    BitWig is a fantastic sound design tool. I just spent a week using nothing but built-in plugins to create things, it's been an absolute joy. I've not touched anything from my NI Komplete library the entire time, and I've been able to re-create most of my favourite signature sounds.

    • @Spasciz

      I know right!! I have spent so much time that playing with the stock plugins & effects!! It’s literally all in one!! Great point!!!

  • @soundsfromYYBY

    honestly all you need is one VST which is Presence in studio one...that provides any sound you need plus add more sounds to it..from real sounds to fake sounds.

    I saw something back in like 2017-18 that deadmau5 was using it, and i was wanting to learn other programs outside of FL and Garageband. I got Ableton and then right after finally got bitwig. the flow felt so good reminded me when I was taught to make music on a MPC with sequencing. making hip hop and electronica I really was surprised how much people didn't tap into this DAW, stock sounds and plugins you can get to work, the pianoroll offer everything loved in other DAW. I recommend this to everyone and the only I dislike is the update plan but I mean from 1 to 4 now it's felt to be continuously new

      Yes, I'm like weeks new and I have saw Bitwig in passing but never thought to try it....then I did the 30 day trial just looking for something different and fell in love with it!! There is so many things that make sense to creating music!!! I am diving and will be making more videos!!! Thanks for the feedback!!!

    Wasn't Bitwig made by someone who was a developer of Abalten? Bitwig looks like Ableton 11 with graphics.

      Yea pretty close, there is a couple things that separate the two

  • @Ast3rixMusic

    It's cool that you found a DAW with a smoother workflow!! That is how I feel about Ableton. Once I got into it and really started using all the areas it really opened my eyes to what I was missing. It keeps getting better with the updates. I hope they adopt the isolated vst handling that Bitwig has... it would be a game changer. Having a lot of vst's is a pain when they don't play well with your DAW. A backend re-write is more than likely something that really needs to happen to clean up 20 years of coding changes in api's and other backend code tools probably are needed.

    • @Spasciz
      @Spasciz  2 года назад +1

      Yes, this workflow is way more creative for me…the whole setup is just insane!! So much creativity in one daw!!!

    • @DJ_NEUROSTORM
      @DJ_NEUROSTORM Год назад +1

      I found you can do creatively more on Bitwig than you can on Ableton but their not too different from each other I heard Ableton does a little work for Bitwig...Bitwig can also read Ableton projects as well as pro tools and FL not sure about studio one. I also use Traction Waveform Pro and I notice Bitwig can use Wavforms Plugins not sure if it can with other daws though

    The FX and modulations are sick, plus I love how you can create track templates and drag in sections of it as you need. The big problem is the price, its crazy expensive. You have to update every year for $150 or you get cut off. At least with Studio One you're good for 3-4 years before you need to upgrade, and updates and support is free, plus updates are a lot cheaper too.

    • @Spasciz
      @Spasciz  2 года назад +1

      I definitely understand that!!! If it allow me to make more money due to what I can create, I will make up the difference to make that yearly payment….but I do understand if you say naw…I’m going to stay away from that fee every year!!! Good stuff!!!

    • @KnzoVortex
      @KnzoVortex 2 года назад +2

      Nah u just gotta understand the kinda philosophy. Think of it this way. Lots of DAWs (like my old one Logic) only release major updates every couple of years, leaving users with more or less the same software for ages. But in each new release, they add like a whole bunch of things, repeat cycle. The difference with Bitwig is that they honestly be releasing so much crazy new ish all the time, it's basically the opposite of this. But the only thing is, you get to choose whether or not you want all the brand new stuff instantly, (maybe there's a new feature that you're absolutely dying to have, and this way you don't have to wait) or you can chill with your version for a while longer as if this were a more conventional marketing-based update scheme and upgrade after a year or years and you feel like it's time. And if you use this mindset, Bitwig always be having sales for the upgrade plan anyways, so you should never have to pay the whole $150, unless, as I said, you're really dying to have the newest update for one reason or another.
      Overall it is probably more expensive than a lot of DAWs on the market, but I think it makes t least a bit more snese if you look at things this way.

    • @Spasciz
      @Spasciz  2 года назад +1

      @@KnzoVortex I agree with your whole premise…I don’t see a problem with it at all…you have the option and I like options!! This is good stuff, thank you!!!

    • @CybreSmee
      @CybreSmee 2 года назад

      @@KnzoVortex Mostly the updates are hotfixes, they only release big features one or twice per year (check the updates list). So unless you pay you dont get any of the fixes and zero support (you cant even email them, they wont reply). I can understand paying for new features, but fixes and basic updates should be free - the software does cost nearly $400 to buy rememeber. You can get tech support for Studio One v1, plus any updates. All DAWs are like that except BW.

    • @reptilespantoso
      @reptilespantoso 2 года назад +3

      NOPE! when you don't pay for the new development that year, you get to keep and use what you already paid for. you're NOT "cut off".
      so you could skip a year and then pay 140$ for 2 years of new stuff.
      it's now so complete that you can say you don't have to do upgrades, but I do that anyway, cause it's worth it. (compared to buying plugins)

    Bitwig has the greatest workflow I have ever experienced from FL, Reason, Ableton, and S1 then I ended up in Bitwig! Having a launchpad, and or launchkey with moss scripts is a whole new world for me! I’ve had it for almost a year and don’t like going back to any of my old daws especially for creation! I only had the Artist version of Studio One so Mixing and mastering I don’t miss from but like you said still a great daw! Sick beat btw those hats are so crazy! Makes me want to step up my game now! I can definitely relate with you on this video💯

    im the next ! i have sooo much truble with cakewalk by bandlab that i have no other choice and maybe bitwig xould be my choice so let me tell ya what i am doing so that you may advise me if this is what i should go for or not
    i do less VO ( voice overs ) then i did a time ago but i still do those
    and i make music mostly pop and here and there some edm tracks
    can you tell me how good this daw would be for me and how much new do i have to learn

    • @Spasciz
      @Spasciz  2 года назад

      I think Bitwig would be perfect for a couple of reasons!! So with VO….they have “Comping” which will allow you to create takes and between the takes for a certain scene that you’re voicing for….it will allow you to take the best take in parts to make one complete scene!! (Don’t know if I made sense) lol!! I will post a video to show what I am talking about.
      Also, when it come down to creating music….the scenes in Bitwig will allow you to come up with ideas and really put them together!! So many ideas that can be created!!! Great option for a Daw!!!

      As someone who’s learning Bitwig and main DAW is Ableton, why is that you think? I’m intrigued to find out why.

    • @rez9159
      @rez9159 Год назад

      When it comes to mixing workflow Live is still superior to Bitwig. Bitwig won't let you solo or mute multiple selected tracks at once without using the inspector. So i have to open the inspector separately to do solo all at with one click or solo track per track. Despite that i like the UI and modifier options, but to use it for mixing they have to fix the solo / mute thing in order to have a competitive workflow.

    • @bjrobertson5683
      @bjrobertson5683 10 месяцев назад

      No, you can solo or mute multiple selected tracks at once without using the inspector. Just go to shortcuts and remap it to what you want. Currently I have S to solo and M to mute tracks.... select multiple or 1 at a time.@@rez9159
