- This is the condensed game highlights of the Astros VS Mariners game.
What's in the highlights is the first pitch and out's for both teams. Plays that are included in the highlights are players getting on base, advancing on the base paths whether it's a hit or an error, great defensive plays, and the final out of an inning.

Guys....holy shit! What a way to start the playoffs! I didnt get to go to Game 1 and see the walk-off, but I got to be there tonight and what a game. Lots of intense nervousness but the thrill of Tuck and Yordan's HR then BREGMAN! BREGGIE with the clutch 8th inning insurance run! Amazing. I love every minute of watching this team.
We were there! I know Altuve hasn't hit, but the defensive plays that he made were amazing!
That shady commentator said that the Mariners got a couple of borderline calls that didn’t go their way, but what he didn’t say is that the Astros had even more borderline calls that didn’t go their way, but I didn’t see him cry about it for the Astros! The Mariners lived off of walks and refused to swing at anything that wasn’t 100% clear-cut strikes, but expected the umpire to call everything that was 50/50 their way all the time! That can’t be fair to the Astros who had more borderline calls that didn’t go their way.
The fact of the matter is that the Mariners expected the umpire to call the game in their favor so that they could win and that’s why they refused to swing at anything that was less than pefect pitches, but this requires a favorable umpire that is sympathetic to their cause, which is illegal according to the rules of the game! Anyway, this explains why the Mariners got so many more walks than the Astros.
The Mariners expected to get lots of walks in order to get on base, the Astros got on base by hitting the damn ball! If you refused to swing at good, hittable pitches that come your way don’t cry if the umpire calls a strike on you! Overall, I think this umpire did a fantastic job of officiating the game! He was fair to both teams! That is all you can ever ask for from an umpire!

This reminded the Game 6 of World Series in 2011. The Rangers decided IBB Pujols, and Berkman delivered….

As usual, I qualify this by saying I normally shit on Dusty for a lot......but the man has managed 2 perfect games so far. I have agreed with every move he's made or at the least saw why he did it, even if I felt it should've been different. Well done, Dusty.

@@ceaseboss7515 uh huh....."people" would be on his ass. I would not. A number of times this year I've called out some of yall for complaining about Dusty for no reason because I can actually tell the difference between a good move and a bad one.
Liked what Bregman did at the end of the game...just slapped the 101 MPH pitch the other way, and got the run home...wish Tuck would have taken the same approach.
The defense was great today, and the pitching was good with the exception of the free passes.

THE Astros don't get too up, never have seen them get too down, they just play like they are always in control. I loved seeing Yourdan's parents make it to the game to see another big moment.

While I am happy that our Astros are up 2 - 0... and at the risk of being a "debbie downer", I hope the Astros realize (given game #1) that the Mariners "came to play" and are doing everything in their power to dethrone the reigning American League Champions. So, the Astros (pitchers and bullpen) better be ready for the hostile environment that they are going to be faced with tomorrow... thus giving the Mariners batters a vocal advantage.
