This is so encouraging to a self taught nail enthusiast like myself. When I first started doing my own acrylic nails licensed professionals were not so open with sharing techniques. I'm so living for this :)
I have been a Licensed Nail Professional for 30 years. I had to take a break for a while to take care of my Mom who passed from cancer. I will be setting up business again and have found your videos to be very helpful in refreshing what I all ready knew as well as teaching somethings I did not know. Thank you so much! I'll be watching....
Yes please. It would be nice to see proffesional like products for the ones without a license. Where im from to get a license its a few grand. Not worth it unless your going in the industry.
If I lived in Canada I'd so volunteer! Lol been watching for years but still haven't got the nerve to buy the stuff and try. Jenna Marbles scarred me a little... xD
I'm an assistant manager at a Sally's, here in Michigan in the US, and I always direct our customers to your videos when they are wanting to do acrylics or gel nails at home. All of your videos are very informative, and whenever you use products that I recognize from our store, it helps further my knowledge about that product. So, I guess what I'm trying to say, is thank you for all the knowledge that you give me, and our customers!!💜💜
My home town Sally’s employees know nothing when I asked them about the kits and trying acrylics the first time. I learned by these tutorials and many mess ups and finally got it down. And built up lots of Sally points and coupons! I wish all of them were as knowledgeable as you!
@ Gypsy Havoc ive only been in to sallys once just for some beads for some tip extensions..... is it ok for non professionals to purchase everything in sallys? like is there anything that i couldnt purchase without a license? do you guys ever cringe when non professionals come in to shop? haha im like nervous to go to sallys for nail stuff
I'm currently transitioning from male to female. When I started my transition, I started watching your videos. What you said in this video, about not rushing to learn is what I appreciate the most. I spent all day today making mistakes doing my nails with gel. And I'll continue making mistakes to do it better each time. Love you gals.
💙💛You don't make mistakes - you just learn ways not to do something. ❣️ *Edison said he didn't fail to invent the light bulb 100 times he just learned 100 ways it didn't work...*
I got some amazing and easy to use polygels from Amazon and did my nails for the first time the other day. it took me a bit to get used to the products because I've never used them before but they turned out awesome! I can see myself getting better and better.
You have to be careful with products of lower grade. I used Ebay products and ended up with allergies. Had acrylics done professionally but when I started doing my own nails a few years later, ended up with the allergies. Unfortunately I have to be so careful now as to products. Find that Brisa Gel, Silcare and NDED are great gels for us allergy prone gals. I use CJP acrylics and the Hema-Free Monomer.
The nail industry has come really far just in the past 10-15yrs. I first used glue on nails in 1963-64!!! as a 13 yo. I'd keep some of my allowance an go to the 5 an 10 (walmart type store) an every weekend I'd buy 2 boxes. If I remember correctly the cost per was just a little over $1.25. From then until 18months ago I kept my nails done. What I would recommend for every beginner is to hand file acrylic nails, at least once or twice. It helps learning pressure, smoothness, thickness of nails. Then of course move on to electric file. Oh, those nail from 1963 only stayed on for a couple hrs. before one would pop off. Lol. Thank you ladies so much for all the information you make available. This was a great video.
Wow this video turned out to be so amazing. So thankful for our friendship and for cameraman's mad skills. Look out world 'cause educated nail lovers are taking over no matter what products they've got! Love you Sue! Thanks for a great time...xoxo
What a treat having you both in the same video! It was really fun to watch. Something about watching the process of applying and shaping the product is so relaxing, and very satisfying as it starts to come together. Thank you both for a great video
Can you do a: "How to remove nails att home" "Improvised nail art on the spot" "Doos and don'ts for beginners " "Do it whit me nails for beginners " "All you need to know for beginners " "Things that is not good that people do" "Wish product review " Pls like I hope she sees it💕
The only one I'd personally like to see out of those are the wish kits tbh lol plus I think she's done most of those topics. Let's hope she does some wish kits tho!!
I love the fact that you ladies went out of your way to buy products to see what your non-professional crowd is working with! I find this very encouraging and ive learned so much from you ladies !!! Thank you thank you thank you !!! You ladies are wonderful technicians individually and im glad I discovered you BOTH on youtube !!!!
More videos with Elizabeth, please. You two work great together and she doesn’t close up when she’s on camera. She also has great points in the reviews! Love you both!
I love Anastasia (NailCou) -- she's a good, thorough teacher and her videos are good. But she's not chatty at all when she's with someone else (I'm not either, so I understand...) :)
I agree with Elizabeth's point of knowing the fundamentals! I'm a graphic designer and we were taught that in order to be successful in breaking the rules (aka being experimental and being expressive) you have to know how to do things formally. I guess an example is how many fine artists are quite abstract with their famous works, but all were classically trained!
That’s what I love about Elizabeth’s or The Nail Hub’s website they have a tab for DIYers and Pros and lists all the acrylics, gels , and accessories you need. She has a great heart and wants us to be safe in what we use.
I am a DIY nail girl. I bought a 45 watt lamp from Amazon's for $35. And I get all my gels from aliexpress. Got my gel, bonder, base and top coat for about $15. I do get files from Sally's though.
same here! I bought a base, top, and six colors from amazon for $30 and got a $15 lamp from walmart. I got some good files as well. In total, all the supplies I’ve been using to do my nails countless times cost less than the price of two salon manicures!
So I know this video is about the nails, but as a knitter, I CANNOT get over how cute Elizabeth's sweater is! I love the tweed, LOVE that it's Harry Potter, and I love a sweater over a button-down. It's a very elegant look.
I really enjoyed this video. You two ladies are the cream of the crop. I did want to point out that in the USA, IBD hard gels are considered professional products even though *some* of them are available at beauty supply stores open to the public.
I think this IBD gel is an actual professional product! Same for the gelish lamp which looked cute too! I seen it being sold in one of the distributor i use. Great job i love both your channels!!
I use IBD products and like them. Great results. I went to nail school in 1982 and now I am back into nails without a lic. I am also learning everything from you and Elizabeth, Kirsty, and so many others. I love utube and all the great teachers in the nail biz. I did a full set of gel nails the other day on myself and it took an hour per nail, inlay, glitter, encasing etc., They came out perfect! So it is true, develop your style and skill and do not worry about time. I can't wait to see you and Kirsty, the polar opposites. That will be fun and wear purple for beautiful minds!!!!!
As a DIYer in Canada, the prices at Sally's make me cringe especially since the selection isn't there. We need more online nail stores that ship to Canada. I'm thankful for online stores that sell to DIYers and have reasonable prices.
I bought everything on Amazon, and it’s a lot cheaper and better quality. I watched many tutorials and opinions about different products before buying them, and they are quite good. And for the acrylic brush I heard that Kolinsky is a good one.
LoL Patience. Practice. Perseverance. The Three P's of nail art. The amount of time it takes to create a full set of short extensions on myself is always astounding. My first set with hard gel took six hours, with glitter encapsulated. That was a several months ago, and started from already bare nails. I did a fresh set of poly gel extensions, with glitter and glow-in-the-dark pigment this morning: five hours including take down of last set (down to thin base coat) to final top coat. There's one nail that may get refiled (how do I keep missing that corner?!?!?) but otherwise they look great. I am not a pro, but I am thinking about going to school and becoming one. I just really love doing nails. It's my Zen time 😊 Thanks to all the great videos by Suzie and Liz and all the other awesome professional nail techs and artists on RUclips I am finding all the great information, tips and tricks it takes to be confident in my own ability. ❤
when your favorite RUclips Nail-Educators make a video together 😍 love your spirits and how you taught me so much about nails 😊. I have started a few months ago to do my own nails and let's just say ... I still have a lot to learn 😅. But I'm so fascinated with nails and I'm sure you guys will teach me whatever I need to learn 😁 Thank you guys!🥰
IBD is a professional product, and was one of the pioneers in the gel industry since the early 70's. I've used it for 25yrs in salon. I've been using gels since the early 80's. I use ibd hard gel. I can lay a set of overlays with ibd in under 5 min. I lay a slip layer and then apply my drag. I've been making my own polygel with ibd hard and clear acrylic to sculpt tips. It works great. I have very little lifting.
The 2 of you are my heros. I did an apprenticeship and had to learn everything on my own. I have learned so much from the both of you. I still have lots to learn and I am sure I will always be learning however I would have never made it this far without the 2 of you. Thank you for all you do. I appreciate you both so much.
Susie and Liz two of the greatest instructors in the RUclips nail world, I love you both. It was so much fun watching this video. Thank you both, I have been self thought RUclips videos. I have learned so much from both of you. Thanks ladies.❤️❤️
I don't know what it is but, watching someone do nails is so calming for me. I watched for the first time last night Elizabeth putting gel on nails and now today watching Suzie earlier with her daughter and now the 2 of you trying the diy. I am a first time DIYer do not know what I am doing but, my nails are thin and want to beef them up with gel and have strong neat nails. So I am learning from you. Thank you.
As always, a great video. And I have to admit that as a DIYer it’s pretty hard maneuvering with the products available (and their cost as well). One true thing about the answers you gave is that many of us don’t feel comfortable in salons so we do it ourselves (sometimes ending up with big messes instead of nails) but we always manage it thanks to professionals like you ❤️♥️
My nail tech uses IBD gel. I always assumed it was a professional product, mostly because she creates such beautiful nails with it. Really goes to show how education and talent is so key. I also love that pink shade, so beautiful!
Tasha Beattie i use IBD also and I get it from Amazon. It’s a very good quality gel, but the viscosity of it is probably very different from what Liz is used to using.
Elizabeth’s story of how she got into nails really mirrors mine! I’ve always taken so much pride in having a fresh and clean looking manicure and pedicure. I’ve always followed nail techs on RUclips, but Suzie influenced me to take things a step further. Instead of just regular polishes and basic tools, I now have a collection of nail products and tools 😂 my husband got me a UV/LED lamp as an early Christmas present (I say early because I was too excited to wait), and I have lots of gel polishes, tools, false nails, decorative items like gems and stickers to put on them. I definitely share the same passion as you lovely ladies. Thank you Suzie for inspiring me to get something nice for myself and practice my passion 💅🏼💗
Its very common for experts to say that drugstore supplies are bad and worthless. I love the fact that you don’t do that and just make it work👏🏽👏🏽 greetings from Holland! 🇳🇱
You guys should a series you were try out new products together that are not professional every week or so. Imagine if you tried products from wish or sallies lmao! Luv you ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I have to say that as a DYIer there is no way in hell I would pay $250 for a uv lamp let alone spend $500 for supplies. If I had that kind of $$ I'd pay someone else to do it for it me. Now do this with a $100 budget and that might be closer to reality. I bought a dip powder system from Amazon for around $50 and used my Dremel until I could afford a decent drill for around $40. The drill I got was one of the ones you reviewed actually. I love you guys but $500 budget is pro pricing not DIY
Again they purchased the products in Canada and our prices here are inflated af hahaha xp and it would defiently be cheaper on eBay but still expensive cuz Canada's shipping costs are crazy too
mszoomy Me, either. Couldn’t afford to pay those prices! I was looking on Amazon the other day after Suzie demo’ed 4 different gel lamps that the Camaraman purchased from Amazon, and the one she liked best I think was on Amazon for around $25.00 without a license requirement. Even I can afford that!😁
you are completly right! im all aboutj doing my own nails, and i for example my first kit was like freak 60 -70 dlls! its insane! my lamp was like 15 dlls lmao i stil use it, bc im nto a pro i just do my own nails and theyre pretty still.
I’ve been if doing my acrylic nails for 2 years now and I learned everything from watching your videos! Thank you so much for posting your videos! They’re so much fun to watch and so inspiring. I never thought I’d be able to do my own acrylics. I remember when I first started out that I kept watching you videos in liquid to power ratios lol I’m still learning sometimes but I’ve made so much progress because of you
Oh my goodness!! I am fangirling so much watching this! I just got my wisdom tooth out and I'm laying down trying to will the pain away, and watching this was so calming! I respect both of you so much as people and especially as nail techs. Thank you for sharing you nail education, and inspiring people like me (a non-professional nail enthusiast) to dive deeper into this vast world of nails, and enjoy every bit that this hobby/career has to offer.
Too fun watching the two of you. I used to work in a salon 30 years ago, but a reaction to the chemicals chased me from the industry. I let my license go, wish I hadn't. Tried going to a nail salon and just couldn't take the chemicals...now I do my own at home. I have invested in the best tools I can find, but product it a tough one. It's fun watching you both struggle makes me realize I'm doing pretty good.
I absolutely love both of your demeanours, nothing fake or snotty, just warmth and humour! I can see why you are both so successful. Maybe it's just nice to see some fellow non-millennials making RUclips videos!
I love these types of videos. I started attempting to do nails at 14 before RUclips and the internet were available. It was A LOT of trial and so many errors. I went to a nail salon a few times and really watched their process. I bought supplies and practiced, practiced, PRACTICED!!!! Before I got into an efile, I hand filed. That was a pain but it made me a better tech. Time went on and finally in 2013 I went to school to get my license. I encourage everyone I know that wants to make this a paid career to get the education and a license. That can take you further.
I’ve loved nails since I was 5 years old! I was around maybe 7 when my mom stopped painting my nails and I had to do it myself:) doing my own acrylics honestly made me so happy!! Thank you Bc you’ve taught me what I should and shouldn’t do❤️
What a treat having you both in the same video! It was really fun to watch. Something about watching the process of applying and shaping the product is so relaxing, and very satisfying as it starts to come together. Thank you both for a great video
@@delilahpagan7500 madenia us a good one from Amazon. I'm in the UK its£35 and it comes with a foot pedal and spaces for your drill bits.the company that sells it is madenia and it's pink with nail master on it. No vibration at all even at high.
One thing I absolutely love about RUclips is the access of information. I love your channel and Naio Nails for learning about products and techniques. I find it fascinating how creative yall are in conceptualizing such artistic pieces onto a nail. I sadly bite my nails so I rarely get the chance to let them grow long enough to do them... But when I do! I try my best to play play around with stones, shaped metal bits, glitter, and different finishes to make my nails cute. Last time I did them I used a sheer irridescent polish and put a tiny gold metal heart on my thumbs and middle fingers as a cute lil accent that didn't overpower my small nails. Though, thinking back... I think what ended up happening to this set of designs... Is what tends to happen... My index fingers, for whatever reason, does not hold onto polish. The whole nail's worth peels off. It may take a few days... Sometimes it can last up to a week. But, the polish will peel off in one piece. How could I remedy this? Should I scrape up the top layer? Should I prep my nails by rubbing them down with rubbing alcohol to get the oils out? I just don't wanna do something to cause any additional damage... Biting them does enough as is lol. And before anyone comments on this... It's an anxiety driven compulsive habit that I will never be able to stop. Been doing it since 3rd grade and I am now 32. It's not gonna stop. There are stretches where I am ok and don't gnaw on them, but that rarely happens and I've tried polishing them, but I end up picking at the polish instead...
Seriously before companies such as Naio Nails and Young Nails and Glam and Glitz and Glitterbells (and many others) came out allowing non licensed to purchase quality products, I used this! For YEARS!!! And I cringed through this entire video but I am so grateful that I started with “junk” products and brushes, because when I finally got my hands on some quality stuff my nail game was exponentially better!!! And once I got that confidence simply BECAUSE of the quality products, my techniques and 3D work came out!! I tried the builder gel too but ended up using that basically for a “top coat” over my nail polishes I still had before I converted to gel polish!!! I LOVE you ladies even more so for this video!
The ibd hard gel that she used is really well known and a lot of techs use it where I live. I work with acrygels though. Much less messy and a bit easier to work with.
I could watch suzie unbox new products all day long. I know she's going to throw the packaging and it makes me giggle every time. You two are the best!
First of all... Thank you for answering my questions on air! I feel like such a celebrity now! 😉 (BTW, my handle is pronounced A-Lad-Unsane) The other highlights for me were 1) When Liz deadpanned there are a lot of good educators out there (on RUclips) and 2) When Liz did the "Susie Toss". Hilarious! If you two ever get tired of your nail gigs, I think you both have promising careers ahead as a comedy team! Keep up the fantastic work! 🙂
Elizabeth ypur so warm hearted and willing to teach without feeling like your giving away too much information like some people in the nail industry who feel threatened by this and their on a "your on your own" kind of route. There wasnt much feedback on the hub girl with the majority of the questions where she'll say " thats a tough question" and she'll throw it to you. I applaude you Eli. Your awesome and can carry a conversation
You can find all of these products on sites like AliExpress or wish. I can do about 10 sets for $25 or less. There are even reasonably priced acrylic sets at Walmart These products are really overpriced.
Luv Suzie and Liz is my favorite I watch every one of her videos on nail hub. For non professionals I recommend watching lots of youtube tutorials and ordering your products/tools on ebay/born pretty/aliexpress/Amazon. You can find amazing gels lamps and drills that can be purchased even if you're a non professional.
Great idea ladies! I'm a DIY'er and I watched your nail tutorials for a long time before I decided to try it myself. I wanted to get good quality product too. I ended up buying a kit, nail forms and acrylic brush from Max Estrada about a year ago. I was so happy I didn't have to be a professional to buy from his website and it only cost me about $40 USD. I also bought an electronic nail file from wish.com and it cost me about $15 USD. Although it took me about 4 hours the first time I did them because I had to file so much off. I was very impressed with myself. They didn't look that bad. I improved over time and have graduated to doing dip nails now. It's so much easier and only takes me about 45 mins to do a whole set with filing. I still enjoy watching all the nail videos on RUclips though and I still learn things all the time. I would never let anyone do my nails though. :)
I do DIY nails only on myself and my hardest struggle is always finding quality products that I can buy without being a licensed tech. I have a full time career so going to school to become licensed isn't really an option for me :( I just wish it wasn't so hard to get ahold of the good stuff since I'm not into paying $50 for basic gel overlays. It's really nice to show the struggles we go through as DIYers!
Try Max's products, u don't need a license and its total quality. Hes involved from start to finish in everything that has to do with his products. They've also won awards and he uses only his own stuff in all his competitions. Suzie had Max on her show a few times also And she uses his Gummy jelly to adhere gems and his Shinee top coat. Max Estrada Enailcouture.com I use all of his hard gels My favorite is Candy jelly Eternal beige. All his stuff can be used together and I like his hard gel because u don't need a base or bonder but u can use it if u want. I just dehydrate, prime and apply n ur done. All his stuff smells like candy all the dust falls down and my nails last well over 6 weeks. Good luck!
I feel as if this isnt realistic though... as I've been doing my own nails for years and I got started with a 25 dollar kit off ebay for acrylics. Eventually moved up to the revel dip powder which the starter kit is 50 USD. My uv/led combo light was 35 USD and my e-file was under 30 USD... the builder gel I bought which works great was maybe 15 dollars and I have decent brushes that cost less than 10 dollars. My e-file bits were around 8 dollars per bit. Meanwhile you go to a pro store that you can buy stuff as a non pro and spent 500 dollars... no one I know spent that much ever on starter kits etc... my gel polish normally comes from ebay for around 1.50 dollars for 8ml, or 3 dollars for 15ml. You dont have to break the bank to do fake nails at home!
Yess! I would love to see them trying out cheaper ebay nail supplies that you can buy without draining your wallet. I still use $3 gels but I've learnt to work with them so now they stay strong for at least 3 weeks.
It helps that she can use the cost for this video's product, as deduction for her taxes. 😉 I agree with you completely, you don't need to spend a lot of money to do your nails at home.
It may cost more because i bought it from a Canadian store- so they inflate the cost to cover the exchange and shipping etc. Plus the lamp was half our budget 😱 at $250
@@user-bc4rn1jw7e I get excited when she says she gonna review cheap products... but her idea of cheap is over two hundred dollars... yikes! Like she should really do a video about products from ebay or wish! Make a budget of under 100 dollars. Would be wonderful!
My daughter is 2 and absolutely loves doing her nails shes not half bad for a 2 year old and she only paints her skin with the polish once in a while I hope she keeps that love for nail art!!!!
I'm so glad u guys did this! I'm a nail tech that went to school but couldn't afford to finish and never took the state license test ( I'm in the states where u have to take a stupid test) so I really loved what Suzie had to say about changing the industry to let everyone have access to quality products. Luckily I've found many ways to get quality products to work with but I know a lot of ppl that don't and they buy those exactly kits u guys did and then they don't understand why they can't do and they give up, sometimes when they shouldn't have cuz it wasn't them it was the product. So ty guys for this video! U both are wonderful teachers 💅❤
Around 19:50 🤣 Liz does "the Suzie" and throws the box over her shoulder...LOL 😂 so refreshing to see you two having lots of fun! You two are my favorites and I'm approximately half way through the video 💟💜💟
I just absolutely loved the video and Susie I’ve always love the music for your videos just love it and really nice to see you to lose the two of you together fabulous
I love this video so much! I found you Suzie when I was learning to do my own acrylics after many let downs from many salons in my area. I learned so much from you! Unfortunately over time I became allergic to using acrylic and would have severe hayfever and respiratory issues after every use. I then taught myself how to use gels and now use the IBD hard gel and love it. I've no issues from it thankfully. I will always keep following your channel and now Elizabeth's! Thank you for your videos for all of us at home who are learning.
Hi y'all, from North Carolina. Wonderful video. I love you both and I've learned so much from y'all. So much to the point that I'm in Nail school at 48 yrs old. Of course after having a little girl, I had to do nails on her and myself. Now she's a Senior in college and I'm still wanting to do nails. So thank you both for your help with your videos. Peace and blessings.
@@NailCareerEducation I hope my husband gets used to it like cameraman, lol he walked in the house and said whoa what is that lol I love the smell always have
the best thing about the internet is that we're learning things at a younger age, doing things better because professionals are telling us what to keep in mind, sharing their knowledge. our only roadblock is cost at this point because of the wealth of knowledge on the internet. with online shopping, too, you can get things quick and sometimes even cheaper than in store products. it's great. we're becoming professionals at younger ages
Before I went to nail tech school I had access to professional product online. I used a lot of it in school. I had almost everything they gave me in my kit already. Great vid!
I am a nail diyer. I watch you both and that is how I learned and got the courage to try on my own I have started with dip powders and tips thanks for being such great teachers
You should do a video on Mia Secret acrylic systems they are more affordable you get more and it’s an amazing product line you’d be pleasantly surprised
I’m watching this at your saying about thing in the past..lol. I started when I was 18. I’m 65... talk about goo and 4 hrs of filing...lol. I was so happy when Tammy Taylor started her business it was like butter...so you can imagine what I think of the products of today. Love your shows.❤️
I'm 13 and I've been doing my own acrylics for about a month and I learned everything from youtube, and now they look like I got them at the salon. I'm also going to start doing my friends nails for money
Definitely agree, people do this for a living and need the money and customers but little kits like this are useful if ur artist can’t fit u in last minute but I wouldn’t regularly buy the mini kits (never have btw). Love getting to see artists doing my nails as they are more knowledgeable on how to do them properly and better than if I was doing it myself and I get to relax while getting pampered 😊
Wow, that lamp priced ridiculously high. I use to use a sensational lamp from Walmart for $14. Used it with Ibd hard gel and it worked great, never had a problem with lifting or not curing.
This is so encouraging to a self taught nail enthusiast like myself. When I first started doing my own acrylic nails licensed professionals were not so open with sharing techniques. I'm so living for this :)
I love you
Likewise with most professions, 34 years working f-t. Sad. I share if it'll help. 🎗
Love your videos. Glad you follow Suzie too. Your comment is soooooo true!!!!
So true! Btw I love your channel :) I've been a sub for a while
@sandy M Thank you so much! 🤗
I have been a Licensed Nail Professional for 30 years. I had to take a break for a while to take care of my Mom who passed from cancer. I will be setting up business again and have found your videos to be very helpful in refreshing what I all ready knew as well as teaching somethings I did not know. Thank you so much! I'll be watching....
Susie,
You should create a line of acrylic and gel products and sell it to both with and with out a license! 👍🏻
I would assume that’s in the making
OMG I would love to see such a product.
Ya it should be any time months ago she said they should have it out in a month

You can the ibd gels from Amazon. That’s where I got mine from.
It helps learning pressure, smoothness, thickness of
nails.
Love your Harry Potter (I think) sweater. I knit myself one in red and gray.
Your both such a fantastic inspiration for our industry! 🥰 Really appreciate your collab for this video! Loved it! TFS! 💓💅🥰
What a treat having you both in the same video! It was really fun to watch. Something about watching the process of applying and shaping the product is so relaxing, and very satisfying as it starts to come together. Thank you both for a great video
Can you do a:

The only one I'd personally like to see out of those are the wish kits tbh lol plus I think she's done most of those topics. Let's hope she does some wish kits tho!!
Yes the beginners and the how to remove the nails at home
You should repeat this experiment with acrylic from wish 😂
lol.. OMG, "NIGHTMARE"!!
Anna McDonald or walmart
Dear lord! Have mercy on their brushes!
please XD
Or nah, how about investing that money in growing nail professionals instead of DIY products at Walmart, Wish, Sally's 💯
Sarapatchkid18 yes she does! She just blesses other people and in return gets blessed!
She’s like the calm teacher you’ll accidentally call mom 💕
You guys work so well together! I love how engaging Elizabeth is.
Bria D I felt the same way! They are fun together and I feel like she’s one of the most engaging people Suzie’s brought into her channel. 😊
My two favorite nail tech professionals! I’ve been following Elizabeth’s videos like a real class, taking notes and everything!
I am a DIY nail girl. I bought a 45 watt lamp from Amazon's for $35. And I get all my gels from aliexpress. Got my gel, bonder, base and top coat for about $15. I do get files from Sally's though.
Zoey Z saaaammmmeeeee😉🙌🏻✌🏼
Same in Australia, it's a pro product
Rockin Robin Polley I like Ibd gel too
As a DIYer in Canada, the prices at Sally's make me cringe especially since the selection isn't there. We need more online nail stores that ship to Canada. I'm thankful for online stores that sell to DIYers and have reasonable prices.
Raven Darkholme Do Canada have amazon? Amazon is much cheaper than Sally’s
Me too
I bought everything on Amazon, and it’s a lot cheaper and better quality. I watched many tutorials and opinions about different products before buying them, and they are quite good. And for the acrylic brush I heard that Kolinsky is a good one.
LoL
Patience.
It's my Zen time 😊
Thanks to all the great videos by Suzie and Liz and all the other awesome professional nail techs and artists on RUclips I am finding all the great information, tips and tricks it takes to be confident in my own ability. ❤
Hooooold up Homegurl. Is she wearing a Hogwarts sweater!? Now I know how you reach this level of nail art. MAGIC!
That would be the knit jumper that Molly made for Harry every year for Christmas. :)
I was looking for this comment!
Krümel Krams I thought the same thing!!!!!!! I want to know where she got it!!!
@@xnerdling4003 Ah. I thought those were green. But alas. Nice jumper!😄
Lol I scrolled down the comment section for this reaction. It was the first thing I noticed. It looks good on her!
when your favorite RUclips Nail-Educators make a video together 😍 love your spirits and how you taught me so much about nails 😊. I have started a few months ago to do my own nails and let's just say ... I still have a lot to learn 😅. But I'm so fascinated with nails and I'm sure you guys will teach me whatever I need to learn 😁 Thank you guys!🥰
Both so generous! :)
What lamp would you use for ibd hard gel?
I think you should do a video like this but with all products from Amazon!! 👍🏼👍🏼
I want to see her use Mia Secret, that's on Amazon and it seems pretty legit
@@priscillamariiinn me too!!
Thank you.
Two nail techs that I love.
It is sold in professional stores, so I'm confused about that... it's a great product though.
IBD is a professional brand and many nail techs use it.
Tasha Beattie i use IBD also and I get it from Amazon. It’s a very good quality gel, but the viscosity of it is probably very different from what Liz is used to using.
IBD is a professional product. I use to get gel nails and the tech used IBD. This application technique made me 🤦♀️🤦♀️. ..
Thank you for the responses! Love learning more about each persons experience both as client and technician.
Love watching both of you. This is how I make sure my nail technician is doing my nails correctly cause I watch you both 😁👍🏻💅🏻
Love watching the two of you together! It's always a fun educational time. Can't wait to see you with Kirsty Meakin!
That other chick is chill af. I really like her personality.
Liz is amazing. Check out her channel.
She is THE BEST teacher too!! My fav.
Luv you ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I agree this would be a great weekly feature!
They bought these supplies from Sally's. LMAO! You obviously didn't watch the video!
Again they purchased the products in Canada and our prices here are inflated af hahaha xp and it would defiently be cheaper on eBay but still expensive cuz Canada's shipping costs are crazy too
Its D I Y
Right, cause my led/UV lamp is 48w and I paid only $20 for it on amazon. They would have made out better shopping on amazon, in my opinion
mszoomy Me, either.
Your voices are so calming I legit fell asleep. Oops

I watch total asleep 😂
I did as well.
Lol i always fall asleep on suzie!
Many of the diy guides have that effect on me! Their voices are so soothing. I love 💘 it.
I’ve been if doing my acrylic nails for 2 years now and I learned everything from watching your videos! Thank you so much for posting your videos! They’re so much fun to watch and so inspiring. I never thought I’d be able to do my own acrylics. I remember when I first started out that I kept watching you videos in liquid to power ratios lol I’m still learning sometimes but I’ve made so much progress because of you
I love the Tropical Shine files at Sally’s! I have natural nails and the 400/600 grit files are my go to and they’re only $1.49 each.

I so admire these two professionals! Great give and take of information.
Just love watching the two of you working together! Being a Nail Tech for 10 yrs you still learn something! Thanks Ladies! 💞💅🏼🇿🇦

Allison Hodge I thought young nails was for licensed only?
honeybadgerzs it is however I saw where a lady had purchased products without a license.
honeybadgerzs yes I have seen ladies get it unlicensed, though I have never tried!!
My confidence has gone up since I’ve seen this video. Thank you ladies for your time!
I used ibd gel when i started doing nails 😃😅 now I’m in love with Light Elegance 😍
Suzie, you are so talented and you have gorgeous nails and hands to start with. You’re a natural born teacher. Thank you so much for sharing!
The ibd hard gel that she used is really well known and a lot of techs use it where I live. I work with acrygels though. Much less messy and a bit easier to work with.
Yes!! Me too!
lol and here I was thinking it was a Bowie reference
Elizabeth ypur so warm hearted and willing to teach without feeling like your giving away too much information like some people in the nail industry who feel threatened by this and their on a "your on your own" kind of route.
There wasnt much feedback on the hub girl with the majority of the questions where she'll say " thats a tough question" and she'll throw it to you. I applaude you Eli. Your awesome and can carry a conversation
Throwing the garbage behind her! 🧡🧡 everytime she does that I laugh ..
Me too, idk why it's so entertaining to me lol
Thank you Suzie for teaching us about acrylic
You can find all of these products on sites like AliExpress or wish. I can do about 10 sets for $25 or less. There are even reasonably priced acrylic sets at Walmart These products are really overpriced.
I love these two together! They have great chemistry

I’m 10 and I already do gel and acrylic I’m not the best but I practice on my best friend because she loves the results ❤️
Max Estrada Enailcouture.com
I use all of his hard gels
My favorite is Candy jelly Eternal beige.
All his stuff can be used together and I like his hard gel because u don't need a base or bonder but u can use it if u want. I just dehydrate, prime and apply n ur done. All his stuff smells like candy all the dust falls down and my nails last well over 6 weeks. Good luck!
Suzie has such a beautiful character and such great humor. I love her so much! 🥰
I agree with you completely, you don't need to spend a lot of money to do your nails at home.
@@stacyholmes9552 yes tax deductions are wonderful things (but do they work the same in Canada as the states?)

Thank you for your videos for all of us at home who are learning.

the best thing about the internet is that we're learning things at a younger age, doing things better because professionals are telling us what to keep in mind, sharing their knowledge. our only roadblock is cost at this point because of the wealth of knowledge on the internet. with online shopping, too, you can get things quick and sometimes even cheaper than in store products. it's great. we're becoming professionals at younger ages
Ibd is actually a pretty good line, long lasting. Many professionals uses it

I'm 13 and I've been doing my own acrylics for about a month and I learned everything from youtube, and now they look like I got them at the salon. I'm also going to start doing my friends nails for money
19:50 she said "the Suzie toss" 😂😂🙌❤😭 Love y'all!!!
What wattage is the lamp :) I have a 9 watt lamp but I want to start using the hard gel and thought ibd might be a good place to start
Haili I’m not sure. You can look at Walmart. They may have them.
Target may have the lamp too.
you can buy a decent lamp on Amazon.
I agree that the Suzie toss is a highlight! It does look therapeutic 🤗💅
