One of the best things about playing Rosalina&Luma is the fact that people sometimes forget one of them exist, and then you can get that sweet, sweet Uno reverse card on their edgeguarding.
You should have mentioned late hit nair > luma down air, kills early at the edge, one of her most reliable kill confirms at a smaller percentage range but higher kill power. Either way, nice video!
After getting smoked at a tourney yesterday, I considered dropping this character. But your videos make me want to practice her even more. Thank you for the time and effort you put in.
Trust me, if you take the time like I did, I smoke people! Just keep that good tenacity, and STAY STRONG! No seriously though, she's kind of OP when you use her just right. It's just when you come across players who use characters like King K. Rool, or Ness, or Ganondorf, etc. But power doesn't matter if they can't hit you! For me Rosalina is so nice to use because Luma usually breaks opponent's combos!
Cosmology Master : Rosa mains are nearly extinct. We must preserve every few Rosa mains we can find. Also, I love I can break guaranteed combos with Luma. My friend tried Fox’s Nair into upsmash but Luma... 😏
Yay, you made another video! If you find yourself running out of ideas... perhaps you could do a video on silly luma kills. You know, like when you get launched but as luma follows you, you get a kill because luma attacked. Anyways, I'm working with your techniques, and they are SUPER helpful. But just so you know, at low percentage You can usually guarantee this: grab, 1 hit, up throw, up smash it's not guaranteed, but opponents usually never expect this or catch onto it. The heavier the character, the more you can punish with this attack!! It's so nice to watch your videos... I play against friends with Rosalina and sometimes, they like to play characters with ridiculous recoveries(like ROB) and use their recovery last minute so it's hard to hit them offstage. But when Iearned one of your techniques(in one of your past videos), what I do is use luma shot, quickly do rapid jab, and luma slowly descends downwards, hitting them and killing at stupid early percents! I just need to work on combo-ing opponents who like to jump all the time. Thanks for doing what you do!
that's a cool video idea, maybe if I get more gameplay footage I could make a highlight video of that (finding enough free time to play with people is the hard part for me), however I do have some more ideas lined up for now! I'm glad to hear that my videos are helpful! That kind of feedback is what keeps me goin :) And if your opponents jump out of combos often you could either jump with them and cut them off with an up air (as they probably fall faster than you), or you could stay on the ground and catch their landing, just my 2 cents!
Down Tilt toward untethered Luma around %50 or so can combo into a smash attack! If they miss a tech, can kill on ledge sometimes. Sorry if you've covered this already 😅
Web-Wrecker you’re good! That’s still really useful to know so thanks for sharing, I was only including kill confirms that were guaranteed in this video
Thanks for sharing! At very low percents, I like to do foward throw into up smash, I noticed it seems to be consistent on most of the cast, It can also catch their DI or jump as well.
This video could really help me because I sometimes struggle to kill. Also I have a combo that I use because it can kill at 60. If you lunar back air to jablock to fsmash, you can get an early kill because of how strong lumas fsmash is. You can tech, but the angle is so low that it's rather difficult.
Really helpful video as I'm trying to get better with Rosa, I feel like I slowly understand how neutral and advantage/disadvantage works but my combo and kill game is very lacking sometimes, ty for the video willl practice these things!
Thx, your the first one to make a kill confirm video for rosa. I've learned one kill confirm and I was thinking she didnt have any till shadoroth taught me one of them Thx, will start grinding tomorrow morning. P.s I've learned the wave dash one before this video
as useful as ever i always was on the ify side of what was true with rosalina and very creative with finishing opponents with the double fair to neutral b
@@Nick_Leo i did it for the first time and I'm so happy! Although my dac nair usually comes out as a dac up air, probably because I'm just getting used to it
1 Question. You were talking about a situation where Rosa land near the opponents shield and you can potentially Up Tilt. Would this Up tilt be safe on shield if you were to cancel it and drift away with Nair? I’m just curious.
Whisp against most characters, yes it is safe. But if you’re really close by and they have a quick disjointed aerial (such as Lucina’s fair) then it’s only safe if you’re spaced decently well
I use the GameCube controller but the pro controller / joycons are just as good Tilt Attack to C-Stick - Makes it much easier to use attack cancels as well as tilts after dashing -L to Jump - Because the C-stick is typically used for tilts and dash attacks, you can't easily cancel your attacks with a jump in 2-frames unless you use a bumper (L or R) -D-Pad Up to Jump - This is specifically set to make it easier to execute the Rising Luma Shot ledgetrap as it's a little more difficult to short hop while buffering Luma shot with the default jump buttons
You have to be pretty close for it to connect. It actually works better against shields for that reason, but DAC wavedash is much more consistent, I’ll have a full guide on that really soon!
Yes it’s a thing You need to input jump within only 2 frames after dash attack (1/30th of a second!) so you’re almost inputting the dash attack and jump at the same time It may help to practice in the training room at slower speeds like 1/2 to get a feel for how fast it needs to be
@@Nick_Leo thanks man I really appreciate you taking the time to reply Also, can the jump be subbed for a button input instead of an analog input? I feel that would really help with performing the neutral air much easier after for me
@@codorphan5530 well you should still be able to set jump to a button like L or ZL and can use the right stick for dash attacks It should be pretty much the same imo
Omar Abdelsamei depending on what control scheme you use, you just need to be able to input a dash attack, and a jump at nearly the same time (2 frame window). If it’s inconvenient for you to slide your finger, it could be useful to map jump to a shoulder button or something similar!
GAMER10 GAMING personally, I set my c stick to tilt and L to jump so I can input a dash attack or tilt with the c stick and jump at almost the exact same time with L (2 frame window)
@@Nick_Leo I see, would replacing one taunt by an attack button worth it for joycons? I am thinking about right taunt, so I can use my other finger to do the other input at the same time. Don't get me wrong, I have a GameCube controller but I am more used to Joycons
GAMER10 GAMING that could work, definitely do whatever is most comfy for you. Whenever I play with joycons mounted as a controller, I just set the right stick to tilt and it feels really similar to GameCube

I don’t know if you have covered this but jab-Utilt as Luma is true with both jab 1 and 2, this can be super useful imo
So I can’t combo luma into Rosalina’s n’air. It almost always misses, even on tall characters like dedede and charizard.

What controller do you use and what button scheme is mapped to it?
I use the GameCube controller but the pro controller / joycons are just as good
Tilt Attack to C-Stick - Makes it much easier to use attack cancels as well as tilts after dashing

Jorge De León to Dac Nair, I use the C-stick to dash attack, and L to jump!
