I don't get why this masterpiece soundtrack is so underappreciated with so little views compared to other ost? This is the best soundtrack that perfectly fits the atmosphere of season 4 IMO.

It isn't necessarily. Most of the views are on Samuel Kim's version since it was the first to realize during the peak of S4 so most ppl searching for it went there. It has 7+ million views rn.

Although Samuel Kim did a fantastic job, I love the heaviness and impact that the official song has with it with the drums
You should check out other artists, like PianoPrince, Hurakion Covers etc... not just kim

I love how the OST sounds chaotic and elegant at the same time. It truly represents the Warhammer Titan, Lara is precise in constructing structures and uses them for utter destruction.
Ngl I feel like during the fight when mikasa showed up she just threw random shit out left and right with no goal in sight. That ultimately ended up sapping her energy and immobilizing her in the long run. I.e getting her killed.

@@Simon-lq5uk its a bit like eren in his first fight with annie, he had no combat experience, so he was defeated, but survived since he could have the founder and eating him was risky. This time, eren was the experienced one, and had nothin holding him back, so the outcome was kinda understandable

@@yousefsaber1 Technically not all tho. Marco, Annie, Reiner (the depressed titan form) and Armin's titan was hand drawn plus some scenes of Eren, Zeke, Porco, and Pieck were also hand drawn.

I knew the soundtrack felt different this season but still i thought Sawano did half of the songs or sth. Kohta Yamamoto proved himself an excellent composer. Legendary composers for this anime in whole

I wish this theme was played more in the show... It was used just for about 2 episodes and thats it. Its one of his finest themes in the OST

My God this song is easily one of the best of the entire series. So much raw emotion in this from both sides of the war.
even the instruments sounds like its battling it out
the elegant instruments clashing with the chaotic synth, a mix of the old aot ost style that represent the scouts and eren while the elegant instruments obviously play the part of the warhammer.
I didn't knew why the soundtrack was such an elegant one but your explanation was right on the mark.

I liked the manga translation here:
"Mine was the first spear to pierce the enemy." (referencing to Helos and Warhammer's spire through Eren)
@@kait3n10 honestly a lot of the dialogue is better in the manga. Eren’s speech to the subjects of Ymir when he activated the rumbling is cooler
If you really think about it, the violin, drums and especially piano and some cello are all typically used in themes of noble/rich characters in media. This is genuinely perfect for the Tyburs.

They removed some layers except the guitar and piano for that episode. Its pretty much the same

@@justaguy2023 yep he's correct. And that happens through the power of the director of the episode. Basically the director gets to chose want he/she wants to happen in an episode
They do that a lot man, the same in s3 with barrichestra, when Grisha first laid eyes upon Dina when she walked in the restorationists room, that version of bArrichestra is the best I’ve heard but the official version is a lot faster

When I saw this for the first time, I was in awe. The Warhammer emerging from the debris sent shivers down my spine. It looked very identical to the manga panel as well. Can’t wait for part 2!!!!

This is what I love about Eren, he doesn’t care about anything else, he just wants his people of Paradis to live. He doesn’t care what race they are, whether they’re Eldian or not, being from the Island is enough for Eren to consider them his own people. He himself said this. He isn’t like others in the show, who are either with Eldia or Marley’s side. The Attack Titans had already been known to fight for its own goals that sometimes even went against Eldia’s own goals back then. The Attack Titan belongs to neither the Eldians or Marleyans, neither does Eren. The Attack Titan along with Eren have always been free, and it’ll just keep moving forward.
I agree to everything you said except Eren being free. He was never free. In fact, Eren was the biggest slave in the whole show. A slave to fate that he couldn't change no matter what.
Disagree. I think Eren only cares to protect the people he loves, aka Mikasa, Armin and co. He doesn't care about Paradis or Marley anymore. Which is why he told Reiner that it's the same on either side of the sea.

Amazing soundtrack!! also the art in this video is done by Takayuki Sano an animator from MAPPA he done a lot of scenes in S4 like the Warhammer transformation and the "Bring it on, Reiner" scene.

No damn reason this song goes this hard man. Personally I call it the ‘Marleyean titan theme’ because it comes up when the cart, warhammer, and jaw titan arrives in the raid of liberio.
The entire Marley Attack Arc gave me so much anxiety but it was so damn GOOD! WITH THE SCOUTS TO THE WORRIORS TO EREN. LIKE DAMN.

The motifs/variations used in the episodes are just tracks that can be used by the sound director to fit the scene. They are never released in the albums smh. Like the Reiner Bert reveal variation in episode 2x06 isn't the way it's played out in the album

Nah, the official release is always with all the instruments and effects. What we get in the studio are the same tracks with less instruments. Thank God there are a lot of people doing rips from the anime and probanly the new season will get some rips too

This has been my go to music during tough engineering term final days for a long time. The chaotic elegance of this remembers me of the ensuing battle ahead and somehow helps to find the strength to move forward. I will be graduating by the end of may 2023, listening to this under high pressure will be missed!
Maybe it's because I work at an amusement park, but I can't get the slight vibe of a carousel's automatic percussion out of my head from this.
I think it's what I assume to be a xylophone in the background that sells it to me.
Tip: Play this while fighting against Lady Maria of the Astral Clocktower or any other boss in Bloodborne
Best AoT track of all time for me, and that said quite a lot since this show is really stacked with just amazing ost, it's a shame that it had an ending like that

Underrated OST.
This song is a master piece .I believe it resemblance the war between marley and eldia. It shows how beautiful but chaotic the war is. The vibes that it gives me are like me being in a battlefield fighting the enemies and my colleagues are dying in my face.

At least Titans didn't have the power of propaganda. They killed you and were DONE with it. Marleyans? They'll murder you, then as they're killing you, they'll announce to everyone that YOU started it (a lie, of course), and then keep killing you while being seen as heroes by the rest of the world. Holy CRAP this show is brutal. And the soundtrack really helps make you feel that.

Kind of, Hiroyuki Sawano is definitely a much better composer than Yamamoto , but previous seasons repeated songs even more than season 4, also, most of the songs are remixes from season 1
