You guys are doing God's work. So many young men including myself grew up without a father. The struggle to find the purpose of men is very real but so too often misled by this corrupt society. Thank God, I reunited with my father after 15 years last year! Keep up the good work!
I recently came back to the church, through the grace of God. I started getting up early and saying my prayers before the house woke up. What a difference it makes! I feel at peace, grounded and ready for the day. I'm able to give more to my family first thing in the day, which starts their day off properly.
Hi Erick, Thanks. We have been having some trouble with feeds, but let me know if this does not work for you. open.spotify.com/show/6DTjk2flcUz1YviyWESYmn?si=dZHryT0yRhWJ0v-XQHojew I pray that you are blessed.
Been reading your blog for years...my daughter and I just received the sacraments of baptisms and confirmation last night at the Easter vigil . God bless you brother.
You are right on. And I know that you would be the first to say that, in the right context, a man may certainly wear raggedy clothes to work if he is a farmer or mechanic. However, you didn’t specifically state that and I believe that stating it is important, because it may appear to some that you’re speaking of higher class men only, ignoring those of more humble means. I’m sure you don’t actually mean that.
Love the channel. One thing about clothing. I can't stand hot weather and we live in Florida. I wear t-shirts, shorts and flip-flops all the time (except Mass and work). I do wear the appropriate clothing when it comes to the events but t-shirts in Florida is a must.
Good point! Thanks for the comment. Certainly more of general guidelines to reflect on before stepping outside. We both wear t-shirts and flip-flops too. God bless, Roger. - John
I'm a beach guy also, so I do get it. However, I am going to challenge your fashion sense. I never cared about designer names, but fabric was all important. A nice short sleeve madras, 100% cotton seersucker or linen shirt is breathable, comfortable, stylish, inexpensive and has a collar for a slightly dressier look. Espadrilles were fashioned by sailors out of scrap rope & sail cloth 100+ years ago. Instead of flip flops, give them a try. They come in all colors now & are very cheap, and comfy. I guarantee you this. You can wear your most comfy, well worn, ratty surf trunks. If you throw on a white or light, bright colored linen (plain collared, LOOSE FITTING, button front) shirt & white or navy, black espadrilles, you will turn every woman's head on the beach, or anywhere for that matter. The key is confidence. You emote a care less attitude towards fashion, you're a trend setter & it is something you just threw on. In reality, you've planned every detail, down to the color of your shoes. If it worked for this guy, 30 years ago in San Diego, I'm sure you'll enjoy success. Since I'm 60 yrs old, I can share some of my secrets since I'm rarely in the game these days. HAH !!! Have fun brother, good luck.
I’ve always thought that modern man is being short changed. There are so many dimensions to a man and his character. And yet most men that I know live in one or two dimensions.
What about the saints that were martyrd the saints that gave away all their possessions so that they can perfect in gods eyes. Were they interested in being a gentlemen? That’s what I question. I feel pride in striving to be this at an efficient level.
I think your idea of helping random women in need needs to be thought a bit more in the light of current environment. You can be sued or falsely accused if you help out the wrong woman. And they will totally trust her word against you due to current dominant ideology. I do fear that outcome and had experienced some of it.
Ya gotta be prudent...most feminine ladies that wear dresses at a fssp or byzantine Catholic church or in a more conservative area, I'm sure the women there would love being taken care of by a man..... now a random coffee shop in a commie/dem part of town.... where the women dress like masculine career chicks or poisonous colorful lizards.... I doubt it.

THANKS GOD I DISCOVERED THIS CHANNEL, GOD BLESS.
This channel is like the spiritual version of the "Art of Manliness"
Hard not to gossip. But with the Lord's hand in my head it becomes easier. Thank you for this conversation, it's very helpfull for me.
I’m 62, gotta look like it. Back to looking tailored, better groomed, and just squared away. 💪
“Catholic” AND “Gentlemen”
Surely this is too good to be true
Edit: that sounded worse than intended. I meant that’s what I was looking for.
Catholicism, pipes and menswear are my 3 favorite things. Thank you so much for making this kind of content!!!
How about a good cold beer too? 😉
Great stuff gents 👍🏼👍🏼
A Gentleman is a man who does not get angry, except on purpose.

And so we should think a bit more about bending to the "dominant ideology"? Why capitulate?
