    Great pick, love that light box for showing your pieces … I don’t mind music on vids but I prefer if you aren’t talking to hear the natural sounds around you…BUUUUT I do like the subtitles RUclips puts up when it translates your accent 😂

    Wonder if the ridged glass could be poison bottles, the piece of lavender is stunning 😁😘

      I thought that but then the ridges are really far apart and big - not like any poison bottle I’ve ever seen! I’m still stumped haha yes the lavender is my favourite of the day!

    Another great haul 💖 I loved that gorgeous piece of pottery you found, the vulcanite stopper and the piece of lavender glass👌
    I'm guessing you met the lady who owns Searose Jewellery? I follow her on Facebook. She makes the most beautiful things from the treasures she finds on that beach 🥰

    I like the little ambers especially when they glow. I like the aqua's too. The marmalade piece to me was awesome and so is the chunky teal & lavender ones. The calcified piece was beautiful. There was a blue triangle shaped piece of glass at 42:52 in the upper left corner.

    I would say the pieces with the H on it are from those old batteries with the thick glass case on the outside. And the lavender piece is really old and has manganese in it.

      I just had a Google and it doesn’t seem to match the ridges. I’m going to check with the local bottle digger boys because it might be a big flagon or something

    On the aqua seafoam debate seafoam is slightly darker ; the aquas would come from sauce bottles ; common dig find ; the seafoams tend to be earlier chemist bottles so not so frequent. There are indexes but they are drawn up mostly by people who I presume dont beachcomb . There are a lot of anomalies in ID of seaglass and no reliable magazines on the subject in particular with reference to Scotland how about Wales? It is a pity that the magazine you mentioned is not more pro-active in sourcing materials . Their last video purporting to show you the top five beaches showed Scotland in a bad light nothing of interest except the marbles. Why ?

    Is the lavender rare for you in Wales common in Scotland ; your rarest collectible piece is the teal. I used to make videos just walking but yes agreed boring. I just film when I find stuff then create videos on finds such as marbles and blues. Take a look and drop a comment. You will be surprised at the amount of perfect aqua the amount of stoppers marbles etc. I dump dig now but again I dont film at the dump but do roundups. of what was found. Anyways if you want to see Scottish seaglass you know where to head. The majority of beachcombers up here dont have channels just one lot and they are the biggest channel with the worst finds.haha go figure.

    • @welshinwellies
      @welshinwellies  Год назад +2

      The lavender is rare in wales yes - but I like to get excited about everything I find - it’s all an adventure and all a treasure! I don’t think anything is “better” or “worse” as such, more about the value it holds to you. I’ve got some pieces people wouldn’t be impressed by but when I hold them I can remember the day I found them as if I was still there! That’s what my channel is about - just the joy of it.
