  • The white margin Spanish dancer nudibranch is the largest sea slug of its kind in Hawaii growing over ten inches long. They are poisonous to eat so most predator fish leave them alone but if you lightly touch one they will flare out to look larger then they are. They have feather like gills on their back and they crawl around on the reef eating poisonous sponges. If you gently pick one up it will start dancing through the water much like a Spanish dancer! It is amazing to watch and rarely captured on video! This video clip is in my full length movie about Hawaiian marine life that is being used for school educational programs.
