Recent recipient of a fresh S62 V8, Sean added an ESS Tuning Supercharger and methonol injection kit to his beloved Avus blue 2000 BMW E39 M5. The E39 M5 is one of our favorite BMW sedans, especially with the Getrag manual transmission equipped from the factory.
The BBS LM wheels fit the car perfectly.
During this drive, we chat about the history of the car, why Sean bought an E39 M5, recent upgrdes, and future modifications planned.

Love the e39 chassis no matter what color it always looks aggressive esthetically you don’t have to do much to make these cars looks well just lower it with some wheels and your good

I’d assume 18” wheels, I’ll have to ask him next time I see him. Would love to film another one now that he’s got the suspension all dialed in.

I don’t think he’s interested in selling. He just put a new motor in + ESS supercharger. He’s going to keep this one forever, most likely.

Sounds like the shop soaked him for a new VANOS unit, bent his valves & destroyed the timing chain during a botched install , then swapped engine that he sourced. Brutal.
Definitely not the best experience from what I gather. They are usually solid though
Same thing happened to me. Supercharger install on E46 and completely botched the install. Oil spraying into all parts. Even air filter soaked. $$$ repair, and shop owner left country after he hosed me and several other customers at the same time. Like Rick James said 'Cocaine is a helluva drug.'

Aesthetics are subjective, sure. If you like OEM, that’s reasonable.
Quality-wise, BBS makes OEM wheels for BMW. These are incredibly strong, light, and well made.

@@TiesTorN Well its your opinion, but this setup he has made me fall in love with lms... Because i was not a fan of those very much. But these specs, tires, awesome! There is an imola red in uk on youtube with supercharger (evolve channel) and that looks meh... But this. This is something! I myself ride a lowered 530i imolanred with black style 65 with spacers. Would most deffo exchange for these in a heart beat ❤
