Your grandmother is the MVP!! ❤❤ I love that you had her in your life. My grandma use to lay down the law too. Sending you support 🥲 Thank you for sharing!
A single woman is a woman without a community of other women. Men are not your friends the vast majority (notice I said vast and not all as I’m SURE someone will say 🙄 Ladies never allow a man to isolate and seclude you. They know someone will call them out at some point. It’s a manipulation tactic. This lady is a beautiful soul ! ❤
After watching a truck load of these unfiltered stories, I've come to realise that some men ''not all men'' are barely even fathers who can't even NOT sleep with their own off spring... They can't even NOT SLEEP WITH THEIR OWN OFFSPRING.... I then stop to think that most of these tales come from America... Interesting to note...
I agree with u. At the same time not all friends are good. Some unhappy women find joy in breaking up relationships. Some men get labeled controlling just for not approving of that single friend that wants your wife to move the same pace as her. Im just saying.
I forgive my abductors who kiddnapped me when I was 15. I also wrote a book about my experience. I only was able to forgive and move forward because I totally surrendered to Jesus Christ! I might share my testimony on here on day! You are a beautiful soul Monique! Thanks for sharing!
I’m so glad your grandmother saved you. I hate that you weren’t able to live with her and grow up in her home. Thank you for being an inspiration to others.
She gives me good vibes, and this motivates me to be a better mom no matter how hard it gets, ive had a similar childhood which is why im single since my divorce 3 years ago, im 43 years old and i have serious trust issues, so much so its preventing me from making friends or dating
ANYONE READING THIS: FORGIVENESS IS NOT EVERYTHING AND YOU DO NOT NEED TO FORGIVE YOUR ABUSER/PERPETRATOR! You need to heal your inner child. F** those people. Forget about them and if you want to eventually forgive them then wait until you work on YOU before you forgive anyone who hurt you. God bless this woman for her boldness braveness to share her dark story! We are proud of you!
if i may, i would have to respectfully disagree. if you're a Christian or any other religious background, God calls us to forgive the people who've wronged us. it's not for the other person, it's for you. because it'll cause you to keep holding grudges, repressed bitterness and anger and God doesn't want that for you. "For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins." -Matthew 6:14-15
@@khadijaabdunnur6727 you don’t have to do anything your heart doesn’t want to. Listen to your heart. If you lived by everything in the Bible you’d be living a very different life than you are, now. Let’s keep it real.
Monique, your grandma is your biggest cheerleader. She's the one that believed in you when your mom, mother's boyfriend and father let u down. You're beautiful stay strong.👍
I felt your pain and teared up when u started crying at the end. I was never physically hurt as a child like you but mentally yes. I'm the only girl with 3 brothers so I had to step up for mom. Dad and mom divorced when I was young. He moved on to a new women and treated her kids better than his own. Now I noticed it's the same with the grandkids when this was his chance to get it right. I feel like I resent my dad even more now. I'm trying to learn to forgive and I probably need to tell him how I feel!
As a 72-year-old woman who suffered neglect from her parents in my childhood, I finally realized that I was given the most self-indulgent ignorant parents a child could receive. I had lot of anger as a young adult when I started to figure out that most parents were amazing, loving and caring. The best I can say about my parents is that they didn't SA'd me or kill me but then again, they were never home long enough to even notice me or my siblings. When the grandkids came, they so of tried to be present but that didn't last either. I finally gave myself peace by just letting it go and considering the source. I am grateful they didn't physically hurt me in any way. I loved them both and helped them in their old age till they passed; but it wasn't for them really, it was all for me. Forgiveness is just another word for "be strong, forget about it and move on. That's all. Just move on and consider the source. Then look at yourself and all you have accomplish and feel very good about yourself. You did it without their help and you will do it for your kids by showing them how real parents behave toward their kids. Love, hugs and happiness!
That's a blessing you had your grandmother to believe you and help you the best she could. You are a strong person for forgiving you're parents especially your mother because I wouldn't be able to at all.
That is so true, after years of my own SA I hated my attackers, but to say forgive and actually do it ate two different things, once you put the action and truly forgive it such a weight lifted 😊 once I did this the floodgates of blessings poured in😊
23:18 I was really enjoying listening to you until this point, I absolutely disagree with the fact that you forgave your parents and are letting them have a relationship with your kids! You need to protect your children! You can't put them through that!
I understand your frustration and your right to a degree however her mother is probably old as shit by now and I’m sure the father is too and the way god is set up everything this woman touch is blessed and covered in the blood of Jesus and at the end of the day them her parents and she choose to give her life a normal chance and it sounds like things are working out and her parents know better now I’m sure they understand the consequences that will come if anything happens
This is one of the darkest stories I’ve heard and at the same time out of all the stories of trauma, one of the most beautiful ones. I appreciate you writing this book and sharing your story to help educate all of us weather we suffered trauma or know people who have. Thank you thank you thank you!!!
Horrible childhood due to ignorance and lack of child rearing experience by your parents but thank you Jesus that you survived. You're a wonderful daughter who was able to forgive her neglectful parents and chose a life of love and good example for your own children. God bless you now and always. Live your best life sweetie and stay strong.
You're a beautiful person, Monique, and a really good raconteur.. Thank you for sharing your story and for being so strong, positive, and spiritually aware!
You are so brave for telling this story... this can really help somebody understand they're not alone...and get help...so much evil and degradation... I'm so sorry you had to experience that...
I love how she really literally councils herself she is so strong and I loved how she tells her story what is her book name? So beautiful she makes me want to write my story of my life down she gets ❤❤❤
We have to do something about these families. When a child is being molested, why does the family turn their back. This makes me think of all the children in foster care by default. At some point the pain turns into anger and then they become "hard to place" in a home. As an educator and teacher, I will make it my business to observe and listen to my students
I am so in love with that Grandmother right now ^_^ I love the fact that she told her Grandmother and it stopped before it got worse. Happy for you Monique and I hope you continue to blossom! I disagree that your father being "young and making mistakes" is a reason for him being abusive. He was an abuser,. Abusing someone isn't a "mistake", it is a choice.
Monique your story touched me and brought me to tears. Sorry you had a horrible childhood. You are a beautiful person inside and out. To have the power to forgive, is a powerful emotion. I forgive myself but cannot at the moment forgive those monsters in my childhood. I pray and speak continuous healing, love, light and peace over your life❤🙏🏾

Only one guy (future husband) in my life worth my love and attention. You can forgive but the relationship with your parents don’t need to be close if you choose not to and still move forward away from toxicity 😁 sad part about it is when you’re little girl and live in a little fairytale world where you think boys protect girls and then let down by several in your life you hold on to hope that one day you’ll find that special someone that will be your savior, knight and shining armor, your Ken, your Hallmark guy❤️🤗

Right I was about to say the same thing. 🤣🤣 Mama Bear mode is real with the strength that comes from it to protect your child.
