But I think it would be very interesting and cool if you played songs that are successful in Latin American countries and others. Make a monthly poll on your Instagram, ask the opinion of your fans of different nationalities about which songs you could play, which ones they would most like to see, etc. Many drummers lack this, it is a personal opinion that I have. If you don't agree, fine, don't take me and bad.

I’m a Big fan Eric.....but if you’re going to play Salsa, you should play it as authentically as possible. Playing Latin grooves along with showing your knowledge of the Clave to ensure your grooves fit with the track. This type of music is very different than throwing licks and chops on top of the breaks like you did here. I’m a huge fan, I’m just saying, I wish you did some homework before you dive into the Latin world. It’s very different than Pop, Gospel or Rock.

@@gaboodrums Don’t get me wrong.....Eric is a beast. I’ve been a fan since his Gospel Chops days.....but Latin music is a different beast. I’m not looking for him to sound like Horacio “El Negro” Hernández or Dafnis Prieto....I’m just looking for authenticity and respect towards the genre just like anyone would expect for any other genre. You can’t just play chops, throw some grooves in and then say you’re playing “Salsa”. That’s a “no-no”.....it’s way more than playing 2 and 4 like in Gospel or Rock. Much more complex then that. But I’m glad he is using his platform to try stuff out of his comfort zone. Eric is still one of my favorites for sure, that will never change.

Coincido hasta cierto punto. Pero creo que su intención es bacilarse tocando la canción a su estilo. No creo que haya querido tocar estrictamente los ritmos y darle al tumbao o el songo... Se respeta su intención de lanzarse con temas Latinos, un músico de su talla a veces por gusto propio no se da el tiempo de escuchar temas latinos y menos subirlos a sus cuentas. Si se mandó de loco con esos chops de al final iajajaja
