Cruel Lata killed melodious singing of Geeta Datt, Shamshad Begum, own sister Usha Mangeshkar, Hem Lata, Anuradha Paudwal, Vani Jai Ram and many others. She tried to contain Asha also, but she escaped due to OP Nayyar, who never worked with Lata. No doubt Lata was a great singer, but she sinfully killed many great voices.
Vani jayaram ji made her name in SOUTH FILM industry. Anuradha Paudwal is a sweet voice singer but not as sweet as Lata Mangeshkar. I heard Lata mangeshkar jis numeral songs especially after her demise the sweetness which she had in her voice which no one can match. Ppl should understand that. Not only this , suman ji had told that " lata tai , herself came to studio on my first recording , it was a surprise for me . I bowed near her feet , she gave me blessings , I was very young so had to use a stool to reach up to Mike.
