Hello, I liked this video, I also changed the steering wheel from my audi a3 now I need to make this connector, so according with the others questions and answers I would like to know where can I get the harness like yours
Just bought a steering wheel following your guide but the black connector on the steering wheel colour scheme differs to your guide. Pin 1 is black, 2 is yellow and 3 is red. Your pin out guide says pin 1 is lin pin 2 is 12v and pin 3 is ground. I can’t see a red wire being ground?
Bogdan Tiberiu Nichiforiuc thanks. I followed your pin out and it lit up but couldn’t get the control unit I bought to work properly, gave airbag fault and horn didn’t work so I’m on the hunt for another. Thanks for your videos they have been most helpful.
@@nichiforiuc But Yellow connector PIN 8(LIN) and 9(12V) doesnt match with the 3 colored wires from the black connector on the steerwheel self wich is PIN 1(BLACK), 2(YELLOW), 3(RED). Looks like the formation on the black connector is diffrent.
@@nichiforiuc Look i bought a 4 spoke MF wheel that is from an Audi A6 with an Yellow/Purple Airbag Cable. That plug Wont fit in my Sleepring, i have Cruis Control and my Sleep Ring has 8 pins, 4 in the Upper Right Corner and 4 in the Under Left Corner. What do i need to make the steeringwheel work? Please help me. My car is an Audi A3 from the end of 2006 it has an standard 4 spoke wheel, the Airbag Cable plug color is Yellow/Purple. Do i need to buy an Airbag Cable MF for an Audi A3 2006? Will that make it work? Is it no problem also to insert the Airbag Cable Plugs in to an Audi A6 airbag?

Yes, the colours are different. I didn't find that harness on the market, so I made it myself. It is made by me.

Is it possible to use the black plug from a Audi A6 Airbag Cable? That one has a lot of black wires in it, can you help me?
Yes, you can use it, but you have to use only 3 wires. You need to cut the other 3 wires.

Hi, can you tell me what the little black wire is that comes out of the airbag harness and connects to the part where you screw in the airbag?
Can you be more specific? Maybe it can help : www.audi.homeradiatorsreview.com/airbagcable.html
If the wire is black, is Ground(-).
The problem is ,where we can find the black connector ,with three wires?
Old printers, old faxes, old computers...
Thanks,I start excavation!
What tool do you use to remove the pins from the connector?
Follow the link in description for mor details.
@@nichiforiuc I did, you dont actually show you pulling the wire out of the connector. How do you release the pin to pull the wire out?
I used a needle and a toothstick to push out the purple pin. After I took out the purple plastic pin, all the pins are released.
@@nichiforiuc Ok thank you for the response, I pulled the purple piece out but the pins wont release. I'll keep trying . Thanks again!
