Maybe someone could make a version of iQue @ Home where it forwards to a archived version of the website. (Via the Internet Archive.)
+Ultimate_Gamer C25 I think you're right, now that the service is gone people might try to get around the software lock. Again you can download 1 version of the ique software which contains the games they are just encrypted.
So would there be a way to get around the encryption? The iQue looks really nice & convenient.
web.archive.org/web/20031215125041/www.ique.com/ Just if this helps.
Retro Game Players Plus someone should make a DSi Shop backup before its too late.
Well I don't know how to do it, but I would think it's possible if somebody looked at it who knows about stuff like that.
That's insane how you not only got a mostly in box iQue, but also have a decent amount of iQue cards, formerly unused.
It's not that difficult if you have contact with the right people in china haha
@@LordS20000 Yeah you're right, since I known no one over there lol. I only got some games from there once imported here for an obscure console that were Chinese versions of the games rarely documented, it's called the V.Smile. I somehow managed to get an iQue, but don't have any of the cables to use it.
Loved this video. The iQue is such an enigma. Reminds me of those hotel gaming kiosks
Totally, I remember seeing different versions throughout the years in hotels. I definitely remember a "in room" n64 controller or something. Glad you liked the video man! !
Fantastic video buddy, thanks for making this for use,
you know you love the headache when its come to working out how to get the unit to work. i'd be the same as you, never give up until its working fully, that's awesome you still have valid cards, and you scratched one off for us XD. really cool and very helpful video, youtube needs videos like this. great job buddy!
Hey you bet man! ! It was fun to make and I just had to get these things redeemed in case they expire some day. Thanks for the awesome compliment buddy!!
The first game in the list is Animal Crossing. I still hope to own an iQue one day with Animal Crossing installed. It think it’s harder now than ever to transfer games though. Really enjoyed the video.
Right on thanks! Yeah it's a really cool system, surprisingly fun to play around with.
I had never heard of this before until Rerez mentioned it in a recent video of his. Man, that was a substantial amount of effort to get it working! Looking forward to seeing how the games are!
Yeah the Rerez video reminded me I needed to get it setup!! I was starting to think the cards might expire but they all worked thankfully. thanks for watching man!
Love obscure gaming consoles like this. Looking forward to seeing the games :)
Awesome yeah the stranger the better, well in most cases lol
i cant find the videos of game-play on your channel have you recorded them yet?
MikeyPlays Games No sorry I will though, I moved and everything got super crazy. But I will make a point to record some gameplay in a couple weeks.
Retro Game Players ok cool i will stay tuned
It's cool to see all the hoops you had to jump through to get this device working. Personally though I'll stick to my N64 for simplicitys sake. ;)
Haha yeah most of the videos I'd seen of it seems like nobody is actually playing or setting it up, so I figured I'd better dive in deep. X) I love the n64, some of my favorite gaming memories ever, and it's so crazy to see the games in Chinese!
The servers were still up in 2016? That's nuts. I wonder if they're still up now.
now we have ique emulator on project 64 and search how to play ique games on pc
NICE!!
It seems as if he's trying to figure out ancient technology.
I feel like I was too lol
Great video.
I just have one question, when "building" the new power adapter.... I just want to know if the 5V+ goes to the center (positive tip) of the adapter.
Thanks
Sergio Osorio Yes the +5 is in the middle. Good luck! I'll be doing some more iQue gameplay videos soon.
Very cool. I've always wanted one of these
+Crazy Joe Yeah it's pretty dope, I love playing Star Fox on it.
+Retro Game Players dear god that looked insanely difficult to figure out. Such a payoff
+Crazy Joe Yep I think that's why I couldn't find many videos online of how to do this, but yeah it was pretty awesome to get the games actually running on the tv. thanks for watching man!
where did you buy the cards to get the games
Robert Kiekuth Actually they came with the iQue, I just asked the seller if they could provide cards for all the games. In the comments below his username on ebay is mentioned.
Retro Game Players thanks
awesome tutorial bro retro game rule
thank you keep wowing, indeed they do! !
So is there now absolutely no way to get Oot for the iQue since you can't redeem it or download it? Shame cause I was tempted to buy one.
There is a community that is working on some aspects of modding. Not sure where the limits are but I think it could be a possibility down the road.
With hope. I actually messaged a seller saying if I bought could Oot be pre-installed on it via depot or whatever but he wouldn't go for it.
I hear Bed fur day I use a virtual machine for XP I also use a voltage converter also I was wondering where did you get the cards from just wondering also love the video bro
+Joseph King Yep good 'ol Conker! The step up transformer is something I forgot to mention, I do have one of those but wanted to make something that could travel with me easily. The cards I got from a ebay seller who also sells the ique. I think most of those sellers can send them to you if you contact them. Thanks for watching! !
Buy them online
Thanks for the video, you are awesome :)
Cool you're welcome! !
Awesome video man. I just got my hands on one of these bad boys. I can't believe how comfortable it is! Where did you purchase your games? I would love to be able to play more than Dr Mario.
Yep these are an awesome controller layout for sure! ! I would ask any ebay sellers who are currently selling them. You should be able to get the cards from them. To them they are pretty easy to get.
+Retro Game Players
So games that are playable are stored on the card, and other games are compressed on the console? How much storage does each have? How does he compression/decompression work?
Is the PC only used for accessing the server? Can you save the game files to the PC?
Yeah the games that you load on the iQue are on the unit itself. The games vary in size, but generally you can get about 4 loaded up. I have no idea how the compression works. Yes once I unlocked the games, they are stored on my computer and will only work with my particular system. So now even with the service gone I can swap out the games to and from my PC.
+Retro Game Players
What's the memory card for then? So if your PC breaks, you lose all the games now that the server is gone? You should back those up.
BlueAcid9 Here is what I think the memory cards is used for. It not only stores the games within the memory, 4 or 5 at a time depending of game size but it also contains the keys that once unlocked allow for the game to be transferred back and forth to a pc. So yes while I do backup the data on the win 98 machine, in theory if I installed the iQue complete installer (already has the games downloaded but encrypted) then I wouldn't need to reenter any of my game codes because the memory card stores the keys for each game allowing it to be unlocked and transferred. That's what I think is going on.
this is hectic cool
Thanks!
I heard the Ique@home service will end this year. Dont know if its true though.
Yeah that seems like it could happen
Retro Game Players Yeah I checked the official website and it ends december 31
Wow, yeah I am glad I got the games downloaded to my computer.
oh boy, did this happen 2016 or this upcoming december? i need to get an ique soon.
qliz it already happened. The service was shut down. You cant purchase games or redeem codes for it.
Does this have memory expansion built in?
Nice man :)
thanks bro!!
Where do you buy those cards?
+Tit Nutz I got them when I ordered mine awhile back, but I think if you go on ebay and find any sellers that are selling the units you can message them and ask if they will sell you the cards. Most likely they will because they are easy to get in China.
i found one person but he only emails you the code.
+Tit Nutz Hmm, yeah I specifically had to ask for the cards. mostly cause I wanted those, but they didn't really understand why I wanted them, I had to explain I'm a collector.
thats y i want the cards too. was the seller named kuanyu2007 that shipped the cards to you?
Tit Nutz yes I think that was him, is he not offering to do that for you? The only reason I had asked him was because I had read that most sellers who sell these will do it if you ask. So when I ordered my unit I asked for all the cards too.
is that Chinese music from the console? so cool
So Nintendo is still supporting this? There has to be some network to make sure that codes cannot be reused, right?
Yeah the website is still up, and yes once a code is used it is done.
What would you charge to get my iQue up and running?
Well it's not really a service I am doing, but you would want to start with getting a WIN XP system going. Plus if you have someone do this, you can't swap out games. So you really need to get a Win XP PC and then that way you can change out games.
@@RetroGamePlayers could you use a virtual machine
Does a link exist to your intro music theme ?
aeonfluxx100 No I do my own music so I've been working on other game covers and if I ever release an album the title song will be on it.
the ban on video games in China was lifted on 2015
wow cool I didn't know that!
how do i dump ique install games as z64 file?
Can the rooms be injected?
Not yet but there is a community working on enhancements like that
By any chance do you have the dimensions to the console?
why cant there be an emulator for this?
Yeah hopefully soon this could happen
Cool intro
+Tit Nutz Thanks!
yup
I thought about buying one onetime but I was like 350$ NOPE this is why I gave up on n64 people are willing to pay to much
the original N64 and the games are spendy for sure. I got this ique for 99 from China, or the mainland lol.
Electrics it’s a lot cheaper now.
