It’s actually fucking tragic what happened to Erik, but coming back to these Fistful performances reminds me of just how much of a talented and passionate artist he was. Rest well comrade :’)
It's funny how he said about the dog howling at the end of the song bc I have this memory... I was listening to a mischief brew song in my car one time with my dog in the backseat. It was a open highway, I had the windows down and the sun was just starting to set making the sky a beautiful orange. As the song is playing my dog climbs up near me and starts howling with the song as I'm singing along. One of my favorite memories ❤️ Even dogs can't help but sing a long when they hear Erik singing his tunes
I sincerely believe Erik's music saved my life and was the only thing that kept me going when I hit my bottom on Vancouvers DTES. Forever grateful for his music. RIP Erik
Every so often I like to pay my respects by playing along and getting out the good bottle of whiskey. Rest in peace Erik, you had a way with words that not many can match.
Erik was and will forever be such an outstanding artist/vocalist/troubadour/raconteur/musician...and carpenter/wood worker. I will listen to his various projects for months on end. Then, after I'm singing the lyrics while I'm asleep, take a break. Miss you #ErikPeterson So grateful that I had a chance to see you perform...and it was a solo show in Lake Worth. Forever will I: Always shout when spoken to. Curse my way through church and school. And mess around with father's power tools.
I'd put my guitar down for years until I heard Erik. I almost quit for good because I wanted to play in a band and no one wanted to play the music that I wanted to play.
+BransonnGames What are you doing to help change that? Punk rock didn't just happen in one day. Maybe you aren't looking in the right areas...there are plenty of great bands from the IE that play shows all the time. The Logs, Narcoleptic Youth, Bad Ass...just to name a few.
+Keith Morris Yo it's alright fam I was just talking about the radio. Some of those bands are alright, but the music I really like tends to play 2 hours away. No biggie.

Rest in power, comrade!
