Outside of that intimidating aura and her raw power, she is pretty much a sweet maternal lady looking out for you and everyone else. Even if you're her superior, or an adult, she'll still see you as a child regardless. And I like that she sees herself as an orchestra conductor, and treats everything like it's the next composed piece. I personally like Azuma's friendly and gentle personality more, but I can't deny that Friedrich der Große is also a great mother figure, even though she is kinda scary.

17:27 is actually accurate w.r.t to Tirpitz's skill as she can't receive the 30% boost from Lone Queen of the North if there are any other BC,BB ships etc so when you sortie FDG and Tirpitz together, especially with FDG as flagship, and you don't have Bismarck sortieing with her (gives 40% boost to Tirpitz if sortied together, in exchange of that 30% loss from Tirpitz) Tirpitz is essentially losing out on 30% extra damage boost.
Just pointing it out for the people who might not know (though I think everyone would, because when farming FDG people regularly use Tirpitz, Bismarck, Graf, Gneisnau and Scharnhorst, Zeppy... basically all the Main Fleet Iron Blood ships, we need more Main Fleet ships in the Permanent pool btw, so everyone would have an idea of how to use Tirpitz).

Trust me, all the blood, sweat and tears shed to get her are easily worth it. Not only is she a top tier mom she's also by far the strongest bb in the game. The 8 months I spent on getting her was easily worth it.
