  • Almost finished with lowering the car on cut coils because I am a product of the 80's/90's when coilovers didn't exist and the only options were different springs, heated springs or cut springs. I've always found that cutting is the best way for a vehicle that still needs to corner well as it increases the springs rebound rate while lowering the ride height and as long as it's done properly i.e.; only taking maybe an inch of ground clearance away, the car won't suffer and usually remains within the factory range of alignment adjustments. OE replacement struts won't die a premature death if the drop is a conservative one either. But, its important to get new bump stops and to cut those new bump stops in half before install in order to prevent the struts internal plunger from bottoming out.
    But yeah where are people going for wheels? ill probably just get another set of Aero or Bassett wheels but if I can find 15x8/15x10 (in 4.5"/5.5" backspace) in aluminum for under 500 id go with that. idc what they look like as long as they arent super heavy and they fit good ^_^
