Hello, Lex. Good to see you finally having a good run. What was your bankroll when you switched from 1/2 to 2/5 game? How much time did it take you to crawl from 1/2? Thanks ahead.
Why don't you come up to Tampa Hard Rock for the WPT tournaments and the Brad Owen meet up games? He'll be there from August 29 to Sept. 5th and the meet up game is on Sept. 1st. I still want my revenge for you stacking my brother in Texas! ;-)
Keep an eye on your opponents. There was some hella sus play in that hustler live stream you were in. Example: that bomb pot hand where that girl jammed w the nuts on flop.
Lex, I really have a new view of your character with making this decision and truly being honest with yourself about the $25/$50/$100 game. When the day comes your playing in that i game, is the same day you sit at my table and it’s the nut low… instantly picking up my chips and changing tables lol. All jokes aside, you being honest with yourself is the most real thing a person can do in life and you are officially a young O G in my book!
Awesome that you were able to recognize, even after committing to that session, that you weren’t ready to sit and risk playing in a game that very possibly was too high of stakes at this time in your poker journey! Big UPS to you 💪🏾
Lex, I feel you made the correct decision to skip the Hustler game. I've learnt in the past that purposely restricting my buy-ins and reloads greatly affects my game and forces me to play tight and nitty resulting in small wins not worth my time. Hope you took my take a vacation advice and also hope you get back to Dallas soon. PokerFaceAsh is moving here.
Respect for backing down for the time being in order to come back when you’re truly ready. The current trend of RUclipsrs playing bigger and bigger games, to the point where it is impossible that they are actually properly rolled for them, makes it even harder for you to be patient. But if anything, as we have seen from some other players’ downswings, biding your time is the fastest path to success in the long term. I look forward to seeing you crush high stakes- but preferably not before 2023 😉
Good for you Lex. Difficult to be honest with yourself with things like this and not just take a stab and risk it backfiring. Smart decision and we’ll see you on there soon no doubt 👊🏽
I didn't end up having the chance to buy action for the game, but I respect your decision to back out of it. Also taking the time to go back and watch those streams and realize the stack sizes are way deeper than you would've thought. Just the fact of you thinking about the people who bought action and or support you with donations and not wanting to just fire away with their money when you knew you wouldn't be comfortable. That speaks volumes about your character! GGs on the felts and I wish you continued success!
Great decision on skipping out on the Hustler game. More experience, more confidence, and a bigger bankroll are all essential to being successful at these much larger stakes. Love watching your 5-10 and 10-20 games. Also loved the kidding on the first hand. I truly thought you had lost another big pot to the straight instead of winning against 2 pair. Looking forward to your continuing success
Smart move backing out of that $25-50-100 game. In order to play effectively, you better be able to take a 50k hit. Play within your means and bankroll control are 1 in competitive poker.
I'm glad that you decided not to play on that stream. When you announced it I had commented that I thought the game was to big for you at that time. Again, I'm not saying you can't play, just that I didn't think you were properly rolled for that game. Ultimately it was your decision and I think you made the right one this time. Love all your vlogs, looking forward to you getting there at some point. GL!!
Opening up 22 UTG, even 7 handed, seems a bit thin imho. Also checking the turn seems disasterous. Sure someone could bet and fall into your trap, but more often than not one of your opponents picked up equity with that turn card and will typically check to realize it. On the 1010 hand, your flop bet actually seems great. I don't see gutter balls or over cards coming along if you chose a big sizing here, and your sizing also allows people to spazz out. I disagree that the raiser is always committed here once he raises. He could easily be doing this with air because the board favors the PFC rather than the PFR here and you look weak because of the sizing. Call flop, check call turn, donk river (assuming clean runout). Just one man's humble opinion. Keep up the great vlogs!
You definitely did the right thing Lex. I really enjoy your videos and it is good to see you realized you just weren’t quite ready for this game. You will definitely get there. Keep doing your thing and don’t worry about what anyone else thinks of your decisions. I always look forward to seeing your videos.
\o/It isn't a matter of your skill, you are good enough to play in it. The problem is bankroll. I almost never sit down without 3 or 4 buy-ins with me, and I'm always willing to add on rebuy, or match the stack. Short stacked in the Hustler games usually means you can lose you whole stack in one hand, they like to play big pots, like in Texas. Keep playing where you are comfortable and take a shot from time to time at a bigger game as you build your bankroll. Love your vids, keep up the grind.
Maple syrup, spaghetti sauce and macaroni and cheese. That is exactly what I had on my counter when I was single. Touché Lex. The bachelor diet of champions😎😎
Hi Lex another great video. I met you in Tampa on Saturday. Just wanted to thank you for your videos and that you actually teach us in your commentary. Keep up the great work!!! Wish you all the best!!! Scott
No worries. When you made the original announcement, I thought the game was too big for your buy in. Good decision to back out. Just need to keep grinding. That hustler game will always be there.
Don't sweat it your a vlogger now with poker being the never-ending content source so you can play anywhere it doesn't matter. And besides backing out on commitments has been getting popular lately in the poker world, in fact Hustler Casino itself just cancelled a 'guaranteed' payout poker tournament AFTER chips were bagged once they realized there weren't enough entries to meet the guaranteed prize amount so I'm sure they totally understand. Nice sesh!
perry from seminole....smart desicion...good thought process devoid of ego....transparent towards your reason goes long way w fans....you will get there and will be reasy when you do!!!!
A great thought process in your decision not to play a bigger cash game than you feel comfortable with at this point. You are right that it is a marathon, not a sprint. This decision itself makes me think that you are a good poker player who should know by definition when to hold and when to fold !
Good call on backing out. Not only is that bankroll management but image management. Playing short you'd have to be so tight it just wouldn't be good for a live stream.
Very professional Lex'O, no rush. Plus that HCL game gets way outta hand sometimes. Last night's game was ridiculous. Keep doing what you're doing man, I'll be tuning in regardless!
Props for being smart about your game skill and bankroll. There’s no reason to take a shot that big while being uncomfortable. Keep up with the content and I’m positive you will be playing in way bigger games than 25/50/100. 👍🏻
Smart move! I'm sure you and all of us know how it is to sit down at a table where we aren't comfortable sitting at. Best to take a shot at a different game
Talking about bankroll management is so important. Good for you doing you homework and recognizing that the game didn’t fit your bankroll. You don’t see that kind of thing enough on RUclips
I believe you'll be up for that 25/50/100 game soon enough. Getting on a roll at 5/10 or so and putting that downswing back you will do ya righteous!! Good video today man
Lexo I have seen all your vlogs, i also watch all the hcl streams, you are ready for this game! You would mop them up! you just need the money but no question you have the ability.
Great job on pulling out of that game. A few coolers and a big hit to the bankroll potentially is just not worth the risk. I watch HCL everyday of the week since it started last year and I’ve seen some really good players go home devastated at this place when they are felted. I’m glad you’re not going but would have loved to see you play there bc I’m a fan of yours. Best of luck!
Good for you Lex on being the bigger smart pro poker player intelligence level 10/10 man to take yourself off the list and than talk about it an lhe reasons why on your channel absolutely top notch bro
Things other people don’t recognize is Rampage is jumping into these bigger games because he blinked tournaments. Mariano is playing in these bigger games because he likely has the RUclips revenue, and same with Brad Owen. Without those guys having won a big tournament or having a large following on RUclips, they’d never have the money for those games
Hi Lex, When you reraise all in on bord J-10-4 rainbow. You are representing over per ,regardless the pre flop action. You make opportunitie to your opponent to fold hands like AJ, or draw like king queen. But if you calling that bet and check jam the turn you minimize the SPR of your opponent. I think you have to just call the bet. Good luck man!
Kudos sir, to realise it was to big…. How many people would punt snd do a chunk of their roll… that decision shows you are a big man…. Hope to see you crushing the high stakes when you feel ready
So the flop 10s I feel like you gotta just call back his raise to disguise your hand…blocker bet on the turn to induce his push. When you raise him you’re saying you have queens or better. Also a call back with 10s helps balance your range. You could be calling back AK, AQ, AJ, A10 there on the flop.
To quote the great Clint Eastwood‘s character dirty Harry… “A man has got to know his limitations “. Great call in case realizing that you would be in a bit over your head due to stack size not talent level in my opinion. Looking forward to see the future of vlog where you are playing the 25 50 100 200
I don’t blame you for passing on HCl. If you have the bankroll and unlimited time to play with that lineup, it is an awesome game. For someone like you who will only play with them for one night and with a much more limited bank roll than they have, you are basically “taking a shot “and variance can kick you in the ass for one evening. I wish I had the money to play with those guys!
You made a very good game-selection decision and a very good decision not to accept -EV staking from your fans/backers. Well done. I'm not taking back my recent criticisms of you going in the wrong direction on those exact things recently, but I'm glad to see that you've put the brakes on it before the almost certain doom you were headed for. Your new attitude expressed here, IMHO, is both correct and well-timed, though I would have preferred to see you turn the corner on it sooner. Again, well done.
Avoiding games that you are not properly rolled for is a smart winning decision. The 25/50 HCL game is massive and full of millionaires. Nobody can rightfully judge you for making smart financial decisions.
Lex, glad you thought about that live stream decision.. We have seen enough of Phil buying in for 10K with others buying in for 100k. We say Eric took all Phil's milk money...
Well done on making a good decision. No shame in recognizing your bankroll limit as well as realizing that if you did play you wouldn't be at your optimal mental state. Not everyone is that disciplined. Good job bud!
Almost every Hustler's streamed game is super soft (except games that includes Garrett and Andy). You may try to grind these games backed or by yourself. As you are a vlogger you will find your way to super soft games, much easier than a regular grinder ;)
All my experiences with Hustler Casino and Hustler Casino Live show have always been positive and I can’t wait to play there again in the future !

Humble dude that keeps it real! Keep crushing life Lex!
Helll ya! Opened my phone after work and find this. Time for a beer a shot and a sunrun
Good for you Lex. Difficult to be honest with yourself with things like this and not just take a stab and risk it backfiring. Smart decision and we’ll see you on there soon no doubt 👊🏽

Ur way more honest than another vlogger who claims he's not being backed. He used to play 2-5 and now plays 50-100 and claims he's not backed lol

Your train of thought is spot on. Unlike many people who play poker for a living, you are going to make it. Congratulations

Hi Lex another great video. I met you in Tampa on Saturday. Just wanted to thank you for your videos and that you actually teach us in your commentary. Keep up the great work!!! Wish you all the best!!! Scott
Respectful and honest answer, love watching your channel. Keep improving and working on reaching those higher tables.
No worries. When you made the original announcement, I thought the game was too big for your buy in. Good decision to back out. Just need to keep grinding. That hustler game will always be there.
Your honesty is refreshing 👍
Good on ya sir for being honest with yourself. You'll get there!

The other dudes are entertaining, but this is my favorite. We support you mang. Keep grinding.
Lex that’s great self awareness on your part and you’ll definitely get there bud!
Sensibly decision. Fair play to you for being honest about the situation 👏
I respect your decision, it’s a responsible one. Good work!
Good call on backing out. Not only is that bankroll management but image management. Playing short you'd have to be so tight it just wouldn't be good for a live stream.
Pumping out the videos Lex!! Love to see it
Very professional Lex'O, no rush. Plus that HCL game gets way outta hand sometimes. Last night's game was ridiculous. Keep doing what you're doing man, I'll be tuning in regardless!

I appreciate your transparency.
Awesome decision!!! Great talk-thru for people to help manage "THEMSELVES" & bankroll!
Wise to stay true to yourself bro. No-one watching wants to see you play a game you aren't comfortable in.
Solid play in this vlog 👍
Smart move! I'm sure you and all of us know how it is to sit down at a table where we aren't comfortable sitting at. Best to take a shot at a different game

Smart man. Keep stacking and griding. Those guys play power poker
you're the fucking man. The reason you gave for bailing on Hustler Live is absolutely fire. That right there deserves a standing ovation!!
I believe you'll be up for that 25/50/100 game soon enough. Getting on a roll at 5/10 or so and putting that downswing back you will do ya righteous!! Good video today man

Glad for your win. I fully understand your logic for backing out of that live stream no good if your not comfortable
We appreciate you Lex 💪💪
Smart man. Bankroll management is the greatest skill of a professional poker player.
Good for you Lex on being the bigger smart pro poker player intelligence level 10/10 man to take yourself off the list and than talk about it an lhe reasons why on your channel absolutely top notch bro
Go with your Gut!!!! You know what’s Best for U!!!
100% correct move, that game is crazy 😜 high cash. Right call for now
Things other people don’t recognize is Rampage is jumping into these bigger games because he blinked tournaments. Mariano is playing in these bigger games because he likely has the RUclips revenue, and same with Brad Owen.
Without those guys having won a big tournament or having a large following on RUclips, they’d never have the money for those games
Rampage and Mariano make a huge amount from their GG club poker rooms

Respect buddy. Very humble. Crush it on the next 1.
Respect to you buddy , your 100% in control of your game

Congratulations on your win! Thank you for your honesty. Pura Vida from Costa Rica!

True dat... Good decision tp hold off the Hustler game. Those games get way outta hand.
Great decisions! Thanks for a great channel.
Solid ego-less decision. Good call.
Great decision Lex. 👏
Broo I literally started to SMH when you said he had a straight 🤣🤣🤣 good one
Thanks Lex!

Good call Lex, know your limits.
Good to see that you know your limits!
(Stack) Size matters. 25/50/100/200 is insane.
Know your limits and bankroll that is what I say you will get there soon no need to rush and great videos 👌
You made a very good game-selection decision and a very good decision not to accept -EV staking from your fans/backers. Well done. I love how you played the pocket deuces.
Avoiding games that you are not properly rolled for is a smart winning decision. The 25/50 HCL game is massive and full of millionaires. Nobody can rightfully judge you for making smart financial decisions.
Lex O Let's Go!
One of the smartest things u can do is use it head and there's a big reason why Garret buys in for more then the rest of the table
Lex, glad you thought about that live stream decision.. We have seen enough of Phil buying in for 10K with others buying in for 100k. We say Eric took all Phil's milk money...
Love your videos. Always watch to the end. Your stakes are higher than mine but I look for ways to apply your knowledge. Thanks
Would love to have your commentary one vlog to be mostly GTO. Like comment pot odds and positions and things of that nature. Might be intersting.
Respect your decision
Very mature move! much respect!
Love the videos keep up the great content!!!
Good decision Lex
Well done on making a good decision. No shame in recognizing your bankroll limit as well as realizing that if you did play you wouldn't be at your optimal mental state. Not everyone is that disciplined. Good job bud!
Exactly why Texas live stream players don’t want to go to hustler.
great video as usual lex =D
So smart!! Respect
Just keep up the good work bro and u will grow more and more
Hahaha you got me with that first hand
Also if you like to drink, go to the Pla bar and ask for Jen. She is a great bartender. Tell her Matt and Stephanie sent you.
I'm over in Australia love your content hope to meet you one day
Got to be honest with yourself, well done for recognising it would not be good and having the courage to back out.
Letting go of your ego is an important asset, no need to fire at a big game that you would not be comfortable in playing.
Almost every Hustler's streamed game is super soft (except games that includes Garrett and Andy). You may try to grind these games backed or by yourself. As you are a vlogger you will find your way to super soft games, much easier than a regular grinder ;)
Great job 👏 👍
Hey lex, you coming to Tampa for the WPT action games? Bring your golf clubs if you are!!
