An important story that I've never heard before and one that should be taught to children in school. We learn about Rosa Parks and Martin Luther King but we need to learn more about the brutality of America's racist history. This story and Emmet Till's and others. I've also started learning more about Native Americas and there's a lot of trauma there too.
My God. I wish they spoke this truth at any point in my education. Since I don’t trust our educational institutions to do this in the future, I’ll make sure my children know the truth.

The jury found the police chief not guilty on all charges, despite his admission that he had indeed blinded Issac. The courtroom broke into applause upon hearing the verdict.
