Simply sublime. A beautiful piece. It's a pity we don't have smell-a-vision, because the aroma of the wood as its being turned must be wonderful!

Nice touch making the bottom and lid recessed. Like a real whiskey barrel. White oak too! Curious if white oak is native your country? You alway use such exotic hardwoods for your projects. Nice project!

Beautiful sir. It looks like a keg that sat on the end of my Father's bar when I was young. His sat on it's side in an x-frame like a small sawbuck. It had a wooden tap on the front. The back opened up and he kept money in it. But when opened you could still smell the whiskey that had been in it in days gone by. My sister owns it now.

    Love your the barrel design.
A set of that design in 3 or 4 sizes would make great set of rustic style kitchen canisters. Plastic canisters can fit inside to keep the inside of the wood nice.
A bigger size would make a great ice bucket for on somebody’s bar area, again it can be lined with a plastic bucket too.

I absolutely love that your tool selection and quality of has improved! FANTASTIC! Now please get better angle jigs!. Get the wedgie stuff, at least the jigs. Seeing you off that much and having to REWORK parts
Is hard to watch ESPECIALLY when you have this great talent. 1/4 of a degree off times 24 pieces adds up to a large issue. PEASE GET BETTER MEASURING TOOLS. It will cut down on the extra work needed to complete these ABSOLUTELY beautiful projects. AWESOME STUFF!😊

@Mayuko Wood Turning I like you am a self taught wood worker. If I had someone to instruct or guide I'd be further along. Hear in the states ( at least me) we try to help fellow wood workers. That's all I'm trying to do. No criticism just a brother helping a fellow brother. How (if I can) could I or anyone send you anything to help your channel and your talent.

Excellent work! I do have a suggestion. My first segmented project was a stave constructed compote (30-40 years ago) just about the size of your keg. It also has a solid wood bottom and lid. Because of the expansion/contraction across the grain after 3-4 years the side of the vessel split. I had noticed that the lid fit perfectly in the spring and fall but was too tight in summer and winter. I now put "floating" bottoms in my segmented vessels; and don't fit my lids quite so tight. There are some RUclips videos regarding floating bottoms.
