First time on your channel. Very good, informative video. I will definitely try the low to high setting shave. I do, at times, find myself so engrossed in the shave that I forget to change the settings on the adjustable. I have a Rockwell T2SS and the Progress adjustable. I am looking forward to your suggestion with my next shave.

Thanks for the sub & compliment. Try the low to high & see how it works for you.
I’m working on a how to 2 pass shave method video I should have out next few days. Stay tuned & happy shaves !

Brave to see you go ATG on every pass presumably no post shave irritation. Must be technique at its best

My shaves look confusing & I’ve been changing up my method a little lately.
I go with the grain 1st pass, 2nd pass I can go ATG or across the grain & last pass I’ll go whatever way I haven’t yet. I’ve been alternating ATG vs across on 2nd pass lately is all.
If I use too aggressive of a setting my neck gets very raw & irritated so I never do a 2 pass aggressive shave. I prefer mild/medium settings and do 3+ pass shave.
Thanks for watching & the comment.

Many start shaving with cartridge razors and (perhaps unknowingly) have already experienced this as the first blade shaves mildly, while subsequent blades shave closer and closer as the 'blade gap' increases. Since cartridge razors are fairly comfortable, it would seem most are designed with minimal blade exposure. After years of testing various razor types, I haven't found a single razor style that can efficiently and comfortably complete a shave -- though this could also say something about my shaving skills. Most razors seem efficient only up to a point, or there may be severe comfort issues depending upon beard growth. If one has coarse beard growth it might be more efficient and comfortable to switch between an aggressive single edge razor using thicker and wider Feather Artist Club blades (I like their most aggressive Professional Super blades), then another single edge razor design (also using Feather Artist Club blades) which can comfortably accomplish shaving tasks the first couldn't, then finishing the shave with the most aggressive double edge safety razor (used with a very light touch) to clear out any persistent beard stubble. Thicker Feather Artist Club blades seem much more comfortable and efficient at the start of a multi-day growth shave, while aggressive double edge blades (in a different, very blade stable razor design) are 'tamed' and most efficient at the very end of a shave as they chase the fleeting BBS goal. Still, my (convoluted) shaving method probably would leave a blood bath for those having more sensitive skin.

Please do! Thrilled you watched my video. I enjoy your channel. Jealous how your skin can handle aggressive razors 🤣
Let me know what you think.

@@Stubblemeetssteel it will be after Christmas because I’ll be doing the advent calendar videos until then. This should have its own video.

I thought about using the Rockwell 6c. The Parker open comb is hot right now so I grabbed it. Thanks for watching. I’m going to do next few adjustable shaves 2-3-4 style and see how it goes “long term”

Thanks for the sub! I’m not going to lie. I did not expect it to go down this way 😂. Friendship shaving (mark) did a 3 pass all same way shave video. I can’t find it now. That is also a interesting idea!
