    Extra tests:
    How much does glasses spacer help with glasses - my glasses no longer touch my bumpers! The glasses spacer fits. It doesn't fit on the VR cover interface.
    Light leak through orange parts? - With the quest off, I can see the orange. In the menu it's barely noticable. It may be annoying in dark games if in a bright room.
    How comfortable with stock strap? - seems comfortable!
    Vr cover foam fitting on amvr interface? - yes it fits.
    Any more ideas let me know 👍

      I'm really surprised you haven't ordered any prescription lenses for the quest 2. I'd love to see you do reviews for it.

    • @VRCauldron
      @VRCauldron  3 года назад

      @God Is good first make sure you're looking through the sweet spots of the lenses. Hold the quest and move it around until the ghosting dissapears. Then adjust straps to keep it in position (top strap is very important to keep it at the right height). If you can't seem to get both eyes clear at the same time when moving left and right then you need to adjust the ipd setting of the lenses. If that doesn't help ask a family member to check to make sure it's not a faulty unit or something wrong with your eyes.

    After months of waiting, the VR Cover interface I ordered from Oculus finally arrived, but sadly the larger of the two pads was defective and had to go back. I did use it for about a week, and liked it because it worked well with my magnetic lens adapters, even though it's not compatible with the glasses spacer. I then ordered the AMVR interface, mainly because it's compatible with the stock glasses spacer. I have been a huge fan of VR Cover, but I really think the AMVR is a better product, at least for the Q2. The glasses spacer works and the nose opening cover blocks the light better. I think it is just as comfortable as the VR Cover.

    One thing that you missed and need to be said is that the AMVR faceplate actually works with the oculus glasses separator that comes with the Quest2 where the VRCover does not. So you can add a little more space between your glasses and the lenses with the AMVR. I have both myself and the AMVR is superior. So the negative point you gave on the video about glasses is solvable.

    I'm a VR Cover guy, but mostly due to I happened to get a VR Cover from the Oculus site thinking it was a new first party facial interface. When it came in the mail it had the VR Cover branding, and I went on their site and went a bit crazy ordering the back pad for the elite strap, a glasses spacer for the new interface (really the interface should ship with this), some covers for the rings on the controllers, and a lens protector for when I'm not using the Oculus. I'm pretty satisfied with them all, and I think I will go ahead and order the controller grips and a shorter USB C cable (used the Anker one for a while til Air Link launched). I love seeing other companies in the market though!

    Clips in a lot more securely than the VR Cover and texture of the pleather is the most comfortable that I have found.

    Why no prescription lenses on the Oculus itself ? My problem with regular glasses is that they really push into my nose to the point that it's no longer comfortable to wear longer than 15 minutes. Contact lenses are the best but I don't feel like wearing them every day as they also irritate my eyes if worn for too too long so I decided to pull the triger on VR Wave presription lenses (added benefit anti glare coating) .

    I only use the plastic rings and not the bumpers anymore for the glasses protection. They push my glasses in my face and using only the plastic rings is simular to the rings on the Q1 lenses and is enough for me. The Q2 is smaller and therefor there is less room for glasses. I put the VR Cover on the edge of the interface to create more space. Unfortunately the Q2 VR Cover doesn't come with the diffent size nose guards as the Q1 V2 version. One thing that a lot of people complain about with the VR Cover intertace that is comes off very easily. I have that issue as wel and it is annoying. How is that with the AMVR facial interface?

    • @VRCauldron
      @VRCauldron  3 года назад +1

      To be honest i find the stock, amvr and vr cover stay on about as well as each other and it all depends how well I've pushed it onto the clips. I wonder if people aren't putting it on properly in the first place or if the vr cover is a bit harder to secure. It can be quite fiddly for all of them.

    • @fazervalez
      @fazervalez 3 года назад

      @@VRCauldron I tried again and pushed really hard on the spots where the clips are. It didn't click but it seems a bit better now. I am very excited to receive it tomorrow. I also have a silicone cover. I intend to keep the silicone one on the original cover and use it only in case of heavy exercise to keep the sweat away. The AMVR cover will be my daily driver for maximum comfort. Switching between the two will be easy cuz both have their own plastic mount. I changed the venue in my custom setting for my workouts to the day time gym instead of the arena. because the lighting is so nice now, also there isn’t a crowd so I can listen to a podcast while I exercise. FOR ME theoretically the best Cover BUT!!!! the orange "ring/spacer kills the immersion. I bought it because I never read about this problem before and only heared good points of the AMVR.
    Designwise I love the orange stripe on the outside. But it kills the immersion. Even painted black it's not perfect.
    But for me the AMVR wins in all point instead of this orange stripe point.
    I also have the VR cover which I'm using permanently, just because of the orange "ring".
    The AMVR would win the battle against the VR cover if it would be at least completely black on the inside because :
    - Nose light blocker is better
    - additional side foams for narrow faces
    - better feeling pads
    - better looking pads
    - better design
    But as I said the orange kills immersion so I stick with VR cover....

    When using the stock cover during long TOTF workouts, it got so wet that I had display issues on 2! different units within a weak and had to get a replacement unit (I do tend to sweat a lot :/). I'm now on my 3rd Quest 2 and since I have been using the VR Cover silicone cover which eliminates this issue completely.
    It's not very nice to wear for a long time though, and although I do have the VR cover facial leather replacement as well, I'm afraid to wear it to destroy yet another Quest 2.
    Is the facial cover as good as the silicone one to keep sweat away from the Quest?

    • @VRCauldron

      Silicone is the absolute best. If you want the best sweat protection the cr cover one is definitely going to be better than amvr but sweat will drip down lots just like when you use silicone. The amvr should be fine too and should keep the sweat away from the quest unlike with sponge.
