Such a fun weekend. Love seeing your summary of the weekend 😊
thanks so much!
Thanks so much. I went to Joann's today and bought two of the totes. They were 50% off, so I bought two for the regular price of one. Thank you so much for sharing.
So cool! How great to just whip those out!
it's really fun ... I'm still relatively slow, but two pairs of socks in a weekend is very exciting! I have so much sock yarn in my stash.
Could you please share the size of tote you bought from Joanns please. I have a purple and white dean and bean. I have only learned how to just knit a tube. Newbie here.
Sure! It's called the Top Notch 20L Plastic Durable Storage Box with Lid - hope that helps!
I love the USB light that you're using! Does it have a brand? I don't have a D&B machine but would love one of those lights for knitting while traveling. Thanks!
I got it from the Dean and Bean website, but I think it only comes with the yarn mast (which you wouldn't need.) But check here! www.deanandbean.com/s/search?q=light
Trapper Keeper 80s power! 😊
the best of times!
This has made me want a csm! Is it pretty easy to learn?
there’s a learning curve for sure, but dean and bean have lots of amazing youtube videos. go watch those and see what you think!
Oh my! I have so many thoughts - the Trapper Keeper. You’re a baby. My kids had those. But the organizational value is not lost on me. I’ve had such a hate relationship with socks. I’ve only been knitting four years and I’ve knit two pairs and two singles of socks. I can get all the technical parts ok. Where I fall apart is on the leg and foot. I get bored and my tension gets loose and they look awful. I love the idea of a sock machine but can’t rationalize $3500. I’m getting very close to pulling the plug on this machine.
Hi! I will forever love Trapper Keepers - I wish my kids thought they were cool! And yes, $3500 is too much for my budget too... the Dean and Bean is so much more affordable and does the same thing! There's a learning curve, but it's pretty slick once you get going.
Is the machine worth it's money? :)
I think it is, and this is definitely on the more affordable side of machines. (And so portable.) It just takes time to learn how things work … then you’re all set. Sock heaven!
@@JenGeigleyKnits thank you! I guess I'll just wait for a reply to my email from D&B and then try to order one to Germany ☺️
