This channel first started uploading Game Grumps content back in 2014. This content is not officially associated with the Game Grumps but I got permission to run it from them way back in 2015 and even Danny said he appreciated compilation channels sharing the love. This channel has had multiple editors over time who enjoy contributing to the community, some of the content is very outdated at this point but serves as an interesting look into an older era of RUclips. Plus the content holds up and it's worth watching the old stuff.

Every time Arin mentions his less-than-financially-stellar past I'm so glad to know he's making tons of mons now, with his friends and wife and bunches of fans. Scamming WalMart really paid off.

Fun fact about that first story! I used to work AP for Walmart, and I've had to send people to jail- fines AND actual real jail time- for doing exactly that. Its called return fraud, and if the amount is over $25 cumulative over how many times you do it (and they will check, pull video of every instance, if you're caught,) you will be charged both civilly for monetary damages and with felony theft, possibly felony trespass, and likely with ORC (organized retail crime) which is also a felony.
So, yeah. Good job not being a convicted felon, arin, because you very nearly were, whether you realize it or not.

I walked out when I was told a shoplifter we'd stopped would have her child taken by state CPS services to facilitate her going to lockup for the thirty bucks of whatever the fuck it was shed tried to walk out with. I don't have the stomach to do that to people. I went through the CPS system as a kid, I'm sure there are some decent and caring caseworkers out there, but I never met one.
And for the record, that wasn't sarcasm. Arin was fucking lucky, and I'm glad he got away with it, because in your late teens or early twenties, multiple felonies can fuck up the entire rest of your life.

If I remember rightly they tried dozens of Ultra Balls and they worked worse.
They can't work worse, it's all based on chance.
Watching this made me remember how much of an unfinished game Sonic Boom really was.
It's funny that I find this video compilation of 2015 better and laughed my ass off at it more so than the game grumps uploaded "best of 2015" compilation video ;D so great job man!

MikeyDooX Go forth and commit fraud young one. It would be harder now, they require ID for no receipt returns and you're only allowed to do a certain amount within a time frame.
jannecechmanek also, if you're caught, you get sued for civil damages, and brought up on charges of felony theft, felony ORC, and possibly felony trespass, if you do it multiple times. Also, each time you do it will be logged as a separate set of charges. You will actually go to jail, on top of the fines.

Tau Tauson I was being facetious. I don't think it's theft, but it's absolutely fraud. The thing that Arin did is almost impossible to get caught, because you would have to prove on the spot that he didn't buy those at Wal-Mart.
jannecechmanek they will attempt to do that, and the company does consider it theft. Returns over $50 or for specific items, usually electronics, will warrant the CSM doing the return to call the AP office, disguising the call so the customer doesn't get alarmed.
The AP guy or gal will then find the person attempting to make the return on camera, and use the previously recorder footage (48 hours on DVR, typically,) to track that persons movements through the store. Also to verify if the same person is making large scale or suspiciously repetitious returns in succession. And anyway, I figured you were joking, just saying for the benefit of people who might think this is a 'no harm, no foul' type way to make some money, it absolutely can land you in jail.
Tau Tauson So hold up, as long as the returns are under $50, they don't warrant a search? Y'know- assuming it's not done in repetition.
Also, if camera records are only kept for two days, would going once every three days limit their efforts to track repeated returns?
Just curious of course. But it sounds like that anyone that has personally worked in an AP position - like yourself - could take the knowledge of how to stay off of this sorta radar.
