Yan Dev shot himself in the foot when developing these mechanics imo. It always bothered me that other students care so much over you carrying ordinary objects. It makes no sense logically (WHO thinks carrying a dumbbell into a training room is suspicious??), and gets in the way of the gameplay. He needs to change up things like these, because it's a problem now, and it's only going to become a bigger problem.
The martial arts club is about sparring and hand to hand combat, not about working out. So, yeah, I think it would be a little odd if someone ran into the room carrying a dumbbell. If dumbbells are only in the gym then what's odd about taking notice of somebody taking them from the gym and running around a school with them?
Carrying a mop is normal I mean maybe someone left it somewhere and you’re taking it back to it’s location. You could be working out with teh dumbbells.
Any student can hold the dumbbell or the wrench without being seen as weird because they're putting it away. The reason Ayano can't is because the headmaster and student council find her suspicious since she's Ryoba's daughter. Even if she was found innocent, the fact that her mother was accused has made the students suspicious of her
There's literally so many things they could add to the game, besides Jay's sewer idea. - Male target (either as a boy has an interest in Senpai or as in being his bsf) that is i guess always by his side and kind of doesn't like Ayano, - An admirer for Ayano ( the turns have tabled and Ayano could use this person for her own interest, as in he could talk to senpai and find our what kind of girl he likes or something like that), - an elimination method that has something to do with going on the computer in Ayano's room (like either finding info on her rival or sending threats, etc..), - The ability to 'break into' school at night or something in order to either prepare a trap for the next day or maybe spray paint something, etc... - similair to the sewer thing maybe Ayano could use a screwdriver to sneak through vents into idk.. locked rooms' or just to be undetected if there were cameras around. i'll edit this if i think of any other ideas.
Those are all such great ideas, too bad Yandev is so into his own ego he doesn't even take any sort of suggestions or feedback into account. Even if he did I'd bet they'd be executed super poorly

it's also important to take into account the fact that there's still 9 rivals to go. going with your examples: - going on the computer to find info about/sabotage your rivals can be a rival-specific elimination method. i imagine you can sabotage amai's parents bakery's reviews or expose muja (teacher rival) online causing her to be fired. it's a cool idea, but if immediately the first rival has this elimination and everyone else will to, it won't be so special - breaking into school at night is also really cool, but it could be more interesting with some other rivals. for example, sneaking into school at night a day before kizana's stage to sabotage her. or finding out oka sneaks into school at late night to try summon a demon (in which the computer idea earlier can be used!) and then getting her into trouble, either with the demon or with the headmaster lol - remember that daily conversation the basu sisters have during lunch time? on one of the days they said that after 6pm maintenance people come to fix/clean areas that aren't accessible to normal students during cleaning time. if ayano learns this info she can use it to good use. i remember the dev referencing a mechanic in another stealth game (idr the name) where more parts of the school would open up so the player won't feel trapped or bored in the same location again and again. things like jay's sewer idea or the secret maintenance place is perfect for that. i imagine this method being for megami since she's the hardest and the granddaughter of the school founder in the first place. ayano hears basu sisters conversation, then goes undercover to find more info online about the school and its secrets, sneak into school at night to access the secret places while maintenance people do their things and sabotage a little something or find info about megami! it's difficult, detailed and requires a lot of thinking; the perfect something for a megami elimination! just to clarify i don't support the game's dev or anything, but with the ideas you've given i think they're better off used for other rivals instead of using everything on osana. that's all from my two cents!

Well, there are games that have been in development for at least almost over a decade made by giant companies that have the resources to pay thousands of skilled game devs and these games still aren't out yet, we just don't know how far into development they are or even if they are developed like HL3 or GTA VI, meanwhile YanDev has been showing progress on the game since 2014, so it's easier to judge the game on that, same thing is going on with 7 Days to Die, still remember playing it on my trash laptop back in like 5-6th grade, I'm in the middle of middle school and the game is still developed, and there's honestly nothing wrong with it as these games are fun in whatever state they're in, like Minecraft, developed since late 2000s, released in like 2010 or 11 and still developed and expanded
Honestly I find the concept kinda cool that there would be specific tasks for each club. Like maybe a person in the drama club needs you to bring them the wand prop or a mask, or a person in the cooking club needs you to bring them a knife (of course in typical yandere sim fashion, they are judging you the entire time you try pulling it out to give it to them). It'd definitely make befriending club leaders a lot more complicated and not as easy to do, especially since a lot of the rivals are leaders of a club. It'd add an extra layer to the befriending them elimination method.
Yandere Dev needs to tweak these tasks because everyone's acting weird ಠ_ಠ The general scenario of her walking/running around with a weapon doesn't make sense when she's doing a task. Also, the text should slow down or have a "next" option like other games (not everyone reads fast!)

All things considered, it seems like the tasks given are intended to act as a bit of a tutorial rather than anything explicitly complicated. Which makes sense since Osana is the first rival. Ideally the later ones would be much more complex.

I feel like if YanDev isn't willing to remove the effect of certain items being considered suspicious, he should apply the effect to everyone. Maybe you could plant a dumbbell or some other suspicious object so that when your rival carries it back to its spot, their reputation goes down. I don't think it makes sense to keep the mechanic this way; either you remove the suspicious effect altogether, or you apply it to everyone.

If you ever do yandare simulator challenges again I’ve got one: The collection challenge! 1: you have to kidnap all the rivals in 1980s mode 2: you have to do it without harming any other students, but there must be no witnesses 3: you can use the yakuza to… disappear… ONE rival (I’d suggest the model because she has a flock of guys behind her at all times) 4: the police can never be called 5 you do not need to kidnap the final rival, but if you don’t you have to befriend her. 6: if you fail any of the requirements you have to start over from the beginning. If you ever redo these tasks while playing, you can put a dumbbell in the weapon case (next to your shoe locker) and then drop the case right next to the weak dude, then talk to him and you won't be considered suspicious because the dumbbell is still hidden in the case! no need to take it out! Position the trap in front of one of the delinquents 3. As soon as the trap covers one of them in the gasoline, get in a fight with the delinquent the trap was used on 4. Beat them in the fight 5. Wait for it😏👍

All things considered, it seems like the tasks given are intended to act as a bit of a tutorial rather than anything explicitly complicated. Which makes sense since Osana is the first rival. Ideally the later ones would be much more complex.

I feel like if YanDev isn't willing to remove the effect of certain items being considered suspicious, he should apply the effect to everyone. Maybe you could plant a dumbbell or some other suspicious object so that when your rival carries it back to its spot, their reputation goes down. I don't think it makes sense to keep the mechanic this way; either you remove the suspicious effect altogether, or you apply it to everyone.

Hey jay! If you ever do yandare simulator challenges again I’ve got one:
The collection challenge!
1: you have to kidnap all the rivals in 1980s mode
2: you have to do it without harming any other students, but there must be no witnesses
3: you can use the yakuza to… disappear… ONE rival (I’d suggest the model because she has a flock of guys behind her at all times)
4: the police can never be called
5 you do not need to kidnap the final rival, but if you don’t you have to befriend her.
6: if you fail any of the requirements you have to start over from the beginning.

If you ever redo these tasks while playing, you can put a dumbbell in the weapon case (next to your shoe locker) and then drop the case right next to the weak dude, then talk to him and you won't be considered suspicious because the dumbbell is still hidden in the case! no need to take it out! hey Jay, I've got an interesting glitch for you to try. I know it works in the 3/11/22 build but I don't know if Yandere Dev has fixed it since then.
1. Set up the water cooler trap using gasoline
2. Position the trap in front of one of the delinquents
3. As soon as the trap covers one of them in the gasoline, get in a fight with the delinquent the trap was used on
4. Beat them in the fight
5. Wait for it😏👍

Game Suggestion: Ghostwire:Tokyo. It takes place in Japan. The background of the game: Japan is a modern place, building being constructed everywhere but Japan is also rooted historically. Full of folkore, evil spirits roaming the streets in the game like the slitmouth woman or kuchisake onna and it's your job to cleanse and destory those evil spirits. You also have to cleanse shrines. I've already seen other youtubers play it before but I wanted to see you play it because of your commentary. Please play itttt. Pls like this so jay can see it.
Man, that was way too much handholding imo. I mean, the quest/tasks literally spells out what exactly you have to do to clear it. It even tells you to hide the dumbbells inside a bucket. :/ Where is the challenge in that?
