They're a very dynamic group. Their music has evolved a couple times. Im not sure about the 90s, but their style of early 2000s was different than that of the laste 2000s, and I quite enjoyed both. Now we hace this other style, and I'm quite enjoying it. Will.I.am and the group are very creative ppl, and I'm sure they love to experiment with new genres amd styles.

Black eyed peas once again proving they can still make hits without fergie while going in a different musical direction, talk about versatility
I think they briefly had difficulty breaking past that situation but they did eventually and I'm happy for that.
Let's be honest, Ritmo had JBalvin, this has Ozuna... They are not doing hits by themselves. I'm not gonna mention the fact that they went into full latin music because is the trend right now. Because they went from Hip Hop to Electronic music and still they could make hits, from Shut Up to I Gotta Feeling. But this songs are more successful thanks to the latin artists than by themselves. I love Black Eyed Peas, they are one of my favorites artists, but I really can't stand they losing their real essence.
I understand, they need an income. They made a few good hip hop songs a two years ago like Ring The Alarm, but the Internet didn't really appreciate them like this newer songs. So if they look forced to make this kind of music to bring the food to the table I understand. Still, I miss the real Black Eyed Peas who were able to make hit after hit without any collaboration.
Fergie was a really important piece of the group. Elephunk was their first album on being a commercial success, she was part of it. The strong female voice on the team was crucial for the group for getting that cherry on the top if u know what I mean.
Anyway, I hope they could get back where they belong doing great bangers with their own essence, Hip Hop, Electronic Music, and of course Latin and Phillipino grooves representing Taboo and Apl roots.
Tbh I prefer them more with Fergie

It's crazy how Black Eyed Peas came back hard and better than ever bruh. Dammmnnn. I'm happy for them they deserve it. All that hard work finally paid off big time.
They never really went away, they were just on hiatus for awhile. Because Taboo had to undergo chemotherapy. And the reason their last album flopped was because it was more of a politically charged hip hop protest record which their label didn’t like and it didn’t go over too well with the fans either. So now they’ve gone back to what they do best: making pop music
