    You fly the hell out of that heli. All the way to the edge. They had to reinforce the frame knowing that you were going to get that one. Sharp, crisp, perfect flight.

    Video doesn't do this justice. Something like this needs to be experienced in person. Love the battle axe chop!

    What headspeed is he flying at???

  • @artconnolly9519
    @artconnolly9519 10 лет назад

    It's actually a very simple explanation. The blades simply reverse pitch to enable inverted flight. During a routine like he just flew he probably reversed his pitch 1000 times. And BTW nothing fake or photo shopped in that video. He Flys amazing and is well know in the rc heli community. And to some he's considered the best.

    Tareq, Im always amazed...your brain is wired differently!, I couldn't 'learn' to do what you can do indistinctly in 100 years!!...its strangely relaxing to watch! good stuff bro!

    What Happens to your lipos when youre flying like this? Saw a video of Bert kammerer flying your Goblin. After the flight the battery Must have been pretty hot and it was much thicker. Can you use them again? Regards

    Can someone explain to me how it maintains altitude when it's flying upside down?

    • @Tobias5786
      @Tobias5786 10 лет назад +4

      Flat rotor blades and the ability to change the blade pitch so that they provide negative lift.

    • @grits011
      @grits011 10 лет назад

      Tobias W. Kjeldsen That's just wicked.

    • @RobBulmahn
      @RobBulmahn 10 лет назад

      Tobias W. Kjeldsen Actually, they don't even needed to be flat. Even asymmetrical, cambered airfoils can provide lift at negative angles of attack. In this instance, it'd just be a matter of pushing the collective down, rather than up, while flying upside-down.

    • @neil78b
      @neil78b 10 лет назад

      Because the blades can twist, so when the heli goes upside down they remain right side up, so to speak.

    • @cymonaretz6022
      @cymonaretz6022 10 лет назад

      neil78b
      The blades are a symmetrical airfoil and the blade pitch is controlled on one stick from a negative value at one end of stick travel, zero degrees pitch when the stick is centered and a positive pitch value at the other end of travel. For example with stick at top = +13 degrees pitch on the main blades, center stick = zero degrees pitch and bottom stick = -13 degrees pitch. If the Heli hovers upright at say roughly +6 degrees then if the heli is inverted then it should hover inverted at -6 degrees. Hope that explains things a little for those that dont understand how these awesome machines can do what they do.
