@@tankslapmoto9999 Yes please! I'm trying to learn how to do them. I keep letting off the gas to quickly and heavy landing. I'll get there. Just 50 & a bad back and my wife keeps bitching about me acting 20!
Great bike mate. May i ask what your method of holding on is🤣 Ive noticed on your anti lift video your legs weren't gripping the tank, yet your throttle hand seemed relaxed. When i do that on mine i feel like im gonna slide backwards. I either grip the tank with my legs, or hold on too tight with my arms ( Which im trying not to do) you dont seem to do either. How do you hold on🤣👍
Yeah, it has happened a few times but it means you can slide the rear, which is fun. I unlock the abs in the beginning of one of our older videos ruclips.net/video/KY-1-b0X7Ks/видео.html
Jeje✌
@@tankslapmoto9999 have you got a link to the Brembo master cylinder you used? Also which switch did you use so could keep the use of cruise control? Thanks
Oddly enough they don't bother me, I know they are not the prettiest but I am kind of over the whole bar end mirror thing and I'm enjoying being able to see whats behind (gotta watch out for old Johnny Law). Maybe I will change my mind in time🤣
Indeed, she sold in a day😔 I would have liked to have kept it but my biking journey must continue... Hopefully have a new ride in the next couple of weeks. Just need to decide what to buy, im leaning towards 4 cylinders but should they be in a V or should they have a supercharger.
Cheers👍, other bikes might handle sweeter, look better, make more horsepower etc... but few bikes capture the fun factor of riding a motorcycle quite like this one, in my humble opinion.
@@tankslapmoto9999 My view is that bikes are supposed to be about fun, there aren’t many that much more fun than the MT09SP. The one I could say is the 1290 duke, but I think I’d lose my licence, possibly do a bit of jail time if I had that to long 😂😂
I have previous version of MT09 and it is an amazing fun factory! I added 15T front sprocket and braided brake hoses & EBC sintered pads + steering dumper ( just to mention a few ) and the bike is nuts!
Bought mine in November same model as yours and received a letter today from Yamaha Europe saying there’s a recall for the ECU to be modified because of stalling or limited throttle response.
I got the same letter today, never had any issues with my bike but the way the world is, with safety and the fear of being sued, they are probably doing a recall out of caution. I spoke to the dealer today, 5 minute job apparently.
Mine completely died on me at a junction last week so the letter was good timing for me. Enjoying your videos and the suspension setting you did very helpful many thanks. Enjoy your summer.
I never have any problems with it to be honest, best QS I've used. I don't really use the QS between 1st and 2nd that much (just for mechanical sympathy) unless I'm putting the bike under load/in the midrange of the rpm's or above, then I will happily use it from 1st to 2nd. The reason being is that the ratio from 1st to 2nd is the widest in the gearbox, so it is very hard to get a smooth shift unless you are higher in the rpm's. In my experience it is best to avoid qs between 1st and 2nd at low rpm or on a partial throttle, they all prefer being under load/harder acceleration👍
@@tankslapmoto9999 not had any issues in other gears upshifting, it's my first bike with quickshifter just need to get used to it. Using the quickershifter is so much fun for hard accelerations its addictive :D
That can happen if you are lower in the RPM and aren't giving it tons of throttle. The engine doesn't have much momentum. It is a good idea to learn to get smooth manually shifting 1 to 2 and back to 1. I like the smaller jerks. Makes the machine feel mechanical and not smooth and boring.
the beast is back!!
Indeed!😆
More corner exit wheelies please!

One of the reviewers (I think MCN) when it first came out said if you wheelie it long enough the ABS will turn off.

Me gusta esta moto por lo divertida que parece y con lo fácil que es levantar la rueda delantera solo con abrir gasss!!
Sí, hace caballitos con el acelerador como pocas bicicletas en las que he montado, ¡incluso en la 3ra marcha!

Was out on mine earlier. Had daughter on back today. She loved it, but complained about the seat being too hard 🤣
Ah nice, I can remember being on the back of my Dad's bike when I was a kid, great memories👍
My comfort seat is on backorder

Yeah it does need tending to😃

I've got a gen 1 mt09 the engines so good, thinking of upgrading the brakes like you did, done most other things.
Is that nut on your forkclamp an aftermarked one? The 2022 model has a chrome finish one and I hate it :D
So I was just wondering if you replaced that
Hi yes, it's the Gilles one from the official Yamaha accessories catalogue. I wasn't a fan of the original chrome one, thought it looked a bit 1970's

Did you have to change the rear shock spring?
No changes to the rear shock, the standard spring rate was in range for my weight👍
Do you ever have any problems with upshifting using quickshifter? Mine is usually smooth but sometimes it upshifts with a jerk from 1st to 2nd gear.

Are u pulling those off the throttle or u popping the clutch?
The one in the opening sequence was using the clutch👍
Turn off traction control all together its easy to do
