    6:17 Honestly when i heard Peter Mansbridge's voice as the Moose Newscaster I almost cried. For my non Canadian friends Peter Mansbridge is a Canadian Famous (someone who is well known in Canada but may not be well known elsewhere) newscaster who hosted CBC's (a Canadian News station) the National (tv program) for many years. Anyone who watched CBC probably saw Mansbridge famous "Im Peter Mansbridge and this is the National" catchphrase even if u didnt watch the news regularly plus some of us had Mansbridge's voice as a voice to fall asleep to on our phone (yes really. Mansbridge agreed to do this because he had been told so many times that his voice is so soothing it makes it easy to fall asleep and since his program was on at 10 pm a lot of people went to sleep with his voice in their head) Plus that spring Mansbridge announced his retirement so it meant extra for us Canadians to have his voice in a movie.

      The appeal to each country was a major push from the studio. Glad it resonated with you.

      @@ModernMouse how much Canadian culture reaches The States esp somewhere like California where it's far from border exposure like Buffalo or Detroit. For example do u guys know who Don Cherry and Terry Fox

    • @ModernMouse
      @ModernMouse  Год назад +1

      I've only heard those names because of Canadian friends. Otherwise, those names don't hold much weight in California and I'll assume most of the US.

    Zootopia is my favorite Disney movie.... Zootopia at this time is my favorite movie.

    • @ModernMouse

      It's still my favorite. I think about it at least once a week and the current US political climate only makes me think of it more. I also really liked the Zootopia+ series of shorts they did for Disney+

    Hahahaha, this is a great video. I love the cuts between that are not Disney. I laughed out loud with the famous slap.
    Definitely once again learned so much about Disney!
    Keep it going! I enjoyed your comic meanderings 😂

      Joe has been helping me write videos for a while and we've worked on trying to balance information with entertainment. I appreciate you noticing JJ. Thanks!

    I love this Josh once again as always awesome video Disney's The Lion King 1994 is my # 1 top favorite Disney animated film but I was initially surprised you put it as #5 but then again it made sense to put the Frozen movies at the top spot because they did technically make billions before The Lion King and its re-releases but me personally I wasn't a big fan of Frozen 2
    But I like forward to see your top worst list

    The Lion King (both)
    Frozen (both)
    Snow White
    Zootopia (surprisingly)
    101 Dalmatians (surprisingly)

    The two highest grossing animated films adjusted for inflation are Snow White & 101 Dalmatians.

    I was surprised to see The Lion King at nr.5, but I guess it makes sense, considering the rest of the list.
    I was also surprised to see 101 Dalmatians on the list. I personally love the movie, but I’ve seen people talk negatively about that era and the cheap (cheaper?) animation style.
    I guess I’m one of the few people who like the live-action The Lion King. Not as much as the original though, but I’ve seen worse movies.
    Can you do a video about your personal Top 5, or Top 10, Disney animated movies?

      I'll definitely do a personal top 5 sometime. I didn't want to start with that as I didn't know if that would even be something people wanted.

    OMG I am so glad you avoided all of those "live action" remakes. I've actually only seen the Lion King one, so can't really condemn the others sight unseen. But the way the Lion King remake sucked all the humor and fun from the original makes me wish I had also left it unseen.

      People have their preferences. I know plenty of folks that enjoy Frozen 2 even more than the first including myself. No hate your way though. I also know plenty of people who prefer just the first film and then of course there are those that despise the whole thing.

    I’m so pleased you said about Frozen 2, it has better songs, better message but I do understand what you mean about it needing Frozen in the first place, for the not obvious reasons.
    Physically can’t choose a favourite Disney movie as that’s like choosing children but it’s definitely not either Fox and the Hound or The Black Cauldron #childhoodtrauma 🤣

    • @ModernMouse
      @ModernMouse  Год назад

      Spoilers for my personal list but Fox and the Hound is on there, not really because of the film, but because it's the first Disney movie I ever saw so it's more of an experience thing than anything else but it's super traumatizing. Maybe that's why I'm the way I am!
