    What do you do for CW practice?
    I got a few adapters to so that I have a relatively compact way to use vband on my Android phone and use headphones.
    I got a shorter micro to usb-c adapter: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0BD36TZBK/.
    I also found that I regularly wanted to wear headphones while using VBand. It's impossible to do using bluetooth headphones because of the extra delay. That means that in order to plug in wired headphones I would need a USB adapter and the ability to plug in 2 USB things. After buying a handful of different ones, I finally got some that do the trick.
    USB Splitter for plugging in 2 USB-C devices that actually work: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0D94L2S3H/
    USB-C adapter for wired headphones: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B082WG5VTK/

      Morserino, Morse code world and occasionally join in on LICW266. I tried V-Band for practice through LICW, but I never got my dongle or box to work.

    Hi guys, it’s Julia from New Jersey, N1XV
    I use various apps including ARRL’s CW bulletin archive.
    Regardless of whether or not I’m on the air that day, I always practice CW for approx 30 minutes each day.
    I’ve been using CW on the air since 1998.
    Last year I’ve gotten serious about increasing my speed into the 50 WPM range.
    I’m currently between 35 and 40 WPM.
    It’s always awesome to work you and Becky via POTA!!!
    73 to both of you!!
    De N1XV

    Thanks for posting. I'm right at the start of this journey. Studying for my basic, (Canada), but got distracted with learning morse code. I just bought the converter?/adapter , from vband yesterday but wasn't sure what else I needed. You helped clear that up. Thanks again

      Welcome to the fun world of CW and good luck on your exam. Vband is a lot of fun and a great way to get started on CW even before you can get on the air. 73, Becky es Mike

    I had seen this on other channels but your description of each area gave me a better understanding of what this program can do. Relearning CW after a 35 yrs of inactivity, I feel this should be the ticket to getting back on the air. Thank you both for another great video.

    That's super cool, Mike! Tnx fer sharing. For practice, I used to get on 2m or 10m (bottom of the sunspot cycle) for local CW practice with a buddy. I was scared to death to get on with random folks. Today I find I mostly focus on activation, DXing, and contest style exchanges and am not very good at conversational CW. I need to fix that... Thanks for sharing this info. 73 es cul

    Thank you. I have a Technician license wonder about CW training and actually don't really know where to start. I have placed the paddle key in my Amazon Cart and thought about a trainer kit where I could practice on my own and at my beginning pace. Don't know what trainer kit is good to start with. I do like visual displays while I am learning. Well, thanks again. 73 to you. KG7WEN. My name is Monti

      Did you use the Vail interface? We haven't had problems with the VBand USB on Android or MacBook on about 20 WPM. We tried Vail as well because it looked very similar, but had errors with keying our paddles. 73, Mike es Becky

    I have both devices. I find the little adapter has too much delay from the time I key a paddle to the web site responding. Not useful for learning.
    The hotline device works ok through my laptop but not through my android phone or tablet.

    • @HamRadioDuo
      @HamRadioDuo  3 месяца назад

      That's interesting to know. With a paddle it seems to work pretty well with our android and MacBook. The straight key seems to have a little more delay on the MacBook. We don't have the Hotline yet but heard it is supposed to eliminate the latency issues. Will be interested in trying it out for sure! 73, Mike es Becky

    How do i use it on my android phone?

    • @HamRadioDuo
      @HamRadioDuo  23 дня назад

      On Android, you should just be able to open up this link in Chrome for Android.
      hamradio.solutions/vband/
      If you want to tap for Morse code, if you go to the settings tab there's a checkbox for enabling the tap buttons. That's good for trying it out. If you then want to use an actual key, you just order the vband adapter. By default the adapter comes with a regular USB cable. Assuming your phone has USBC, you can use the cable linked in the description, or any regular USB to USBC adapter if you want to use the cable that came with it.
      Hopefully that helps,
