Will keep it in mind for a future review. My colleagues collected the same unit (but newer black paint job) from a London gym last week to put it in to storage during a house move. The gym's been in constant use for roughly 2.5 years and was pretty much the same as the day it was installed :)
Hey finally a proper review about an FT .. thanx for that .. May you could make some workout videos on ot so we can see how sturdy it is ? And one more thing what are the dimensions and where to buy it ? Great video thanks
No problem. This video was circa 7-years ago. It's now known as the ATX MFR-720, if you look that one up. Dimensions will be available with the product, but factor that it's DAP propertions with rough 1.2m between the uprights (4ft), with then the smith bar making it around 6ft wide overall. The low-slung feet was always popular, as it meant the unit came in at 230cm high and fitted modern European homes at usualy 240cm ceiling height. Hope this helps further.
Hi Emil, smith bar has normal plate-loading. Stack is connected to pulleys only. Having used stack-weight smiths, I'm not wildly keen on them; therefore, I think I like this multigym set-up as is. I hope this helps! :) Matt
I have done a fair bit of research on these and the price excluding vat is £2400 approx. Even that is too much for a piece of home gym equipment that will depreciate in value rapidly.I think that it looks like a great bit of kit and would buy one tomorrow if it were £1500 which is a much more realistic price.
Did your opinion about this monster machine change or can you still recommend it? It seems ATX is copying this machine exactly and I'm thinking to buy it. Of course it's far away from cheap, so I am happy to hear some opinions or experiences with this monster to make up my decision. And sorry for my English, it's not my native language 🙃
Hello Muckihito, There's a few copies out there now, but the ATX one is the Barbarian one. MegaTec, Barbarian, and ATX were all belonging to the same parent company, IFS. Now, Megatec and Barbarian fall under the ATX brand name. I've seen the ATX one (MFR-720) up close in recent times and it see's some minor improvements since this original model many years ago. It's a very good unit! I hope this helps :) Matt
I'd say true 10-years ago, but many UK and European multigyms now offer decent height for users, while still being semi-considerate of their home surroundings. The home gym revolution has come a long way in 10-years or so.
It's a lot of money toward a home gym, granted. But, for an equivalent DAP, you'll be looking to pay around £2000, so, add to that the smith machine and half rack and the cost makes sense. I'd rather have them all as separate stations, which isn't massively different price-wise, however, it also takes up a lot more room, which is why this gym set up is pretty popular....plus, it's very functional...there's little compromise.
mal conçu trop compact on touche les coudes sur les montants noirs au developpé couché.poulies trop démultipliés 100 kgs egal 50 kgs.tres cher pour ce que c est tres decu de mon achat.
Would love to see a more comprehensive review on this machine. How it performs for each possible exercise and holds up after heavy use.

Hi what about the assembly ? Thx
How much it's price in indian Currency...?
Does the smith connect with the plugin weights or do they need plates?

Lovely machine. Just that u could have asked a mate to shoot and u could have added voice and more demonstrations
That would have been better.

they actually cost about that right now, because they are copied from almost every company in fitness...

Biggest issue with many of the machines is the height. They are too short for most people.

Bao nhiêu tiền Việt nam có ko
The best multigym are probably Bodyforce X9 and Tytax Stzulka
Way too expensive for what it is. £3400 must be joking
