It would seem as though a lot of people don't realize that playing what you feel is a major part of making music, which is what these guys are doing. Some people may call it "stealing material" from other artists, but I think of it more as "being influenced," because I love the music they're making here. You don't always need notes on staff paper to play a song, and just playing what you feel is a great way to express yourself, musically.
@DogBoi1692 I wasn't expecting to hear back from them till the 31 of jan.. but this year they decided to send out letters early to like 150 people... i was just lucky i guess. you applying?
Nice jamming there! thanks for posting - question - What happens at 4.25? it sounds cooool:) like a scott henderson-run or something? what kind of chromatic thing is it? greetings from sweden! / Peter
haha !! i fully agree with this!! He is in fricking Berklee !! the worlds best music college! He could at least do some amazing bass runs or something :3
this is a crash stacker ,its either a splash on top of the crash or under it..u can try as many combinations you like jajaj lol tried crsh under ride. china under crash , splash under ride etc etc etc. EFX cymbals are the best for this thngs,.
They're playing in a 3/4 tempo as opposed to the common 4/4 That's why it seems so "weird". Sounds awesome to me tho! Shows some skill. Nice change of pace from the radio stuff! Good to see there's still real musicians out there.
I can appreciate being corrected with proper information, moreso than just being yelled at that I'm wrong. Thanks jim boby zappa I wasn't sure if it was 3/4 or 6/4 I just know this def wasn't a 4/4 tempo.
Dat rhythm section ! ... them dudes got a DEEP pocket working !

The guitar is on another level.

Chord to melody to rhythm to chops, everything.
Wonder where he is now.
I love the drums in this one, nice vibe!
Those chords are fucking epic sounding. The guitarists lead tone is amazing too.

One of the coolest 6's I've ever heard!!!! 5 Stars!!!

what guitar do the guitarist is playing on ?
what effects is the guitar using??? this is the sound i want!!!
what are the cymbals for the stack?
Wow, Thanks for the 2 string bass line. Brilliant musicians jamming and all this guy can give us is 8 minutes of buuuum bum.
Hey... wat time signature is this groove... 6/4?
the drummer has a good selection of cymbals
bravo
I believe it has to be two thin crash cymbals. if they were thick it wouldnt sound that lite and crisp.
this is a crash stacker ,its either a splash on top of the crash or under it..u can try as many combinations you like jajaj lol tried crsh under ride. china under crash , splash under ride etc etc etc.
EFX cymbals are the best for this thngs,.

+DavidRockbandDrummer yeah pretty sick :pp
This fusion feel I'm getting is too dirty.. Disclaimer: A shower WILL be needed after watching this.
@tullster28 congas, and the spelling depends on where you're from mate. Americans use a z, places like england, new zealand etc use s.
classic...brothers on rhythm, long haired shedder dude. Oh and the random congas guy.
the guitarist cool
need more cowbell
need more BlueBell
Rodrick Davis needs more bell-end
I literally cannot find words... They've gotta invent some new words to describe this...
my dude goes hammm
whatd he say the comments been deleted
what effect is he using
a harminoxer, some delay and possibly reverb
maxauto44e and I love that wah. The riff he did the wah kicked in sounds like something out of an eric johnson tune. dig it.
How does the bongos fit into the Jam?!
*congos it's a fusion jam
+Narendra Mantripragada How don't they man, sounds dirtyyyyyy
Can anyone identify the possible genre of this?
jazz latin funk fusion
LOOOOOOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@Kobe10032 maybe hes just not a very experienced bass player? me, a piano player can come up with quite a few things he could try doing
I hope you guys stuck together as a band after graduating. Umphreys Mcgee like
@tullster28 congas man bongos are small
I love it... a better mic would have been useful though.
Cant imagine you with a Splash, BuY OnE!?!?
wowowow
Where's the communication?
It's my dream to study here one day
killin
I likes that!
lets settle it guys. those drums are congas. definately not timbalis or bongoes.
