This is basically caged guitar and works excellent for worship lead guitar because the shapes leave you right in the box shapes for lead parts. I use this a lot when playing lead electric.

You refraining from swells or ambience in the intro is something that shouldn't be brushed off. Not playing can be just as powerful in the mix as playing something that might sound good in your ears.
