This isn't going to happen overnight. Bear in mind Tesla cars can practically drive themselves, I'd imagine that these "flying cars" will be mostly automated, if not entirely. This doesn't mean there won't be regulatory and technological hurdles to overcome but given what Tesla has achieved thus far, nothing would surprise me if this becomes a reality 10-15 years from now.
