Tony Stephenson lazy writing my friend - the sword has blasted from the centre of third earth out to the surface, overpowered the rat-stars firepower, used power beyond power, blasted mountains to dust.....but here the sword fades when up against some rocks. Also why didn't Liono blast the rocks instead of holding them there? Answe, unfortunately is lazy writing lol
In the early episodes... the sword can shoot lightning bolts, and summon thundercats, see whatever it wants and be controlled. In the later episodes it can be used to literally do anything it wants. crazy

You gotta remember the sword's power was fighting against gravity for like 5-10 mins from Lion-O's point of view.
