Just one step further for kuro to write something that will completely break us down like seriously this companion quest made me break down in tears the way they did this having this girl go through a similar thing encore is going through it was just so good like the 5th child from kuro to make me cry and I have a feeling it will keep on going

When that line hit, making me realize WHY her name is Encore, I TOOK REAL LIFE EMOTIONAL DAMAGE
This quest just goes to show, you don't always need deep and thought provoking concepts to make a story good. Sometimes just a simple emotional story with good presentation is enough to leave a solid impression on someone. Kuro has proved this time and time again with their quests, they don't have the most deep lore or the best written characters but their presentation and story telling is one of the best in the genre.
Exactly. It seems like the less they focus on Rover, glazing Rover and trying to badly explain the world, the better their writing is, which isn't to say they shouldn't improve on the other aspects.
Deep story and lore is garbage when the presentation is mediocre. so yeah i agree.

@@plainsalt Sorry, but I could not agree with saying that their writing is worse because of focusing on the Rover. I can agree with orion that the story is simple and with good enough presentation even if the lore and writing is mediocre would still be good because Kuro's story telling is the best. I think it's the general feedback that made Encore's story very solid because of it's storytelling, music, ambiance and visual aspects. Though I agree with you and everyone else that the other aspects should be improve in terms of story writing.
I always wondered what it feels like to have a loving mother. WuWa gave me a little bit of that experience.

A small detail i noticed with the cutscene when encore sees her mom you can see her mouth Moving in the motion as if she's saying "Mom" my lord this quest had me in so much tears. (1:26:29 heres the time stamp btw)
She opened her mouth twice so it might be "mama"

Considering it's a pre-rendered cutscene and the game is originally from China, it's definitely rather "mama", or specifically "妈妈"

It makes sense, because seconds before that, they showed Ying embracing her mother. It’d be repetitive to show Encore doing the same thing.
They didn’t want to dry our tears yet, they cooking more sad stories. Prepare a tissue at every Wuwa companion story quest. 🤣😭

Just realized when she says Little Warrior its Ying and when she says Wooly Warrior she means herself and I'm dying inside now. The story hit me with that true feels damage

This story is perfect example of the most important quality to deliver a perfect story with amazing emotion rollercoaster. Expression, environment, music, camera angel and voice acting is an important. Playable characters and NPC both got personal emotion, face expression and amazing voice acting. W KuroGames with their masterpiece.

i ve just finished this story. i know i am late. but oh boy.. i am grown ass man crying because it reminds me of my father situation... i am not meet with him in his last moment.. i was busy in school and suddenly my neighbour come pick me up in school and tol me to go home because my dad is in hospital.. turns out he drove me home. before reaching the street near my home there is yellow flag (in indonesia its indicates that this flag tells you there is someone has passed away).. and yep... all of neighbours already swarm near my house.. all the cryings and make up face to tell you its okay.. suddenly pop up everywhere.. and I HATE THAT at that time. But this game showed me.. i just have to make wish sometime in the future when i can meet him again in afterlife, i can share my story.

I have played Kuro Games for a long time and I will say this.
They are at their best at story that makes you care about the character. So for sure their character story will always be the best part even beyond main story.
this was the best story they had so far I like it better than Goalkeeper's wuvy duvy quest wish we saw Encore's mom though at the end. Hope they keep this up in the future this actually motivated me to build Encore. Love your reaction to the story too lol

Encore was my first 5 star and the first character I obtained aside from Yang Yang and Chixia.
I already like her in the main story. Now after the story quest, she became one of my most favourite characters in the game.

I genuinely never understood those that cry during Shorekeeper’s main quest. This one however, has all the right materials to make you cry.
For Shorekeepers, it’s like reuniting with your love after a long time of separation, that’s probably why.

@@erluq9309 yeah, but I think rover wasn’t aware of her presence and she was probably supporting from the sides so there was no need for her to show herself until 1.3. 🤷♂️

Honestly, I not played a single Gatcha game that comes close to Wuwa in terms of gameplay, story, animations and design.

IIRC, there should be or might be (on the way) an in-game music player option that you can listen to the music you enjoy. I haven't fully messed around with the interface myself, but find that a lot of the music is great. I digress, however, I skipped all of the Encore story bits (as I do with EVERY quest, even asking Kuro for cutscene skipping) because I just want to get on with the game and killing before daily resets. Heartless horse is heartless, I know...
