trade pattern and haven’t regretted doing so.

There is no way I could judge one of these . your a winner and you of course you and and this one. I would have all of them win. But that sheep dog won my heart . That one dog you wouldnt ever have to sweep the floors .
Haha, yeah. I think I would end up clipping them at least around the eyes. Also I agree about judging... At this level they are all fine representatives of their breed. It would be very hard to judge & not just because it requires knowlege of the man-made (and often very controversial among breeders) standard for what makes an ideal of each breed.
That sheep dog was beautiful.. and so nicely cut.
Dogshow judging is “ subjective” - the judge picks the specimen that most closely adheresto the breed “ standard” for that breed, according to his interpretation of the written standard. All these dogs ave already won Best of Breed and Best in Group so there are no losers among them. The stud fees for the males and the puppy prices for the litter all took a huge jump already! They are all winners!

It makes me sad that the AKC still supports the breeding of English Bulldogs. It’s just cruel to continue breeding them for our own personal interest.
Is it true that the AKC doesn't recognize cavapoos as show dogs? I seen some beautiful cavapoos with nice teeth and fluffy coats!

@@uptownqtee40 The AKC is for the preservation of historic purebred dogs and the Westminster is to award such dogs that has all the perfect example and qualities of their breed, not just being judged by "fluffy coats and nice teeth". Because "Cavapoos" are not a purebred dog (mixture of Poodle and Cavalier) and have no breed standards and faults not only can they not be shown in AKC Breed Events but they also can not be recognized nor be registered with AKC.

What a beautiful array of dogs. Each one was magnificent, I was especially thrilled for the Pharoah hound to get in the final group. You could have shut your eyes, pointed, and anyone would have been a worthy winner. Congrats to the Thor!

Ok. I don't know much about Pharoah Hounds, but I could tell that dog was a SPECIMEN. So angular and pronounced. Wow! Also, that Golden was SO SWEET LOOKING. Props to that groomer too, man. And that husky, ACK! It's too beautiful!😭

Totally unexpected, but well deserved win. All such awesome representatives of their breed. I especially liked the O.E.S., magnificent breeding, so perfect. The Golden stole my heart, because I used to have a Golden and love them so much. Havanese was impressive, heck they all were. The bully was a beauty!
Absolutely beautiful. Daniel is the prettiest golden I’ve ever seen at this show. Should have won, but that poodle was pretty magnificent too.
I wouldn't be able to sit still in that crowd. I swear I would jump out of the stands and pet every one of them SO CUTE

This judge is so sweet and gentle with the dogs -- she touches them and quietly croons to them in a way that makes it clear, she adores dogs! I'm no dog show expert, maybe this happens all the time? I bet her own doggos are one happy pack!

Katie Hollander Many of you are forgetting that they aren’t competing against one another. The dogs compete over what’s the best standard for the breed. Thor was so much more different than the bulldogs you would normally see.
Still think Thor could have been better tbh it’s the judges opinion and I guess the judge had a thing for bulldogs I didn’t like his front end at all but that’s my opinion.

Actually, all beautiful dogs and nice to see a different variety than the usual suspects (poodles, shih tzus, etc.)--I mean a pharaoh house for goodness sake, fabulous to see a few less common breeds make it to the final round.

I love dogs. They're just so innocent and adorable. Not a big fan of cats but who doesn't love a kitten. Anyway dogs are the sweetest animals u will ever meet. I know my 11 month old Morkie is just the best, I love her.

Correct me if I'm wrong - Golden moving a little wide in front, Pharaoh Hound (?) elbowing out pretty seriously, Wheaten overangulated in rear and lifting in front, Bulldog front feet not tight/spreading toes, Havanese (?) popping up in rear. Husky was brilliant.

And you can hear the very noisy and obstructed airways of the bulldog over the judges microphone, every time the dog breath. So sad.
@@emofems I wholeheartedly agree, but unfortunately this is not a contest to choose the most natural breed that could survive on its own for more than a couple of days. Still, if I were a judge, I would on principle not pick a breed that is intentionally disabled.

Bulldogs are so deformed, they can hardly breathe, eat or run. If you had to become a dog, is this what you would choose? Give me a Golden any day. They can run, play, swim and greet you with a smile every time. Oh and they're smart, kind, well behaved and full of love. Oh and they are the best looking dog on the planet. And they have a remarkable sense of smell. Lord Tweedmouth was a genius!
